Problem - oakwynd disconnected

trying to 3 box useing synergy and as soon as i hit a hot button keep getting disconnected on oakwynd any ideas or advice on how to 3 box efficently i have 3 pcs set up running 3 clients

Isn't Oakwynd Truebox? If so, I thought MQ wasn't supported on Truebox servers.

MQ is not supported on Truebox servers. If/When a server transitions into "relaxed truebox" or complete removal of truebox restrictions, MQ support would be added at *sometime* afterwards.

Other tools such as MySEQ and IonBC are available for truebox servers.

I have seen other people having the same problem. Someone might not have checked all the right boxes at DB. IIRC on EQ discord the other day they were working on it.

Truebox servers have detection to disconnect u if they think you're not trueboxing. They have a less than perfect method.

Toons all mashing the same stuff at the same time can trigger it

You'll find posts on the forum about that all the time. OR the occasional picture of somebody with 5 monitors and a hardware KVB. Definitely common issue.

well if they happen to be smashing same buttons - yep.

so a family of 3 clerics running some multibound setup, yep

not ideal system

When truebox first came out I was using 6 computers with USB num pads and if I hit the buttons too quick on the num pads I would trigger the truebox code to disco my clients. So, yeah

I 3 box for fun on a TLP. Have enough equipment to field 2 full groups but not worth the hassle for me atm. Wish multiple entities (DB and others) would ditch the TrueBox BS.

IonBC works really well on "truebox" servers.

Or don't play on Trubox servers, and you won't have that issue.

Official EQ response several times has been they will not modify/change it. The suggested workarounds are usually things like changing the hotkeys per char so 1 is nuke on a char, 2 is nuke on char2, and 3 is nuke on char3.

Also, just slow down. Don't really need to spam those keys > 4 times per second.

Best thing you can do, though, is avoid TrueBox.

Add a VPN to each box and connect them all to one central EQBCS server, Wireguard works best for online gaming due to best latency.

Short and skinny, MQ (there isnt a 2 anymore), will be supported on relaxed truebox servers, at some point. Its not instant though.

If you want to use MQ, you will need to play on a non-truebox server.
