Problem - Tank (Pally) won't stop targeting chanter pet on break.

I've tried using /backoff, /switchnow, and I just can't get the tank to switch off the chanter pet once I get it recharmed. I have Targetswitchingon=1 in the ini. If I manually choose a different target, he just continues to reacquire the pet. What am I doing wrong here?

no real knowledge of conditions, but you might be able to use the ${Spawn[ ].Master} check and if it returns a TRUE, then drop target.

Still testing but that seems to have worked.

Edit: Didn't work but I'm probably doing it wrong.

Maybe it has something to do with an EQ setup/bind interacting poorly with an mq aspect, like I had my target key set to what turned out to be the window swap default, and messing with ways to revamp my hotkeys ended with some troubleshooting why my healer kept targeting my Merc when I thought I was telling it to Target my tank because I'd forgotten I set it up a few ways simultaneously and my group member order was contradicting my xtarget window. Double check all your keybinds and the buttons for socials you maybe forgot you made way back.

I know its a Pally and tank, but, is your enchanter marked as main tank, main assist or puller> this happens when my ctwn sk is tank , after mobs are dead and resting, my ka toons will have his pet targeted and cant change to another target, because he is the tank and he has his pet targeted. can be a pain in the ass hitting mqpause and then forgetting to hit it again when mobs are back in camp.

I'll take a look and see if I have anything like that.

I have been able to use this hotkey in the meantime.

/pause 20, /bcaa //backoff on
/bcaa //backoff off

Now whenever pet breaks and I get it recharmed, I hit that button and it clears the target and gets tank ready for next pull.

In the .ini the pally is tank and all other characters are on assist. Everything works fine until the pet breaks. That is when tank targets pet and even after pet is recharmed the tank stays on the pet.

I believe what surfdog21 is asking, in your group makeup is your paladin designated as the MA? This is inside EQ and not your ini.
