Tip - Seeking the Sorcerer - Success!

I did this today with WAR, CLR, RNG, MNK, BER, WIZ and it went very well. The Ranger used his Blusterbolt/Flusterbolt to knock that first Fleshling back, then the Monk was using the ground mac to pickup slimes from there forward. The DPS was good enough that we only ended up with 4 Fleshlings and only had to click two slimes before it was all over.

@batweed66 and @Sum1 where are you guys actually fighting? Like what location in the zone? I think I'm having trouble getting shammy punt to work because of the ceiling

I zone in, move my casters/healers up a little to avoid the moat, move my melee toons up a little more, and then just start the event. Basically, I go right at the beginning area.

Same as Sum1 is doing. I am basically fighting right in the middle of the little patio that you zone in on. So like 10ft in front of Tljoy (sp?) basically. I do keep all my guys bunched up though simply because when he does the choke thing I dont want him dragging my tank around or getting the Melee off of his back.

Also like Sum1 said, don't get too close to the the little pool behind you because I have had guys get pushed into it.

When my Shammy does the punt or on this last one the Ranger doing his Blusterbolt/Flusterbolt Im booting them straight down the alley away from the pool. Really the only reason Im doing this is so I can easily see where the green circle is and if they break they come running straight down the "lane" so I could hit them with a punt if I needed to.

I know I said it before but I will re-emphasize, if you can live through that first Fleshling rushing into the group with no slime to be found the rest of the encounter will be downhill even if your DPS is not super great and the Witch shows up on you and you have 6 Fleshlings. There will be enough slimes to keep them away from you for as long as you need to kill the final mob.

@batweed66 and @Sum1 thanks guys, I’m going to try again this afternoon.

Also, fleshlings spawn and go after anyone hit by the green shit, so you could bunch up on one end of the patio and then when the green stuff pops move your whole team + named mob to the other end of the patio/hallway thing to avoid. That way you aren’t getting more and more fleshlings.

Although, the above is 1000000% unnecessary if you can just Zerg it like 99.99% of folks do.

War Cleric Bard Shaman Rogue Zerker. I move to where the garg is because 1 run something happened at 15% of the final named and I got aggro from every-single-kobold-in-the-zone so now I move away from the pool leading to the basement. Burn on second mob and continue on third, ignore everything.

The problem I'm having is the ground spawn CC wears off before a new one respawns. So, I get all the adds before I can pick up a new one.

I dont know if it is my imagination or not but I feel like sometimes they spawn at a better rate than other times. I usually have more than enough overlap but sometimes there are a few seconds after one wears off before the next one pops.

Switched to manually playing my bard, instead of my shaman, and I just AE mezzed the adds while I waited for the ground CC item to respawn. This worked very well, and allowed me to focus on the boss while they were off doing their thing. Got 2nd boss down to 5% when the witch showed up and wiped my group. Overall, not bad at all. I'm definitely behind on gear, levels, and AA, but this is definitely feasible with my group.

Next run I might try killing the witch before starting the event.

That's not as easy as it sounds. You have to go into the tunnels where there are many mobs, packed tightly with bad pathing. Depending on where the witch spawns, and it seems to vary, it could take you over an hour to clear to it.

In the raid the witch doesn’t add as long as no one agros her ... even if she’s walking around in the middle of the fighting. Is that the same in the group mission?

I've only seen her 1 time during the main fight and she was already aggro on me before I could do anything. I think she's a soft enrage mechanic. Like if you can't win before she gets to you, she's going to wipe you while you're fighting the boss.

Just did this for the first time today. I moved entire group up to the first mob (Restless Tijoely). started mission and just spanked everything right there. ignored the ground spawn part. groups all TOV T1 group gear, except the beast hes half TOV half Conflagrant.
SK, Cleric, Chanter, beast, zerker x2. using mq2eskay, mq2cleric, mq2zerker, mq2beast, and kissassist on chanter.

The Zerker x2 +BL makes this cake for you. If you have the DPS, you dont need to do anything other than blast through it. I did it with WAR, CLR, BRD, ROG, BER, MNK and only got one fleshling before it was done.

that group... why the ENC?!? Get a bard up in there!

I cant deal with bard mezz, I played an enchanter as a main for 10 years. I tired bard for 3 weeks and kept dying. so ill keep the chanter. I might give it a try again but ill take the better CC over a little dps increase.
and I only say that because im still progressing fairly easy through content with group mix up now

My man, that bard is going to do WAY more than provide a "little" dps increase for you

ill try bard again eventually but for now im very happy with chanter. bard is only 113 so maybe once I get it to 115 ill notice a difference.

what sort of trains are you pulling that bard can't mez? Awhile back I was playing with a friend of mine, he was solo and I was 5 box. We aggro'd about 12+ mobs in ToV T2 TOFS because of shit pathing and the bard, running kissassist, locked them all down like it wasn't even a thing. Not a single death. I said to my friend "did you know I play chanter too?" Bard mez it quite good and kissassist's mez routine will lock down just about anything you can throw at it.

I play ENC and BRD and the BRD is definitely more technical but if you use KissAssist on your Bard and turn Mez on you will be amazed! He will LOCK DOWN shit in a heartbeat in most cases. For example on Restless Assault doing Grondo, I just blast through him and let the Bard in Kiss handle however many adds we get and without fail he will lockdown every single one.

Also, what @foromoro said, if you are running a melee group, that Bard will blow out your DPS. I play melee and sometimes I have to sit the Bard out to get another guy in for a mission or quest and it literally makes me sad watching how pathetic the melee dps becomes without him.

Bottom line, the Bard is worth it even if YOU dont gain expertise playing him, just playing him on KissAssist will rock your melee/mez world.
