Scriber - Will scribe your spells and tomes from 1 to 120

Welcome to Scriber. Missing spells? this will purchase all rank 1 spells from all zones that have vendors (to my knowledge).

Notes:
--This is a recreation of AllScribe.mac except in lua AND now goes all the way to 120!

Requirements:
--You need to have access to the standard guildhall, Scriber has a heavy use of it.
--You will need a way to Invis and ITU. There are several classes that require Cloudy Potions for Invis. ITU is currently limited to classes that can cast it as an AA...

This is my first Lua, if you have any suggestions, I'm open to them.

Great job on your first Lua script! A few notes:
  • I know you already got the scribing speed - I actually manually scribed at the same time as the auto-scribe, just to speed it up.
  • For return zoning, have you put any thought into the Drunkard's Stein, the Brick of Knowledge, or Binden Concerrentia? Stein especially would speed up the process, for non-Gaters

NOW WITH GUI! and a few other additions

Now Scriber has a GUI!. What does that come with?
-Added Slider bars for level selection. (no more accidentally pressing a letter in the middle of your numbers for level selection)
-Added GuildClicky Lua for the cheaper, sometimes faster travel. If you select any of the clickies that are available in your Guildhall, you will need the Guildclicky lua by SIC!
-Added a Start Button to start your run.
-Added more ways to travel home. ('Drunkard's Stein', 'Brick of Knowledge', 'Staff of...

Hi Kuhle - I use allscribe and scribe a bit and liked the Lua version you have here. When i try and run it in game i get this.

Some fixes and small additions

Cleaned up the traveling part of Lua to make it more readable and functional for others who are knowledgeable in lua
Fixed an issue when you go to leave stratos, it doesn't invis first.
Fixed an issue with gating while in the guild lobby.
Added a teleport vendor for Druids and Wizards in Great Divide Two

Something's wonky with the latest version. It runs POK, Argath, and then stops. Since there's no detailed output I don't have much more to give.
Also it spams Cloudy Potions if they're in the inventory. It went through three stacks on a warrior!

Awesome work though. Love it. :)

Haven't really kept up with this, but the original code I gave you wasn't specifically optimized. Just functional. :)
Oh I'm not blaming you lol. That's what I'm working on now is trying to optimize it. Of course, after I fix the broke shit from the update last night

I broke stuff trying to fix stuff last night. so I fixed the broken stuff. some other things I checked in the process.....
-Added extra delays before checking if you are in the guildlobby before trying to cast gate again.
-Removed loop function for casting invis and ITU. if it doesn't work the first time. do it yourself. It will let you know why its not moving.
-Fixed the freeze when you get into guild lobby after gating.
-Fixed the freeze when you zone after going through the portal in the...

Hey Kuhle,

On a fresh 110 the macro went to POK (awesome!) and then into guild hall, bought the overthere stone, went to OT, and then stopped.
Did not go to any other zone or buy tomes in OT. :(
 
Running on a SK this morning, slide the bar to start at lvl 86 to 115, it started with lvl 1 spells anyway. He then stopped at Zhao V'Karin in PoK library and said "DoCommand - Couldn't parse 'traveto guildhall'.

Also just ran it on a CLR - gated from GL then said - Couldn't parse '/traveto poknowledge'

Meshes are up to date

Do /plugin mq2nav
The mq window will say one of 2 things. Either the plugin is already loaded, which I will check further on my end... Or it will say plugin loaded, which means it wasn't loaded for for scriber to be able to use, and I'll still check further on my end on how to double check to make sure it loaded in the future and push and update. Let me know what you get.

Scratch that, it's supposed to be /plugin mq2easyfind
Do that command and it should work fine. I have an update to push. My mistake.
 
Yea that's an issue with easyfind. Let me get with the creators to see if I can find out more.
 
can you pull up your find window on the SK from pok and see guild lobby as one of the connections? stupid question I know but I've got to ask
 
Run the updater from the RG launcher, found 11 files to update, applied.
Started script again, /Lua run scriber, slide the bar to lvl 86, hit Start Scribing, used Stein to PoK, still went straight for Level 1 spells instead of lvl 86, when I got to Zhao, same thing.

I have an anchor... still looks like an EasyFind issue. My meshes are working fine with everything else I do.

yea, I haven't figured out how to break up the vendors in POK yet. I'll add that to my to do list
the only other things that were suggested to me to try to help you were
check zone guide and make sure you don't have the connection from poknowledge to guild lobby disabled (doubtful)
```/nav reload``` and
```/plugin mq2nav unload``` then ```/plugin mq2nav``` to do a completely reload of mq2nav
if that doesn't work I suggest posting the issue to mq2easyfind discussion thread. see if anyone else has issues with the /travelto command and how they fixed it or maybe the creator can get with you and see why your having the issue. this isn't the first time we've run into the issue but we have not been able to consistently recreate the issue to do a fix for it.

I ran the script, it used my philter of translocation back to the guild lobby, travelled to guildhall, bought a stone to Shard's Landing (uneccessary as I was already portaled there) and then back to Shard's Landing to go buy spells 96-99. I was already in the zone.

hey, I tried to recreate what you were talking about and I can't get it to happen. if your already in zone then it shouldn't go home. I was pretty sure I put that check in there and looking through the script and theres no reason it should have gone home that I can see.

Maybe it was a fluke then? I just thought it was odd behavior. No worries. Ty for a great script!
