Question - So Im hooked.

As a Info Sys major and an old old eq player from back in beta ( I went back to college recently) This has managed to revive my interest in EQ. It allows me to play while I study for my CCNA. Love all the work you guys have put in here. So I kinda figured this might be a fun platform for me to jump into a little coding. What language is MQ2 written in? I've come across some of the lines of code on the forums and with the little experience I have, I can usually decipher whats going on, but I want to actually put some rubber on the road and see if I can contribute to anything.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Happy to hear you are enjoying Kiss. Its one of the main reasons I wrote it so people could just enjoy playing EQ again.

MQ2 is written in C++.
There is no manual or documentation for it. You have to open MQ2 source to and other plugins to decipher it.

Macros are written in a script language specific to Macroquest2

Just wanted to add that without MQ2 I probably wouldn't have gone back to school and gotten a masters in CS and gotten a job programming in real life.

MQ2 a gateway drug to programming.

I been a player since 1999 and I've picked up a few accounts on the way. Boxing was getting a bit too much. I just stumbled across MQ2 and Kiss a few weeks ago. You guys have been doing a great job. I am probably the best person to lower the bar user wise as I have zero coding smarts but have been able to pick up enough to get my characters up and running. Soon I'll be able to set my guys up like you folks :o

i too don't know much about all this programing and stuff that makes my brain halt! But with the help of a friend on here I was able to get 3 characters going, they are a work in progress but it makes it easier when you can't find a group .. now i am adding a friends' raid gear warrior which will make my cleric/sham/warrior group a lot better. Now my only issue is figuring out who will be pulling to camp and get the warrior to defends and be the meat shield.. advice, help would be appreciated.

Pull with your warrior, if your warrior has a merch, make sure to mark the warrior as puller so the merch stays at camp.

If you are using KA with your warrior, set your warriors role as pullertank.

I did try the pullertank and he was melee pulling.. I want to figure out how to pull with a clicky or use his bow. I have to play around because everyone was following him around... I am excited as this warrior have like 140K HP not fully raid buffed. Thanks for the advice.. I will set him to puller & tank and everyone will sit still.

, just change it to name of your bow and arrows your using, although would recommend getting your puller a Huntsman's Ethereal Quiver and adding the following line to your buffs section

Buffs7=Huntsman's Ethereal Quiver|Summon|Ethereal Arrow|200

I have that quiver as well.. the warrior is hooked up with everything..
