Question - shutting off macros and plugins

How do you just kill all running macros and plugins? I can't even close Mq2 and make them go away anymore for some reason.

There's nothing more annoying than a macro running in the back ground messing up whatever you're attempting to do.

I know about /plugin pluginname unload, but there seems like there should be an easier way to kill everything running.

/bcaa //end if using eqbc will tell everyone to /end their macro

if you want to unload macroquest altogether you can /bcaa //unload

exiting mq2 from your task bar doesn't unload it from your toons

The other headache I get is when I use /unload, it kills everything including the program, but sometimes I want MQ2 to stay up but everythign else to stop so i can still communicate with my other characters.

Heck, finding out what is actually running right now alone would be useful. There's so many macros and plugins that load even if I dont want them its ridiculous. MQ2melee and MQ2nav come to mind.

overseer is a macro /end will end it
autoforage you do a /stopforage to stop that or unload the plugin which i answered you >here<
I'm not sure what buffbot is, but sounds like a macro as well? you can only run 1 (regular non mq2py) macro at a time, so it would be either overseer or buffbot (unless buffbot is a plugin?)

oddly it does not always work. Which is why (especially in emergencies) I want an end everything button that doesn't kill MQ2 as well. If I need to get control of a rogue toon for instance.

Everything Sic has given you is an "end everything" button.

If you're absolutely sure you're doing it 100% correctly, then I'd probably reinstall it as something is clearly funky.

If you're issuing the command via eqbc double check you're using the double slash
/bcaa //end
/bcaa //mac end
/bcaa //endmacro

All work for me, all of the time

As for the almost infinite number of plugins that you don't want, you can edit the MacroQuest.ini and turn off the ones you don't want to automatically load

Macros are ended with /end (to completely stop the macro), /mqp (to pause the running macro), or by /mac anothermacro (which will end the current macro and start a new one, even if the new one is the same one).

For example, I'll run KissAssist, make a change to the profile or want to change roles to a puller instead of assist, and I'll just re-run KA while it's already running, to start it again.

Curious...put it here too since the convo of unload end etc is coming up....when taking mine out for various reasons...is anyone have issue with reloading MQ? if I unload...reload doesnt seem to be working for me

Occasionally, but I tend to use the "Reload MQ2" option in the right click system tray menu, that works every time

If you're unsure what plugins are currently running you can type /plugin list to get a list of currently running plugins.
I concur with all the other things said here.
