VPN?

Hi there ladies and gentlemen,
I am recently getting back into EverQuest had to quit for about a year, due to a house fire we had and amongst other things.

I been paranoid about running RG since that last van wave happened lot of my friends were hit, curious if there is any type of VPN or something I can use to block interaction between my PC and dbg ?

I typically don't do anything open world due to too many people throwing fits,
I like being able to cycle missions for as or exp, so I can spend time with my wife,
Everything I do is usually instanced based, I want to eventually get into running my own raid, but can't remember how to set any of my buttons or commands up, I know a buddy of mine made some TOL scripts for missions, where when you activated the command all your toons would run the said mission start to finish?

Any refreshments, tips, and or ideas are welcomed, and I do appreciate the help in advance.

I been wondering if it's worth firing up my rg sub and plugins again? Or if I should hold if more ban hammers are coming

I am also wanting to get into some fast power leveling sessions for my house hold, if anyone has any tips how I would do it the most efficiently.

My group is currently sk, sham, bst, and a new bard I'm raising up, was curious if my necro should be in the said group or if I should throw something else in there?


What would be the most beneficial way of setting my group up to knock out missions for my house hold? I did heros forge but sometimes failed on the last mob due to trying to slt tab to run my toons away, my old roommate had a script that automatically ran the toons away from the glowing things that call group members name during the task, unfortunately I couldn't get his help setting it up do to help lost his PC in a divorce with his wife.

There is no one trick - VPN might hide your IP but has its own issues.

DBG has multiple reasons/methods for suspending/banning.
Those reasons also can/do change.
And no one here has full list of reasons - all we can do is speculate and make some educated guess on some of the reasons.

One big reason - MQ use in general - you can't avoid this.
Second big reason - other player reports - those you look like would be avoiding.

This means you just have to change your mindset - "enjoy being alive".
Be ready to start over - it is not hard these days.

That said - last 9 months have been relatively quiet.

Try to get a Residential IP VPN. Be careful what DNS you use or set to the PC you using. Use minimal plugins. Pick a low population server.

DBG can detect MQ2 reliably and can ban for using it anytime. Using VPNs (and similar obfuscation techniques) will only set additional red flags. DBG will link your accounts based on Hardware IDs (they inspect which cpu, gpu, hd/ssd, ... was used when playing the account), mac address, payment method, IP address, ...

As playj suggested, do not get too attached to your individual toons and just replace the toon when it gets suspended. Thankfully ToL is FTP and 1-120 does not take too long.

No vpn doesn't magically save you.
