Ok attempted this hero mission today with a success after reading many comments in EQResource website which needs a lot of mechanics/audio triggers/avoidance of auras/etc. Thought of sharing what i found so far:-

My Setup!
------------
War (Full ToV T3 - Max AA - Using MQ2War helped a lot!)
Cleric (Mix T1 and T2 ToV - Max AA - Using MQ2Cleric)
Chanter (Mix of T1 and TBL T2 - Max AA's - Using KA)
Shaman (Mix T1 and T2 ToV - Max AAs - Using IHCMercs)
Zerker (Mix T1/T2 ToV - T3 Weapon - Max AA - Using MQ2Berzerker)
Zerker (Same as first zerker)

Key to Win
- DPS (Two zerkers helped a lot)
- Healing (Cleric and Shaman kept group alife through out the 3 bosses)
- Chanter <--- VERY important, Kept group on RUNES and AE Mezzed plus the DPS Mode on Bosses.
- Some aura avoidance, a simple Come-to-Me button to hit.

In Short, this mission needs a lot of DPS and Healing, some aura avoidance but nothing serious if you have the healing power.

Great job @q8reflex <3 the feeling of getting something down for the first time

My Experience is to manually use one toon to do ground pick and click to keep away the adds. All other toons are on auto.
I burned from the beginning, took about less than 10 mins in this mission.

note:
ground pick and click is the key to win.

DPS fast and hard and ignore the mechanics. Seriously, just don't even bother with audio triggers, or mezzing or dodging auras or the extra healer, just burn, burn, burn. Grab the ground spawn and make a hotkey for it on your hotbars the first time through. Then you have a hotkey for it every time you do this mission.

Yea, I agree. I pretty much knock out this mission in 3 minutes flat. My guys don't need to burn the first boss because he drops fast enough, full-burn on second boss and he'll drop fast enough that your burn is still kinda running on the final boss, who drops super fast. By the end, I usually haven't finished my first defensive disc and I've only seen 1 add spawn.

My group btw: (Tank is only gold account, rest are max aa silver accounts with T1 ToV armor)
Pally: Gold account - all BIS group content gear, including TS stuff.

Bard

I'm curious if you found a way to do the Unrushed achievement, legit. The only way I've ever been able to get the achievement was when I was able to kill the first named before he even got to his special ability. For those who don't know, Unrushed is an achievement for everyone not targeted by the AOE to avoid getting hit by it. I tried running everyone away from the targeted person but still failed, so I gave up and just made sure to kill it before it got to that point.

Kill boss 1 in under 25 seconds and you should get it.

for the less talented like me believe Im close on this just tank n spank and burn....but is there a better way for the members to follow? my idiots keep falling down below on way to 2nd mob after frst burn or can you ivu to next mob till all are in place?

I leave my group right at the spot you zone in. After Tijoely is dead I go pull the second mob back to that spot.No need to move around.

I initially move my group to the far north past the 2nd boss.

I pull Tijoely to the group but then the 2nd and 3rd bosses don't need to be pulled at all because they are close enough to auto-aggro.

I ignore all the mechanics except I'll use the shaman's AA punts to push the adds back away from the group. I say adds but frequently I'm done before more than 1 add pops. My burns are long so I start burning on the very first mob and they just get fully ramped up when the 2nd boss pops.

What is your group makeup and gear?

I have a really strong well-equipped 115 group with a lot of raid gear.

You know what's harder than the mission itself? Clearing those damn Kobolds in the pit to get the collection items! I have wiped repeatedly and now I've learned to pull with the enchanter's targeted mez spell while keeping the chanter fully buffed with runes and cleric's DI.

Edited to add, I go down in the pits to get collections before actually starting the event. Because of this I've killed the Ice Witch while she's still inactive down below.

Gotcha. I have a T1/T3 geared 115 group but still haven't been able to crack this one. =(

What are the reprecussions of killing the witch while she is inactive? does it negate the mission?

There appears to be zero repercussions. So it's one less add to deal with.

I found that the difference between winning and losing for my group was the shammy punting those goblin mobs. When they are pushed away you don't have their AE damage to overcome.

When you say "pushed away" what exactly does this mean? What spell is it?

