Question - Shar'Drahn: Only The Young (Group) ACH- Ruined Relic mission- anyone figured it out?

Anyone figured out how to get this ACH? Tried being inside storms, and outside storms. Anyone have any tips?

Do not allow any Elder Monolith to be summoned.

I achieved this by dragging Stony into the blue aura, then other one to the reddish aura after stony was dead. Then running back to center area (like the crater area) where you start with the 2 minis. Once named ran to me, I burned, and got all acheivements. This might be due to the amount of DPS I have. Team is fully ToB raid+ geared.

Wrong one. That is the arc stone one. This is the dragon one. With the storms.

Hytiek - you are describing the wrong event (Colossus).

For the Shar'Drahn event - you need to have a minimum of 1 PCs stand in the auras to negate the Elder add effect. 2 PCs in the auras get adds that can be CC'd.

Is it every storm you have to stay in the storm or pop in and out? In connection to that, if there are multiple up do you need to use multiple PCs to stand in each (one in each)?
 
Likely luck of the draw. For this, I’ve straight out burned every time on him. Half the time I get the ach, half the time I don’t. Haven’t really looked to see what triggers the achievement or not 🤣

Yeah that has been my strategy too. Just haven’t hit this one in 5 wins.
 
Just did them all again and got all achieves again. the first 3 missions with burn you get all achieves, only mission 4 had to do extra to get the 1 heal achieve.

either burn it down, needs to die in under 30 seconds, or slowly walk the boss around slow as possible to make sure you dont get 2 auras at once.
 
2 options
1. Either burn fast enough that no adds spawn
2. do a controlled kill where you do slow dps and stand in all the orange auras so you dont get the monolith adds. Too much dps will result in multiple auras up
 
I basically burned it last night and got all 3 achievements. I will eventually learn it well enough to do the slower DPS method, but I have only run it 2-3 times so far. I did do a /nav spawn storm or some such command to nav to the storm once, to see if that helped.
 
I’ve found that if you can burn and kill with 30’seconds or less you should get the Only The Young achievement. I save intensity for this event and you can go without a healer if you have a solid tank and make it a sub 30 second fight
 
Little birdy told me they are going to add HP locks so it cant be burnt, and mechanic has to be followed (allegedly)...
 
I expect a lot of changes to mission mechanics eventually to make them harder, so I am trying to get all of them done on my main group as soon as possible to minimize the effect of those changes.

I’m about 5 seconds too slow. Maybe a couple more AAs.
 
What helped me get it was to take a dps class and just have them stand in any duplicate auras that the main tank isn't in. Just make sure 1 person in any that spawn (easy to miss duplicates if burning past scripted phases). So a delicate balance of burn and preventing script firing off too many auras to cover. Hopefully that helps - assuming it all doesn't get modified with patch.

Man, not sure what I’m doing wrong. It feels like I’m 5 second too slow but I’m at like 35 seconds total. Probably on my 12th attempt. I’ve pulled out all the stops (life burn, etc).

It’s just the little red/orange ones right? Not the big domes?
 
Finally got it.

Since my DPS wasn’t high enough to kill the boss before failing the ACH I ended up just moving two of my casters into the small storm called aura (smallish red orange ones- not the big domes). Those first two were all I needed to cover, which gave me a bit more time.

I did try slow playing the mission and you get a ton of adds. One each time you clear a storm call. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I tried several times with the mechanics but using the plugins I was unable.
Finally I set group up at his stomach started the event and turned everyone burn always on.
I had all cooldowns ready. sk, bard, bst, mage, shm, necro. I even set the sham plugin to dps. I usually run hybrid.
I did 40s 12.27M DPS and got the achievement. I may have gotten lucky with being if the first aura was on top of me, I was too busy clicking things I couldn't tell.

So doable at 40s burn.

Just adding my experience.

In order to get the ach you have to prevent the large adds from spawning. To accomplish this you must have 1 toon standing in the storms that are summoned. I am able to burn the boss down in under 40 seconds which is fast enough to get the ach without doing the mechanics.
 
To clear up the ambiguity in this mission:
1. There are huge domes of various colors in the instance. These are NOT the ones you run into.
2. There are small red cone auras - These are the ones you need to be in.

It would be nice if people would articulate details like this more clearly.
 
I believe the names of the storm's you want to move into are called 'storm call' and can be nav'd to in code. I experimented with these as part of the mission automation, but normally have settled on the burn method to get past this mechanic (burn + glyph's) The other problem with trying to do the slow kill method is the other storms you want to avoid that they mentioned, some are called a 'Duplicative Storm' and bad things happen if you move into those. Trying to script that avoidance is one of the main roadblocks I am running into.

Just did this over the last few days and was awarded the achieve on some alts. Its basically a burn fest if you don't do the other mechanics. I watch the "updated task post" in game as they happen. It basically allows friends to be called four times and on the fifth time it shows a fail.
 
Got it yesterday, finally. Full burn. 6 level 130 toons. SK, Zerker, Rogue (all 3 have T2 TOB raid weapons - Rebellion, but in TOB group gear), Bard, Beast Lord (have LS raid weapons). All 5 are maxed AAs. Created a 2nd Zerker. Just hit 130 yesterday. Outfitted in COV raid/group gear and weapons. Basically a motley crew. Started event from Gwork, hit "everyone burn" button, and also hit "everyone power glyph" button. Had empowered camp fire going. Team on Assist mode - between Gwork & blue dragon. Tank on SIC Tank. Don't know how long it took - did not time it. But I did notice the dragon "called for help from the storms" 3 times in the Event Text window. He died just as he called the 3rd time.
 
ok ... the call for assistance doesn't start til 75% , depending on how good your burn is you can try to burn him down from 75 to dead before the add actually pops . or you can have 1 toon run and stand in the summoned "firestorm decal" you just need 1 toon in each decal that spawns til the decal goes away . so you can slow roll the dragon and deal with the lil adds as long as 1 toon is in the decal you will not get an elder , or just make sure you have folks standing in the decals as your burning or what ever you like

I Guess it glitched for me, it was dead before the 4th call for help but it did not count... I'll try again

In my script, I have an option to send one toon to the first storm that spawns. That gives you an extra few seconds to kill the named. My experience is if you can kill it within 30 seconds, you will normally get the Only The Young achievement.
