Guide - NOS - The Spirit Fades

This took me a couple tries to beat. The first attempt, the adds on the gumdrop split overwhelmed my box team as from what I could tell, they are all unmezzable.

Positioning - I placed my group in front of Grakaw in the middle of the room and set my SK to "Sic Tank" mode. This is pretty much where the entire fight will take place.

Healer/Buffer - Put Grakaw on Extended Target window for easy targeting for the Remove Curse and Stat Buff phase.
Cleric - Remove Greater Curse works well.
Shaman/Beastlord - Use a low level Dex or STR buff.

Start of the fight. Had all toons in Chase Assist mode. To initiate the fight, have cleric cast a heal on Grakaw to spawn the Leach mob. It's an easy tank/spank mob. Once it dies, don't waste any time, and have Cleric cast Remove Greater Curse on Grakaw to spawn the Gnawer. Again, straight tank/spank fight. Once it dies, use your Shaman/Bst or whichever toon has a stat buff spell and cast it on Grakaw. This will spawn the gumdrop mob.

Note: I think there is an emote or possible add if you wait too long to pop the next mob.

At this point, I went ahead & popped Dragon Glyph on my entire team to help buffer when the adds started coming in. At 50% on gumdrop, he will split into two. Focus on one of them and either off-tank the other, or just keep the 2nd on your MT as well. Switch off the gumdrop to kill any adds. I don't think they're HP % based, but instead timed. It was a little hectic at the start, but once you get the adds under control, it is smooth sailing from there. Just keep focusing down the gumdrop and switching to kill adds as they pop. Do the same on the 2nd gumdrop after the first dies.

Enjoy the rewards! 🍺

Has anyone worked out a script for this mission? I play a DPS, and use MQ for rest of group. Trying to figure out the best settings and logic to get my group through the mission to farm gear and points.
2 of the 3 bosses are pretty trivial, just burn them down. The only boss that poses any issue is the red blob. For that mob, the little blobs that spawn at various HP% thresholds are the key. You need to clear those out before you get overwhelmed. All you really need are hotkeys to tell your dps to backoff and then re-engage. Let the tank slow roll the red con blobs down without the dps fighting and re-engage dps when the little blobs go active. You should drive from your tank so you can manually select the target.

When only big blobs are up, DPS stops fighting so only the tank's damage is taking them down. When little blobs are up, start up the DPS again to squash them quick. Don't push past 40% until all little blobs are dead because he splits into 2 red con mobs at 40% and you don't want to deal with 3+ targets. Establish good agro on both red cons without the dps fighting, then pick one and take it down slowly. Only re-engage your DPS chars when little blobs are active. You need a hotkey for /backoff (or pause, mqp, etc.) and a second hotkey to start back up. Drive from the tank who tells the DPS what to do.

I drive from a non-MQ account, and use a mix of CWTN/Kissassist bots to fill the group up. I am trying to write scripts for the 'bots' play their role, so I can focus on my main character's role.

So yeah the first 2 are a simple tank and spank. The gum drops are the puzzle I am needing to solve with code. Scripting the tank to switch targets, use AOE agro, call for backoff or assist will be the fun part... if someone has already started this project, please DM me, I would like to work on it with you.

Why not just steer the ma with your main? Then just let the tank tank. What are you using on each class?

I can get the group to assist and change targets with me easily, but if it were only that easy. MQ2ESKAY is running the tank, in order to get him to switch targets with the MA, I need to put him in assist mode, so he is SLOW to grab agro after someone else in group does, then he taunts it off, so group members get killed randomly. Another problem is he is burning his big defense cooldowns on the first two bosses, so when we get to the part where he needs to tank the split gumdrops, and the first mini gumdrop... he folds like origami and the "S" show begins.

Tank, Healer, and 1 DPS are CWTN plugins, have a Kissassist bard, and the last 2 slots are my main DPS and a mercenary healer.

