I don't think read/write time has ever been a choke point for game performance. Seek time maybe, but that hasn't gone up at all. And that article is from 2006. The new Caviar 320 gig platter drives have vastly improved read/write times over all other recent hard drives... so they're starting...

There was one xp exploit already, where you could repeatedly turn in a quest, but some dumbasses took their characters straight from 35 to 60 and even 80 with it right away... somehow thinking it wouldn't get noticed or something... So it got fixed during the last downtime.

Hey RJ... I've been playing open beta with little to no problems... 4 toons to the lvl 13 cap and two of them played extensively at the cap with only like 3 crashes total. Any chance I could have your closed beta account if it's unplayable for you? :) :) :) I'm actually liking the game so far.
