A friend s showed me a screenshot of the EsKay and it was amazing. This may sound corny but it's like everything I hoped for with RG Mercs which leads to my questions. If I buy the plugins, and install them do they run with RG Mercs?

You only want to run one automation on a tune. You don't want to run conflicting automations on the same.

If you are asking if a character using MQ2Eskay works with another character running RG merc or kisses, the answer is yes, it doesn't care what the other person's using or if it's a real player or whatever it just does whatever it can

You can test, copy your toonss and use the test server version of redguides to try out the CWTN plugins to see if that's something you want to do before you commit to purchasing.

The CWTN plugins are included for the test server build for red guides.

Definitely check out the sticky for the CWTN section. It shows you how to find all of the information and all of the videos in the guides

If you look at the "how I move my toons guide", it'll give you a decent quick overview of how it works from a driver perspective. In that particular video the bard is running Kiss assist

I meant can I run the plugin on my puller/ tank and my healer and rg mercs on the other toons and will that work together.

Thanks SIc and thanks for making those amazing plugins. When I get home tomorrow I'm going to start buying them. The GUI is everything I ever wanted in an automated thing from what I've seen. Can't wait to run them.

one call out here is to pay special attention to your movement and hotkey setup. Follow sics vides and guides also look at the plugin called boxr as it helps streamline commands to multiple automations ( ran on separate toons of course don't mix automations on one char its bad mojo)

Thank you Greg just bought my Pally plugin watching the videos and reading . But itching to try it out. the reviews are so great. I'm simple if he tanks and pulls he is my new hero and I love the interface which I haven't even seen in person yet.

it will tank and pull.. however i'll urge you think about updating your mindset on playstyle. While you're looking at the videos and movement hotkeys and posts pay special attention to Huntertank mode. Why bother with the OG method of "Camp" when you can kill quicker and look a little less automated using huntertank

I've been using RGMercs for a few weeks now on various classes. I'm curious about the MQ2"class" plugins as opposed to RGMercs. Essentially what makes them better than RGMercs? Also are the MQ2"class" plugins viable for starting characters out or primarily only useful for 100+?

I haven't used them at low levels, but from what I've read they're 1-120 capable. The advantage for the plugins is simply you set it and forget it. No tinkering around as you add spells, etc. It just works, and works well.

Best way to get a feel for the class plugins is to /testcopy your chars and take the plugins for a ride on the Test server.

Odds are, once you do, you will be opening your wallet and never looking back.

Plugins work 1-120 with no real tweaking needed.

There are several threads on this.

You would do best by checking out the sticky in the cwtn section.

They work from lvl 1

I have tried KA Kissassist, MA Muleassist, 8 different MQ2 plugins and now RGMercs. I have to say that MQ2 plugins are the best of the bunch. From lvl 1 to well I am only 100 right now. I just started a new group and they started from lvl 1. Ease of setup. Man until you have setup KA or MA for a full group for 50 levels then you won't understand this. Like Nobody said above, It just works. You go up a level, you go get your spells and mem them and MQ2 plugins automatically recognizes them and starts to use them right away. You can especially tell if they are buffs. They get cast first. Obtw? You are using the IMgui (Lua) Scribe right? Makes life a whole lot easier.

My new favorite char to watch now is my 100 ENC. I swear I could never do the things that MQ2 ENC does. She will take a group of 6 mobs, mez all of them except the MA target, and then charm one and send it to attack and THEN goes into her debuff routine all in like 20 secs. It is just amazing to watch, and I must admit I get the biggest kick out of it. Sometimes even lol. Or say something stupid to myself like "You want some of this?".

Right now I use MA on 2 of my main group, and RGMercs on my 2 of my new group (only lvl 35 at the moment). MA because I am used to it and RGMercs because I had heard so much about it and wanted to check it out. Well like anything to do with automation you first have to read all about it. Because we all have to pay our dues right? I am using it on the Bard and Wiz, because MQ2 doesn't have plugins for them yet. I can't tell you I know RGMercs very well cause I don't, but the Bard is almost as good as MQ2 ENC is. She can lock down a group of mobs and do her "singing thing" almost at the same time. Works well I have to say. Not too sure about the Wiz yet, but I am not impressed with her output at this point. Only been 2 weeks and I am sure it is something I have done or overlooked, not necessarily the fault of RGMercs. One thing I can say about RGMercs is to make sure you have the right mode selected for whatever class your playing.

Anyways hope that answers some of your questions. Good luck and most importantly, have fun.