So do the gumdrop first then ;) Can trigger the three phases in any order combination. Other options to steer with the tank in Manual mode. Other options are significantly more complicated

Hence why my opening question
Other options are significantly more complicated
Thanks for the replies, but looking for something more complicated, hence my opening question "Has anyone worked out a script for this mission?". Open invitation to collaborate with anyone working on a Lua script. Just learning to code, and kind of enjoying it!

Agreed, I drive with the Tank, everything else swaps with tank... I focus on one gumdrop and its adds, then just burn down the second one (adds despawn after a few secs of its death). It's pretty trivial mechanically this way, just need to be able to take the hits

So converting the proven strat of driving the tank... starting setting up = Sic Tank mode, and rest of chars in assist mode, easy-peasy. I need to hear from someone who plays an SK manually to figure out what the good SK cooldowns they save for gumdrops, stop MQ2eskay from using those on the first 2 bosses.

Basic workflow would be
Wait for mission to open, say ready to zone in.
Upon zoning in, rebuff as needed
When buffs done, move to spots
Wait for mission to start (player triggers with heal).
Wait for first boss to die (tank position at grakaw will auto attack when mob becomes active)
Tank sends dannet command to healer to cure curse on Grakaw.
Wait for second boss to die.
Tank reminds human with a tell to cast buff on Grakaw
Wait for Manifest Lethargy spawn.
While mission is not complete do:
IF adds (lesser lethargy, lesser Weakness, etc) exist, target adds.
IF no adds exist, and Manifest Lethargy exists, target Manifest Lethargy.
IF Manifest Drowsiness exists, and Manifest Lethargy exists, pop defensives.
IF no adds exist, and Manifest Drowsiness exists, target Manifest Drowsiness.
IF Manifest Lethargy does not exist and Manifest Drowsiness does not exist, target Manifest Apathy and burn.

Thats a rough outline of what I am thinking.

I do this with my SK as main driver toon and I play him manually.
Tank the first two mobs no burn.
Pull the red gumdrop
As adds come (the blue and white cons) switch to the adds and kill them as they come.
When the red gumdrop is dps'ed to about 45 or so it splits into the two redcon heavy hitter mini-red gumdrops. There is a lull here of no aggro.
This is the point where you need to be read to aggo these things as soon as they go active.
When they go active I do this - aoe aggre - deflection disc - at this point I get my group to do their burn discs and we try to burn down one of the mini-red gumdrops as fast as we can.
When deflection wears off, then I use shield flash and start kicking off any other mitigation discs (guardian, etc) on the SK and start the burn on the SK with things like sk epic click. You should also be chain tapping. At this point usually the red gumdrop mini is dead or almost dead. I switch to the other mini and aoe aggro any other adds as they come - keep burning at this point until the second red gumdrop is dead and the rest of the adds will poof.

The key here for getting wins on this was managing the transition from the big red gumdrop to the 2 min-red gumdrops - suckers hit like a bus.

My group is SK, CLR, BARD,NECRO,ROG,ROG - you will note I have no traditional slower - maybe with a shaman this is easier. I found that as long as you manage that transition and can burn down one of the min-red gumdrops you should be able to get the win.

no script but i have a good strat if you are having trouble

kill the first 2 normal
1. Heal Grakaw -> Kill Leech (Demonstrated Depletion)
2. Cure Curse on Grakaw -> Kill Gnawer (Weakness Evinced

but on 3rd one. turn off dps until you kill 3 adds, otherwise they will all spawn too fast. when the last mob gumdrop gets to about 55 % then turn on your dps groups. you basically want to slow play the last mob till about 50 % you should kill 3 adds by then. once it splits burn the final 2

this is all complex.. heal, cure stat, save burns for after gumdrop split, win loot. all this switch and kill.. naw.. they despawn.. burn it~

if you kill the gumball with only the tank real slow the adds pop one at a time and its easy as pie... im suprised no one has said that ...lol

Noticed yesterday that it didn't lock when the last Gum Drop died, and couldn't scroll up high enough to find the lock message. Just ran it again and I see it now it locks when you receive the instance.

I saw this yesterday as well.
