Question - /Proper use of Switchnow 1?

Hola RG community!. Recently got back to EQ and relearning. I joined an EMU server (proj Laz). I did a lot of searching in the KA forums on switching targets. I think I found what I was looking for and turned out to be a lot simpler than I made it out to be. I am using two separate keys, /dge /backoff and another for /switchnow 1. It works fine. The only issue I am having is that the switchnow also controls the toon I am driving. I want to pick the target and the only way I am getting to that is by having to keep pushing switch now until I get what I want. Is there something I can do to engage, back off group, pick a target with the toon I am driving and have everyone then assist? Like I said, my keys do work. But having to hit the switch now a few times before reengaging is wonky.

By the way. It's really good and fun relearning this and jumping in to the community again!

i use /dgze /switchnow or /dex charactername /switchnow for my bards cause they like to get stuck on things and it doesnt command the tank to do anything.

Unfortunately I don't think KA has automatic switchtarget. I know CWTN plugins do but they stop providing those for free with very vanilla emu. Can't remember if RGmercs has automatic.

I just found that out too . Somewhere Sic is sipping on a case of something with my $20 for downloading SHM.

If you are using EQBC or Dannet and have TargetSwitchingOn turned on, on your MA. Then the rest of the group will follow the MA's target. You can use /switchnow with a param to park your group on a specific target and then switch to another target on your MA.
