Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt 4.1991b

Thought I would mention these issues when I did the Freshman trade skill tests

Combine Smithy Hammer is no longer on the vendor in Pok

Had to do the recipes manually because they were missing in TCN
Laminator Roller
Gerlok automated laminator

Enchanters enchant large blocks of clay into large magic blocks of clay and then do recipes to change them into small magic blocks of clay
The recipe I was doing said enchanters made small magic blocks

Can't remember why I noted this but something didn't work right with it even though I had done the GOD alchemy quests
A sample of filtered highland sludge

Is this on a new character for the issues or on ALL characters? Depot does not work if you did not buy NOS from DBG for all your toons..

Also if it is red, and depot does work (IE you shelled out fat cat money to DBG), it means there is nothing in the depot that can be used for the craft currently.

If neither condition is true, then there is something to look at..

Yes they both have the Nos and has been on different accounts. they just wont craft anymore.

Is this on any live server or a specific live server, and did you mess around with the global settings in the crafting? if you turn off the shopping, etc, it will just sit there.. is there any output you can show me when you tell it to craft something.

thank you for all the help after the fresh install i tried it on my other computer and was able to get it to work. after that i compared all of the setting between the two systems and i found out it was the autologin profile i use with shortcut keys. when installing the sqlite script the auto login shortcut key was intercepting the h key. thank you for all your help with this great program

I added that to the FAQ.

Is the Generate Farm List process buggered on Test since the changes to the UI? If so, is there a work around I can do? Trying to finish the trophy quests, did it successfully before but having problems now.

Just tested Artisan and Trophy Quest on Test, it works. I am using the latest 4/28/2023..

Yes, the quest works. I'm asking about the Generate Farm List specifically, so I can request items from other characters to finish the trophy quests without manually searching for them.

Yes the list generation works.

You're right, I am using a custom UI. I'd forgotten the bit that says it's set for default. It worked before on my toon using Zlizz, but now not on the ones using Sparxx. Interesting.

Sorry to bother you!

Not sure if this is on the list of issues or not but I was running the GoD tradeskill quests on a new character and if one of the ingredients was in a main inventory slot and not inside a bag it would crash my everquest client after the first combine in the pottery quest. I used an item to block that open slot after like five crashes in a row the same way and the issue went away.

I do not have this as an issue and I am running it on a new character with no issues. Does this happen on multiple PC's, and are you using any plugin or macro that handles item manipulation in any capacity? Are you on test?

I am not on test, and I probably have a plugin running that has to do with items but nothing is active at the moment. I'll test on a different pc later today to see if I can replicate. I do have the perk that grants extra bag slots, so maybe that has something to do with it.

yeah, TCN does not do Perks.. it "sees" what is in slot 23-32.. not anything after.

I'm running into errors now when I load it up. I am unaware of any changes other than patches and updates. I attempted to reinstall but that didn't help.

Have been using TCN for a couple months. All seems to run fine for me except the Alchemy. Both TSS and GOD alchemy quests tell me my level 25 shaman is not correct level or class. Also there is no Alchemy Trophy quest even listed. All else I have used seems to be working great. Thanks for the program.

Alchemy has to be skill of 50 to do the trophy quest. and I believe I have it hard set to level 34 for the quests, even though it says 25, and if you use illusions, I don't account for that and removing illusions are up to you.

I can change them to 25, but in the interim if you look in the tss or god luas you just change

"mq.TLO.Me.Level() > 33 then" to > 24

Alchemy does not seem to be even listed under trophy. But no worries I already did them manually. Thanks a gain.
Or does it just not show in Trophy until level 50.

Thank the heavens test gets me to 25 automagically.. time to test on test.

I was trying to run Research crafting to get to 350, and when I select Research from the drop down menu under Craft>Artisan, I get the following error, and it outputs a Research.txt file. Maybe I am expecting the wrong thing? I thought it would show me on screen items I'm missing and the zone to find them in.

exit out of everything and /Lua run tcgsetup

Like so many others have said, this is a really good resource. I'm very happy with it.
Now when I installed it and first ran it, the request feature worked fine. My mule was bringing me stuff from its bank - now that no longer works and I don't know what to do about it or figure out why. Should I reinstall?

If everything else is working, I am going to guess your DanNet setup may need to be reset.

This resets your settings for the firewall, do ONLY as a last resort as it will poof custom policies:

Windows Box: Run Elevated Command Prompt..

ipconfig /flushdns #Clear the dns cache
nbtstat -RR #release and refresh NetBIOS names
netsh int ip reset #Reset the IP configurations
netsh winsock reset #Resets the Winsock Catalog to a clean state
netsh interface ip delete arpcache #Flushes the ARP cache for one or all interfaces
netsh advfirewall reset #Resets the policy to the default out-of-box policy

Reboot..

Hi Jb,

Feature / extension request =D

When doing skillups from 301 to 350 in the artisan tab, could you change the order of attempted combines to run from lowest trivial first to highest last?
When doing tailoring and smithing it didnt seem to matter because between scribing books and the amount of recipes I'd already learnt, I was already into late 310's early 320's. But it's really starting to bite me with research and tinkering.

For research I did a quick check to see what I was missing and found just under 400 recipes with a trivial lower than 100 that I hadn't learnt yet, but TSC was running me through the mid 400 triv recipes first.

If / when you have time it'd be very helpful.

My first thought is, the prize.db file sets the order based on the dumps from the .fr site. There are a couple of issues. Example: You might make a 4 legs before you make a frame and it would then use the legs for the frame, I know there is a reason I didn't fart with the order and it is most likely the issue with learning something before it gets to it in the list and it has been so long I don't quite remember. A lot of things I did with purpose and some I did with reckless abandon. Basically, the short answer is, you are in control of your own destiny with the prize.db file.

My additional thoughts are, once you are 300, just go for it, you have to do so many recipes to get to 305, 310, 315 ,etc.. so at least for me no big deal. Also, if you just run each tradeskill on a relatively new toon it will do all the "easy" recipes that you don't have farmed materials for , after that then all the hard stuff comes, or mostly..

So I am not sure if this is 100% TCNext or not, but it is the only new thing I have when this started and seems to only happen when running this. I just purchased the license yesterday and immediately began using it. Honestly I hate tradeskills, always have, they are annoying, but with this I was able to get alchemy from 25 to 143 in no time and it didn't bother me, just started it let it do its thing and on another monitor watched some star wars. Definitely interested in working every tradeskill now. Now onto the problem, so the skill up, getting to 145 no problems at all what so ever. Well now being able to I wanted to make a small stock of major transformation potions for my non gate toons since I can now, well this is when the problem started, it seemed like after about 5 or 10 it would crash EQ no warning or error code that I could find, just crash it. I use ISBoxer normally and thought maybe that's the problem, nope used a regular client from the eq launcher and still crashed to desktop. This is the only time this has happened, when using TCNext, everything was up to date and current. Not sure where to go from here to try and fix the problem since no error was presented just a crash to desktop.

The prize.db does not have the trivial order, that is in the MasterRecipeTable.
Are you saying that it runs through the list in order that is listed in the prize db table, and if I want to change the order combines are done in, I just change the order of recipes listed in the prize db?
