• Hail, we're RedGuides. We want you to play six (yes, 6!) EverQuest characters at once. We have scripts and a friendly community to help, please join our playstyle and say hello! 👋
  • We've added LLM sections to our Terms & Rules and Resource Rules, for everyone's sanity & in-game safety.
    a. Do not replace your voice with an LLM. This goes for your posts and your scripts. Drafting and editing with a tool is fine, but don't take you out of what you share.
    b. Do not replace your EQ character's voice with an LLM. We don't want scripts that speak over /ooc, /shout or other public channels. This has been an unwritten rule that's kept casino scripts off the site for decades, but we're now compelled to make it clear: keep automated communication private.

    Why Does RG Review Scripts?
Nearly every LLM-written Lua script we see is making your character do impossible things, and rarely in a way that's beneficial to you. We've seen heavy server hammering, /target over impossible distances when /nav spawn would passively accomplish the same thing, a spawn search that fires 20+ times per second, and other pointless actions that are likely annoying GMs.

You are welcome to use LLMs as a tool to structure, draft, and edit your work, but please read critically before hitting /lua run

News - Sunday 2026 Daylight Savings

Daylight Saving Time begins this Sunday, March 8, 2026, requiring most U.S. clocks to
"spring forward" (turn forward) one hour at 2:00 a.m.. This means you will lose an hour of sleep, but evenings will have more light.

at my gf's work, where they work with people that have... difficulties adapting to society, there is a social worker who is 9000 years old and, twice a year, keeps telling the patients to adjust their clocks in the morning.

once a year, most of them are one hour late.
once a year, most of them are one hour early.

And she then takes that as confirmation, that its necessary to remind them to set their mobile phones' already adjusted time once more.

Oh, and in case you were wondering like i was why only "most clocks"need to be adjusted, let me save you the googling:

  • Hawaii
  • Arizona (except the Navajo Nation, which does observe DST)
  • U.S. territories: American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and U.S. Minor Outlying Islands.
do not observe DST.

Arizona where the sun cooks our brains so much we cant change our clocks 1 hour instead have to remember that the rest of the country changes it 1 hours every day for the next 6 months =P
