Question - Type 8s

Hey guys I tired to look this up but is pretty confusing. Got a new toon has no type 8 augs . How do you all suggest I get them slots filled. Mage btw.

they typically drop from hunter named mobs. Some can be had for expansion currency. Depending how far back you want to go, there are some Defiant drops that can drop randomly from any mob in a particular level range.

Personally, I wouldn't worry about farming augs for a new character until you get closer to max level.

Well. Type 8s are raid augs, type 7s for in those slots and are gonna be what you want.

Imo, go for hps

Oh, is this for lower level? Id just be happy as you come across them until you get more permanently level/geared.

Mages also have a line of summons that give you some augments which despite being temporary, are persistent head and boots slot iirc

Mage summon augs ain’t temporary if you mean the ones from the cauldron.

ToV/CoV/ToL type 7/8's can be made from the group ores that drop from missions in abundance as well as named. This is a quick easy way to fill in a bunch of empty slots with decent augs.

Just bump your Research skill up to 350 right quick and you should be golden!

you can make 3 type 7/8s per xpac from TS, and should have the last 3 xpacs worth (can even do 4 if not min/max).. so that coveres 9-12 slots. Anni tower is back in game, thats 2? feather quest has a melee or caster one that can drop, so thats 12-15 slots filled. Weps/shield/range/charm have special proc ones (ac for shield) ones.. there ya go, done
