Hey all,

I used to use EQBCS and then Mule's version of EQBC without much issue, and I recently began having problems. Was a toon limit implemented into Mule's version of EQBC? I have over 52 toons I use, and I can't get them all to connect to Mule anymore, though they used to without issue. It says connection limit reached or something to that effect.

I've tried switching to EQBCS2, but about 15% of my toons won't automatically connect and I have to go through and manually connect them each time I load.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

eqbcs2 allows for 250 connections, the other ones have that ~50 limit

the auto connection should be exactly the same as its mq2eqbc that is connecting

so make sure all your toons have autoreconnect AND autoconnect

/bccmd set reconnect on
/bccmd set autoconnect on

you also have the dannet option - have you considered that?

I've got autoreconnect and autoconnect on for all the toons, just odd things happen when I log them in - a few won't connect, and sometimes a few will be connected but won't respond to any commands until I /bccmd quit and then reconnect them.

I have tried dannet but had a ton of horrible crashes and haven't experimented with it again since then.

Any other thoughts? Still struggling with this.
I would double-check that you didn't install eqbcs or eqbcs-mule as a windows service - you might be trying to auto connect to that one running in the background

Do you see in the login screen anything weird when logging into EQBCS2? ie Capital Letters LO in front of your toons name?

This occurs when too many toons try to login to EQBCS2 at the same time.
If I try to login 54 at once - about 10 will have the stupid LOname. I then have to /bccmd quit and then /bccmd connect again.
After that it works fine. It definetly works better than EQBCS.

I use EQBCS2 with 16 toons on one computer never missed a beat. Using two computers connecting through EQBC will lose connection once in a while, probably router traffic.

Yes to this as well. But it used to work just fine when I logged them all in at once.

Anybody else seeing some odd stuff after last patch? This doesn't appear to be any of my guys as they're all connected; a new connection is made from somewhere, spews out garbage, and disconnects.
