As always, going post my vid's of doing the missions for the first time.
As always, these are supposed to be kind of going in without knowing much info - not intending to get all the achievements, or even necessarily having a clean run.
The "first time run throughs" I generally like to do without any LEMs/Events/whatnot, so this year, I wasn't using any. Obviously using some would make things much cleaner/easier.

I recorded the other vids this weekend, but we had several emergencies over the weekend so i didn't get to edit/upload.

This one was pretty straight forward just for the win - kill adds as they spawn, kill named.
There is a cure you're supposed to do:
- Penance cured NW
- Purification cured SW
darkoka has mq2events for it > here <or i suggest using LEM to accomplish this > hytiek posted a modified myysterio LEM <

anyhow. I wasn't particularly excited about this mission. it is/was kinda lame imo


a couple of tips after having done the missions a couple times each:
- if the zone has the mobs that give the the curse so you can get aureate's bane buff; get it before doing the mission (15m buff to healing/dmg)
- use autosize if you're having trouble seeing
- - this was pretty amazing the time(s) after doing these videos, really allows for better visibility and "staying out of shit"
- if you're using CWTN plugins
- - you might consider turning off "CheckPriorityTarget" so you don't re-target the named after an add dies.
- - /cwtna BurnAllNamed Off
- - consider turning on UseAoE

 
You can totally cheese this mission in a laughable way.

no, but not sure my LEM was working properly - toons definitely were running around all crazy tho
 
tried this tonight guessing a SK, is going to be better then a warrior died at 20% on the second Rektor spawn oh well back to doing it the long way damn you SK's.

Hell yeah. Going to give it a try. Between flash and fortitude on a warrior…. we will see how this goes. 24 seconds is all I get lol.
 
I actually switch to the white cons around 15 to 20%(it usually tics down to like 5% by the time the white cons die), each one that you kill will nock a chunk of the blues down. so you really only have to tank maybe 5 or 6 if you time it right.

I'm guessing the acolytes can't be CC'd?

Hello Trapper, I just did the cheese method and got the named to 2 percent, killed the two white conned mobs, and a purification spawned at the end. What did I do wrong? Should I have slow killed the two white spawns or I need to kill faster theme faster?

Faster. You need to start on the two white mobs when boss is around 5-15% depending on your DPS. Basically the white cons need to die just right. After everything has been spawned and before the you fail to cleanse. It’s a fine line and hard to time. I ended up having more successful runs just using the Lem with slow DPS.

What Granditos said, basically just means you weren't fast enough. but if you don't need the achieve it doesn't matter you can still kill the boss without killing the penalty adds, just as long as the 2 white cons and all acolytes are gone.

I can kill the boss, just need the achievement. When I use the Lem and slow roll everything, everything seems to work fine but all of a sudden my SK will die. I think my Shaman is running away to get cured or what not. I can replace my Mage with a Cleric and do it with a SK, SHM, Cleric, BST, Mnk and Bard? Add in an extra healer?

There's some nuances to it that can sorta be troublesome.
biggest thing is just how the game works, Priest doesnt go active the moment everything goes poof but resolves the "okay everything dead i'm now hittable again" coding on the next tick after it all goes bye bye so it can be several seconds or near instant. If you catch the bad timing it'll be long enough for eyeballs to pop.
other thing is you can over dps trying to compensate that(as well as under if not up to par but that'll be pretty obvious,) i learned that being too crazy and using glyph to make sure i was fast enough and you can kill the 2 rektors before all the acolytes go active and you'll poof it all on 2nd rektor kill but then a few seconds later see 1 acolyte additional go active then shortly another and this will allow enough time for several eyeballs to pop as they go active and move in so if you get this you need to throttle your initial burn down a bit.

still easy trivial 30 second fights but if you're after that ach you may need to redo a few times to get timing right.