Wizards are a tough class to work with. You have to balance output with mana preservation so as not to just mana dump on a single mob. If you're going full send they tend to put out good DPS but ultimately run into issues with mana. If you don't do a normal routine then you end up in this situation where you DPS suffers but you keep mana on hand. It's one of the reasons the wiz plugin is taking it's time being made. It's a hard balance to find and until it's in a place we feel is good for the general use it's not something we're going to rush to release. I'm sure that RGMercs is working and doing a great job of handling the class. It's just the nature of the wizard in the current game at the moment. So I wouldn't say it's anything you or the macro is doing and more that the class itself isn't ideal.

Best way to get a feel for the class plugins is to /testcopy your chars and take the plugins for a ride on the Test server.

Odds are, once you do, you will be opening your wallet and never looking back.

Plugins work 1-120 with no real tweaking needed.

testcopy is 100% the best way to try the plugins for free without any obligation. All the plugins that are available are free on the test server and you can use them indefinitely on the test server without making any purchases at all, or it can be used to test the plugins themselves to decide if you want to use them on the live servers.
I haven't used them at low levels, but from what I've read they're 1-120 capable. The advantage for the plugins is simply you set it and forget it. No tinkering around as you add spells, etc. It just works, and works well.
This is one of the advantages of the plugins. But the overall of the plugins intent is that they are meant to be a tool that doesn't require a bunch of modifications by the player in order to use them. Kissassist for example requires you create the INI that tells the character how to act, often times also requiring that you use conditions on things in order to get them to act the way you want thus requiring that you as a player also learn how to write the conditions. Some people enjoy this aspect of things and it can improve performance of your characters. However the intent of the plugins is to allow users an option that requires minimal or no setup and works without the need to tinker constantly as you level up, as well as trying to provide the best possible default setup for those of you who have characters that are already max level. The class should simply do it's job regardless if you're manually moving around or you have them set in an automated mode. Settings are easier to access quickly at a glance using the in-game GUI which provides all the options available for the class you are currently playing allowing you to (temporarily) switch settings on the fly (making them permanent requires using the command in the chat window) and removing the need to restart to have changes take effect (such as updating an INI at the time of leveling up to make the combat assist recognize that you have new abilities).

With that said the plugins are not meant for a lot of granular control by the user. There are no conditions that the user can input. These are all hard coded, so if you don't like the behavior of the plugins then there is no recourse other than the plugins individual discussion thread to discuss the current behavior and the desired behavior. But simply discussing it doesn't mean that it will be changed, as the changes must be a benefit to all players who use the plugins and not to just your special situation. If granular control is something you desire then it's entirely likely the plugins won't be a good fit for your desired play style. Which is why we encourage users to try them out on the test server prior to making a commitment to purchase any of them. This way you know in advance if these are the right thing for you.

Regardless of what is said in the thread there really is no substitute for trying them yourself and making your own informed decision. Remember, even if you are just trying them out it's important to check out the getting start guide and learning how to move your toons around and looking at the FAQ for any of the plugins you are trying out as you could encounter an issue such as chain casting of a buff that can be corrected in game by simply blocking the spell or turning off a setting that may not be obvious at first as a new user.

Not to disagree with you , mostly cause I don't lol. I am totally onboard with you giving everyone a chance to try them out before they buy. I, on the other hand, jumped right in and bought 4 of them. Some might ask why I would do that. I had some good advice from some much more knowledgeable people. Some IRL but most from these forums. All I can say is that I immediately thought that it was the best $80 that I have spent in a long time. It was so easy to set things up and it just plain worked right out of the box, so to speak. I couldn't be happier. I was so happy that I bought 4 more when I made my new group recently. I am of the opinion that I want to enjoy this game when I play it. And as much as I like playing with a full group, I found that it was taking WAY too much of my time doing setup and troubleshooting. I am not a programmer in any way, shape or form. And now thanks to Chat and Sic, I don't have to become one. Thanks guys...appreciate the effort, makes my gaming life a lot easier and enjoyable. How's that for a ringing endorsement? Does this make me a fanboy...oh sheesh.

It's always good to hear kind words about the plugins. Be sure to swing by and write a review for plugins you enjoy and voice your opinion, be it good, bad, or in the middle. If it's bad or in the middle please take the time to discuss the issues in their respective discussion threads to provide us an opportunity to consider your point of view. However, not everyone will be happy, so the test server is there to try things out, for those that choose not to test them before they buy them there's a reasonable 30 day refund period. Simply PM me or Sic depending on who the listed owner of the resource is. Ultimately there's a lot of people that feel the same way @Vrakenor , but there are also those that don't feel that way, and that's fine too. Just glad to be able to help make your journey better if possible.

My experience with the wiz in RGMercs was that I needed to micro more than other classes — changing up whether I was using fire/ice/magic, whether I was heavy nuking vs support nuking, etc. once I started that stuff, it was better than MA but still makes me long for MQ2Wiz
