Having power leveled my Rogue to 110 today I figure I would share how I did it and how I think I could have done better. This is not specific to power leveling a Rogue as it should work for every class. First at my disposal I have lvl 110 Ench, SK, Druid, Mage, Wiz, and Shaman. To level up as fast as I did to 110 you really need 5 lvl 110. One of those lvl 110 should be a tank, preferably a SK but I suppose a Pal would also work. Not sure about War. If you do not have access to 5 lvl 110 chars then I think your best bet is to power level up to as high as you can using the same method I did but at a lower level zone. Anyway first I will share how I did it then I will share how I would have done differently now that I know more about it.
1. 1-25, I play on Test server so simple enough /testbuff to lvl 25. If you aren't on Test then DS Pling to lvl 20 or so.
2. At lvl 25 I went to Blightfire Moors and did the Golden Pick I and II quests(https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=3795). Very simple and easy quests if you have access to high lvl char.
3. After starting Golden Pick III quest and get the Golden Pick I stopped doing the quest. I equip the Pick, used my Druid and port my Rogue and Chanter to The Steppes. There I used my Chanter to pulls some Darkfell gnolls then let my Rogue hit them with the Pick or Throw stones at them. Both are non-resistible so my Rogue is guaranteed to get xp once the gnolls die to DS. The Pick and Throwing Stone are single target though so you have to hit each one of the mob. Sometime when you hit one mob they all will aggro on you and show up on your xtar screen. When that happens you just go down the list and hit each one once. By the time you done they all will also about to die to DS. If for some reason hitting one mob does not bring all of them onto your xtar screen then you have to use your Plever char to target them on his xtar screen then have the Pling char assist and attack. Now why did I use my Chanter here instead of my SK? Well Chanter has a couple runes so I can actually sit down and speed up the DS damage. I suppose I could done the same with my SK since he has Honed Wurmslayer, but I didn't really want to bring out the big gun for these puny gnolls.
4. After a couple pulls my Rogue was already lvl 50+ so I decided to move over to Icefall Glacier and pull some wolfs/bears.
5. That got my Rogue to around 60+ after a couple pulls. Then I figure why nibble like this when I can just go to the highest lvl I think my SK would be able to handle the pull? So I used my Druid to port my Rogue and SK to The Ground.
6. When I got to The Ground I pulled the spot just beyond where we ported in. After clearing those instead of waiting for respawn I succored to the safe spot in the zone right outside of HoT Lower Floor. There I pull that area as well. So going back and forth between the two areas there wasn't any down time. These do take a bit longer to die so I think I stayed there an hr or two to get to lvl 80.
7. Getting to lvl 80 means that now my Rogue can be in the group with my SK. So I took my Rogue and SK to Resplendent Temple because it was Hot zone for lvl 95. There I initially was killing outside stuffs like Braxi, Goral, Hopper, etc..., but then after a while I moved underground on the left and killed pigs there. That took longer than I expected and I think I stayed there for like 5-6 hrs getting to lvl 95.
8. After getting to lvl 95 I decided to Shard's Landing pulling on Plainskeeper, Scarab, Slitherer, Serpent, etc...just whatever within my SK radius and camp radius. I was using mq2Eskay and had like a 500 radius/camp radius. Here I stayed for another 5-6 hrs or so until lvl 100.
9. After lvl 100 I decide to use my team of SK, Chanter, Druid, Mage, and Wiz with my Rogue and let her sit in the group while the other 5 kill stuffs. My camp spot was in Scorched Woods right outside of Chardok zone out. There are probably many better places to set camp, but this spot respawn was incredibly fast, and my group was already hunting in Chardok before so I didn't feel like going far. I think it took me around 12 hrs or so to go from 100 to 110, which probably is not as fast as some other spot.
So to recap:
1-25, /testbuff
25-50+, The Steppes
50-60+, Icefall Glacier
60-80, The Ground
80-95, Resplendent Temple
95-100, Shard's Landing
100-110, Scorched Woods
Took about 27 hrs or so. Not that fast or optimal, but beside the initial couple hrs to get to lvl 80 that I have to manually play, the rest was done with me semi afk while working or doing something else. Now if I have to do it again I would skip The Steppes and Icefall Glacier and just go straight to The Ground to get to lvl 80. Then from there I would group directly with 5 lvl 110 and go to a higher level zone as that is by far the fastest route. Probably would shave off around 10-12 hrs. Now taking 14 hrs or so to Pling to lvl 110 might not be that fast, especially on Test where xp is double, and this was during the anniversary where there was xp bonus(50% I think), but doing it while semi afk(or afk if you don't want to check on your toons periodically) is pretty good to me. I would take getting a toon up to join my group after 2 days anytime.
