Problem - VeryVanilla MQ + ISBoxer/InnerSpace problem

Running the VeryVanilla Macroquest from RedGuides. I can launch EQ from the main EQ Launcher and I get the MQ hud and window. MQ commands work as expected inside game. Checking the MQ gui, I can see that MQ is hooked into the processid of the Everquest.
When I launch the game via the ISBoxer client, the MQ also sees it, and according to the MQ GUI it is also patched into the correct pid. Yet no MQ commands work. No MQ hud. No con-colored name labels.

I don't know if this is an ISBoxer problem, or a VeryVanilla MQ problem. There's precious little in either their forums or these forums about running these together.

I am not looking for all the bells and whistles. I just want con colored labels when I'm looking at mobs/npcs, and want to be able to show npc's on the map on occasion. Not interested in automating anything with MQ, I just want access to map stuff mainly.

Any suggestions?

I have the MQ install I did when I did the MQ build from source off the macroquest github. That one is missing almost all the plugins, so I went out and subscribed to RedGuides membership to try out the veryvanilla macroquest. So yes, I have two different macroquest folder locations. Yet only one macroquest is running, the one installed with RedGuide launcher. And it correctly identifies the processid of the IsBoxer launched game client, and according to the MQ window, says it is hooked in to the game.

I can run either the built from source MQ or the VeryVanilla installed MQ, and run the eqgame client directly, and the MQ works just fine in game. If I have MQ running, and launch a single character via the isboxer, MQ says it recognizes the launch, gets the correct pid, and says it's hooked in, but there is no MQ inside the game. I do not know if this is an issue with IsBoxer, or with the RedGuides installed MQ. There doesn't seem to be much information on either board about running these together. I have run across many posts that suggests it should just work out of the box, but most of those are older.

I use isboxer/innerspace and have for a long time. I've never had any type of issue you are experiencing. I load MQ first before I load innerspace and launch my characters.

you *used* to have to launch isboxer as admin (you no longer have to).

if you're launching isboxer as admin, you have to also launch MQ/eq elevated (you shouldn't)

so check and un-elevate isboxer, and then success

I double-checked, and neither was running elevated. But based on that, I did run an experiment and launched the VeryVanilla MQ as admin, and the IsBoxer character got the MQ window and commands inside the game. I do not see anywhere that IsBoxer is running as admin, and I do not get the UAC prompt when I run InnerSpace. Fairly confident it is running normally. But MQ won't activate inside the game right now unless MQ is run as admin. So there's still something wrong in my setup. I am running Windows 10 Pro on this system.

EDIT: I tried a couple other steps. I normally run MQ directly from it's install folder, and bypass the RG launcher. I launched RG Launcher, updated MQ to latest version again, and launched from launcher. This time the MQ window shows up inside IsBoxer launched character.

I 100% always launch MQ from the launcher

I always run game-related code As Administrator. And I exclude everything MQ, InnerSpace, and EQ-related from Windows Defender.

For sure it's a security risk, but I find it acceptable for my situation.
