Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt (4 Viewers) 4.1991b

How do I set it to not travel back to PoK when done with one quest? For example, do all the TSS quests in one trip, same for GoD, thanks!

I bought installed a week ago, I believe I have the latest version that includes NoS, I can see the items in item lookup tabs, but I am unable to query NoS recipes in the craft/batch tabs, ToL recipes show up... just not NoS.

I was thinking of buying this - does it come with NOS? I saw your other thread for NOS data base update for $10 so I would assume this already comes with it since we are well into the current expansion.

Thank you for your time. (edited for spelling error).

Double edit: I purchased this years ago when you just put it out (before the price was $40) - I think it was something like $20? at the time. So I guess you can disregard the "I was thinking of buying this" comment but I guess I will leave in the question about does it come with NOS for anyone else who was thinking of buying it.

everytime TCSNeXt is updated you need to run /Lua run nosdbupd , the base version does not have NOS

NOS is a separate purchase.

The NoS Database is a separate addon for an additional fee. If you purchase it, Install in launcher like everything else, then in game BEFORE you start TCN, do a /Lua run nosdbupd and you will see the NoS stuff. At the moment, you have to do this command everytime TCN (the main program) has an update. I made a hotkey for it, as I've forgotten sometimes.. :)

Edit: HAHAHA, JB beat me to it by a second

Thanks for the quick reply.

Does this, or any other addon run around to all the vendors and buy all the scribe-able recipe books before trying to level up >300?

There is/was a macro somewhere in the depths around here that did book buying.

I have a simple question regarding shopping list. Can tehy be saved to a file? My folder named release\TCN\ShoppingLists is always empty.

Suggestion: you kinda already do it with artisan crafting to an extent.
the ability to add several items to a crafting list then buy for and craft all at once.

Expand your thought... for what area? Standard, Batch, Quests?

I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. I set up to make 4 pots. My toon makes 1 and puts it in the bank and then shows the crafting is complete. I've deleted the pot 3 times and started again but every time it does the same thing

Pot is considered a tool and unless it is for a quest I don't allow making more than 1 tool of anything by design. There are maybe 6 recipes that use the same tool in the recipe and they are for fletching.

If I needed more I put them in DH, or give to another toon..

ohh I gotcha. Thanks jb - this is for the freshman potter smith quest

ha! I never knew you could run the quest LOL. Somedays I tell you

Ok I see it.. testing
Most people don't give a rat's posterior about the why it don't work, but I will do it anyways

Ghost Angel Fish is not Ghost Angelfish

Tradeskill Depot selecting and withdrawing is via name only. If the text for the component is messed up it doesn't work..

So, what I did instead was count by ID and then convert the ID to the name and grab by that name..

This will always work fine and dandy as long as there are not 2 items with the same name and different ID's.. which there are a couple..

Which is why I try to do as much as possible with ID..

How many were you trying to make and was it batch or standard? Was the fish checkbox checked or not?
I was just trying to make 1

standard crafting. i.e. I just farmed a name for x amount of hours and picked up an earring clasp, 2 idols, a leg lining, a ring... ect. the idea would be adding each item I want to craft into a list then when the list is ready, buy all for the list and craft them all

My goal is to max out alchemy to 350, I assume the "Artisan" tab is the place for me. I am having trouble getting past 330ish. Its about 55% through the known recipes. It ends and seems to leave so many recipes un-attempted. I did a spot test by attempting one of the unknown recipes in batch mode. It attempts it once, fails once, then gives up and puts the stuff away. My expectation was that it would keep trying until I ran out of farmed mats. What should I be doing to max out to 350?

Edit: I believe the Continue button is what I was missing

That sounds like batch, you can make a list of things and quantities of those things and save the list for later to run at will..

alternatively you could just do them one by one but favorite them in standard to have quick access to the recipes.

You can do a few recipes to a 100 to all of em at once, it is designed by default to skip recipes it cannot make based on lack of resources, because why buy all the stuff if you can't make it to begin with? If you want to potentially exhaust resources used in other recipes, you can use Continue.

The tabs below for bank, depot, missing, etc.. are designed to let you know what's what.

I'll try to play with batch, I've never really tried to use it cuz I didn't understand it. thanks for the info!

I am getting crashes on my brewer when he starts crafting. This is the error message. Started happening today so maybe related to the update?
