I found that I was out of date with my patch this afternoon and had to patch to get current to use MQ.
Apx. 5min after loading my toons in world I saw the update notice serverwide saying they just patched...

This time, I made it online after updating just before they did the sly update... =)

I was not so lucky..lol
 
So, are we to not use MQ until it is updated an the "Patch Day Unavailable" goes to green updated? Or is it ok to run it as it is?
This is my first time running into a patch day. I've not been here long.

"patch day unavailable" means that the MQ patch doesn't match with the current version of EQ that the EQ launcher will download to you.

In today's hotfix they updated (optionally) EQ, the EQ from before that matches the current MQ - and you're fine to continue using yesterday eq/mq since it is an "optional" patch

if you run dbg launcher, then you will have the newer EQ, which the current available MQ does not work for yet - so you won't be able to MQ on the current EQ, which is why "patch day unavailable"
 
I think I understand. I am assuming that by logging in via the MQ - Characters selection - and seeing the MQ going at character select, I'm good to go. Just dont run the launcher.

yep.

willy nilly running the dbg launcher is a bad practice
 
Another solution to avoid the "temptation" of running those DPG launchers...just stay online period :D...and use AUTO LOGIN!!!!! I patched EQ and RG last Wed Live updates...won't go offline or update till Dec SoR release.
But deff need to stop running those EQ Launchers so much.
 
Either way I still have to wait for the updated patcher to perform all of this? Recently returned player don't usually visit the site unless I have too. Watched the video on Auto-Login guess I will try that moving forward.
