• Hail, we're RedGuides. We want you to play six (yes, 6!) EverQuest characters at once. We have scripts and a friendly community to help, please join our playstyle and say hello! 👋
  • We've added LLM sections to our Terms & Rules and Resource Rules, for everyone's sanity & in-game safety.
    Read more
    a. Do not replace your voice with an LLM. This goes for your posts and your scripts. Drafting and editing with a tool is fine, but don't take you out of what you share.
    b. Do not replace your EQ character's voice with an LLM. We don't want scripts that speak over /ooc, /shout or other public channels. This has been an unwritten rule that's kept casino scripts off the site for decades, but we're now compelled to make it clear: keep automated communication private.

    Why Does RG Review Scripts?
    Nearly every LLM-written Lua script we see is making your character do impossible things, and rarely in a way that's beneficial to you. We've seen heavy server hammering, /target over impossible distances when /nav spawn would passively accomplish the same thing, a spawn search that fires 20+ times per second, and other pointless actions that are likely annoying GMs.

    You are welcome to use LLMs as a tool to structure, draft, and edit your work, but please read critically before hitting /lua run

/collectible Examples

This is a drilldown to show the range of outputs and parameters.

Output a collection to the console:

This shows that "Hearing the Call" is an Achievement of collections. The output can be directed to a log:

Code:
[MQ2Collectible] Hearing the Call, Call of the Forsaken
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[INCOMPLETE] The Source of the Ethernere
[INCOMPLETE] Dead Relics
[INCOMPLETE] Bixie Hive Hodgepodge
[INCOMPLETE] The Darklight Palace

Drilling down further:

We find another Achievement of collections. Continuing:

Finally a collection of collectibles. If you want to buy the collectibles you need, you can output to bazaar format, then copy and paste into your Bazaar.ini:

Baz Need
Code:
[Rusty Water Can]
Collected=0
Collection=Scattered Civilization (The Western Plains of Karana), Call of the Forsaken
BuyPriceMin=1
BuyPriceMax=1
MinBuyCount=1
[Scorched Cookware]
Collected=0
Collection=Scattered Civilization (The Western Plains of Karana), Call of the Forsaken
BuyPriceMin=1
BuyPriceMax=1
MinBuyCount=1

etc.

You can output in bazaar format the collectibles you need, have collected, or just all:

All
Code:
[Rusty Water Can]
Collected=0
Collection=Scattered Civilization (The Western Plains of Karana), Call of the Forsaken
BuyPriceMin=1
BuyPriceMax=1
MinBuyCount=1
SellPriceMin=2000000
SellPriceMax=2000000
[Scorched Cookware]
Collected=1
Collection=Scattered Civilization (The Western Plains of Karana), Call of the Forsaken
BuyPriceMin=1
BuyPriceMax=1
MinBuyCount=1
SellPriceMin=2000000
SellPriceMax=2000000

etc.

Tip

Have a collectible, but can't remember what Achievement it is in?

Notice it was a search using a partial name. All collectibles with name containing "clutching" would have been output to the console.

${Collectible} Usage

The result of .Collected (or .Status) returns 0 (need) or 1 (collected). If not found, all members return -1.

Code:
${Collectible[Broken Wrist Shackles].Status}         -> 0|1
${Collectible[Broken Wrist Shackles].Collected}      -> 0|1
${Collectible[Broken Wrist Shackles].ComponentID}    -> 290911301
${Collectible[broken wrist shack].Name}              -> Broken Wrist Shackles
${Collectible[Broken Wrist Shackles].Expansion}      -> Terror of Luclin
${Collectible[Broken Wrist Shackles].Collection}     -> Breaker of Chains
${Collectible[Broken Wrist Shackles].FullCollection} -> Breaker of Chains, Terror of Luclin
${Collectible[Brasse's Brassiere].Status}            -> -1
${Collectible[brasse's brassiere].Collection}        -> -1

Special

Enables you to view the status of collectibles when mousing over them. You may want to use something like boxhud instead. This will show Collected/Need in the upper left corner.
