• Hail, we're RedGuides. We want you to play six (yes, 6!) EverQuest characters at once. We have scripts and a friendly community to help, please join our playstyle and say hello! 👋
  • We've added LLM sections to our Terms & Rules and Resource Rules, for everyone's sanity & in-game safety.

    a. Do not replace your voice with an LLM. This goes for your posts and your scripts. Drafting and editing with a tool is fine, but don't take you out of what you share.
    b. Do not replace your EQ character's voice with an LLM. We don't want scripts that speak over /ooc, /shout or other public channels. This has been an unwritten rule that's kept casino scripts off the site for decades, but we're now compelled to make it clear: keep automated communication private.

    Why Does RG Review Scripts?
Nearly every LLM-written Lua script we see is making your character do impossible things, and rarely in a way that's beneficial to you. We've seen heavy server hammering, /target over impossible distances when /nav spawn would passively accomplish the same thing, a spawn search that fires 20+ times per second, and other pointless actions that are likely annoying GMs.

You are welcome to use LLMs as a tool to structure, draft, and edit your work, but please read critically before hitting /lua run

This was Fantastic!! All the info I found myself needing was linked to here, or in the vids. Great job /cheer, and many thanks!
I am an off an on EQ player and I found this software "somewhat" helpful with boxing. I find the KissAssisst macro and MQ2### scripts to be somewhat wonky. The Nav goes into walls (yes I updated the mesh), the scripts make casters buff themselves and melee pick their noses while I get a beat down. (even with checking some settings) I used it in a 6 toon group, and then a 3 toon / 3 merc group and felt the same. IN THEIR DEFENSE I have only reached a lvl of 60 and have a feeling the macro and scripts may perform better at higher levels. But for me, I found them more of an annoyance than a use.
HOWEVER, I will say that I have found the DanNET commands extremely useful because they allow me to issue commands to my other group members from my main (heal, paci, root, etc) which in itself is more than worth the sub fee. I am currently using this setup in a 3 toon / 3 merc setup but can very much see its uses with a 6 toon team.
Many thanks, and please keep up the great work!! /salute