Shaman has 2 separate "knockback and root" AA's. Single target is called Virulent Paralysis. 8 target version is called Spiritual Rebuke.

So normally I stay on the SK, but when I see one of those little nasty adds pop I switch to the shaman and use one of those AA on that add. By knocking it out of melee range it no longer does damage to the group and I can safely ignore it.

One of the problems with this event was finding a place that wasn't littered with obstacles thus negating the knockback. The Adds always come from the same direction so once I figure out where to stand the group I would have the shaman facing the direction the adds came from so it was easy to just target them and hit the button to push them away.

I have 2 priests in my group, a cleric and a shaman so I have a lot of healing power to recover from the short duration the add was in close proximity.

Awesome, thank you. I will give that a try.

What's this ground pick you speak of? I've done the run many times just raw burn mezz, normally a bard, but wondering if their's something else to learn from this response

They can be resistant, but totally mezzable. The ground spawn looks like a small pile of leaves and only appears after the second boss goes through his retch score emote.

Item is a clicky that gives you a target ring like splash. Click a spot away from the boss and the adds that aren't mezzed will stop attacking and go to the aura created.

is there any MQ command that you could use in a hotbutton to pick up the ground spawn or do you just have to watch for it and manually grab it when you can?

I'm sure there probably is a multi-line command for it but I don't know it.

I just play in 3rd person and pick it up off the ground. He calls out a name and then spits it at them so if you watch for the emote you know where it will be.

Courtesy of @Sum1 :-

Code:
/if (${GroundItemCount} && ${Ground[1].Distance} <= 20) /multiline ; /itemtarget ${Ground[1]}; /click left item;
/if (${GroundItemCount} && ${Ground[1].Distance} > 20) /multiline ; /itemtarget ${Ground[1]}; /face item; /echo move ${Ground[1].Distance} feet;

This is what I use.

That was the trick!! I let everyone else just dps and focused on Shammy just doing his knockbacks and clicking the bile. I didn't try to do anything with the emotes whatsoever, just spam healed and kept the adds pushed back and it was a cakewalk!

Thank you for the strat BIGDADDY!

i think it was actually @jande who should be cited.
with a bard...ae mez ....can actually just burn thru it not have to click a thing...my only problem on that lol is having my bard friend online when I want to do it...Bard makes the mission almost trivial.

A bard helps, but isn’t necessary to burn this. Having a couple of real players is helpful, or having big hitter toons like a couple of zerkers. I do well (although I click the clickies) with my zerk, ranger, wiz, sk, clr, enc combo.

couple real players makes it moot all together then doesn't it.....with real players in the group totally can burn it down, not remotely pay attention to clicks. Figured the post was for those doing it alone with a box crew....if I could afford another account, would have a bard and then chalk this one up along with Grik as missions I could do alone. Cant quite get the other 2 just yet, alone that is.

Well, you mention the bard is played by your friend ... which means there’s at least two real players. According to your comment, then, it doesn’t matter if the second real person is a bard or another class, the end result is the same.

point being if said boxer here had bard....dont need to worry on the clicks....wasnt really making a assessment of my situation...just pointing out that a bard makes all the difference. Most here have quite a number of accounts....Im the rarity here that I do not.

So a BRDs "Wave of Sleep" song is 100% guaronteed to mez all the adds then? Another poster said the mez is hit an miss.

Sum1 do RNG also get some kind of knockback root like the SHM does too?

I moved my group in to the tunnel leading to the kobolds. This bottle necked any adds coming (did not really have many, but grouped them together for easier CC when they did come)

The main mobs ran right to us... no need to hunt for them. No issue with LOS or someone falling in to the well.

Used Shaman for CC (push root, and AE push root) when we did need it, with a necro for back up... but I am sure what ever will work in this case.

cant promise what the song is but man once I had buddy come with me to do it...it was like seriously trivial just burned thru it all no issues at all.

Do not mez the adds. Don't even bother touching them. Take 1 character and pick up the ground spawn that pops during the fight. This gives you a single charge item that casts an aura that pulls all the adds into it. It's a free-target spell, so you can drop it anywhere you like, just make sure to drop it far enough away from your group. You don't need roots or mez to do this fight.
