Question - New 125 warrior KA ini- need some suggestions.

Hey all been working tirelessly on a new warrior ini. I was getting frustrated somewhat randomly blowing through all my abilities based mostly on HP/Mob count/ named and thought I could come up with something new for us all to use.

So far it is working pretty well. Here is the general comments and some of my issues.

Comments:
;DW always during Fortitude and Flash of Anger
;Brightfield onslaught and War Shoels Together plus Charged Disc (if available)
;Warrior's Bravery when CoA BP (Guardian's Bravery) goes down
;Roaring/Current Chest when Ecliptic Shield goes down
;Stand and Warrior's Resolve together
;Spire when everything else is down (reduced DPS)

So far all of that is seeming to work. Now here are the problems:
- Trying to time when Climactic Stand goes off... not sure how to build logic to use stand when i'm getting hammered, without tying it to 4+ mobs or named...
- Same with timing on when to use Brightfeld Onslaught... Not getting hammered enough that I need vigorous defense up and can switch to higher DPS.
- My cond for when to pop armor of rallosian runes conflict with climactic stand so I turned them off... Was thinking about what logic to use on this one too...

Other than that, things seem to be running pretty smooth. Wasn't sure on using DPSOn=2 or use 1 for something like this. Also put all dmg mitigation abilities as 100, then my mash keys at 99, with everything else 98 or below.

Interested in everyone's thoughts and ideas. @Sic 's ini got me really far and honestly worked great for all group content other than spirit fades mission (only one that I had to run manually). Was hoping this one could work for more difficult missions or for slightly undergeared groups.

Shotgun approach to single target aggro is not your friend. Would use conditions to check for aggro first after casting a single taunt disc/spell of your choosing. ( Not Ageless or Uncond Attent )

May work in your group set up, but will get you in trouble if someone has pet taunt on or during a burn and you loose aggro and don't have anything left but taunt.

Unconditional Attention should be used sparingly ( only if all else fails ) 10 min recast and very rarely needed.

Rampage is very good for AE aggro if your not concerned about breaking mezz, and has a nice damage component as well.

Would cycle "Brace for Impact" and "End of the Line" with your other damage mitigation disc/AA's for only when you need it. ( Due to recast timer )

Determined Reprisal shares a timer(12) with Wade into Conflict.

Decisive Strike shares timer with "Infuriate" and a lot of other timer(9) Disc. Need to pick your poison with timer (9) Disc. And yes I know Decisive strike only works on 20% and below. So may not matter at that point.

Would suggest trying a 2HS for max damage in this expansion. ( I realize in NOS it was DW )

"Vigorous Defense" should always be up unless your trying to DPS or you have Stand or Fort running. I would have to run this to see if that's the case. Can't tell due to you having a lot going on here for just group content. This would have to be ran in Raid content to see how it really works.

When playing your Warrior in group content it is not necessary to know a lot about a warrior and can get away with just smashing your keys willy nilly so to speak. Mobs die way to fast to have to worry about how to best utilize your damage mitigation disc/AA;s efficiently. unless your pulling 6+ mobs with a named.

In a Raid situation when Mobs have a bazillion HP's and hit like a freight train and you have peeps that don't know how to control their aggro and pet classes that don't know how to control their pets. That is when things get fun and it really matters.

( My main is a war and I am MT in my guild ) I realize it is difficult to automate a warrior well, but I think you are on the right path. Don't stop adjusting it just because it works. Try to make it efficient as well. There is no need to cast a lot of these disc/AA's all at once. The biggest challenge for a warrior is learning to dance through our damage mitigation disc and AA's due to the long recast timers on a lot of them. Same goes for obtaining and keeping aggro. And how to stay alive when things go south. But I really like what you have done here!

If I recall correctly Brightfield's and War Sheols conflict. I usually run bright on its own or with Imperators Command. Then once it wears off War Sheols and Perforate/Fellstrike in whichever order you prefer. If you are missing swings enough for charge to make a difference you have other issues that need to be addressed

what is cond31?
Good catch! Relic from previous ini.

They actually pair well together for big DPS boost. I use charge since I am Crit capped. I added the following so I can switch back on forth depending on if I am using trophies or not:

DPS8=Charge Discipline|98|Cond6
;DPS8=Mighty Strike Discipline|98|Cond6

Good call, i'm crit capped when using trophies but without I should be using mighty Strike:
DPS8=Charge Discipline|98|Cond6

Not sure what to do here... Might take unconditional out and use it in DPS with a ${Target.Named} cond. Not sure how else to save it and only use when needed. Maybe same thing with Ageless Enmity but cond to trigger when Unconditional isn't active or isn't ready.

In regards to the others, I might have blast of anger and Grasp at 100, and then should I just tier them? 95/90/85/80? Any thoughts on that?

Rampage is very good for AE aggro if your not concerned about breaking mezz, and has a nice damage component as well.
Yeah, trying to figure out a way to make this only fire when mob's aren't mezzed (mez is off)... I can do that on single target but checking if mob is mezzed on xtarget is a lot harder. I might toggle it on and off for raid/missions versus group grinding. Something like this Cond30=${Me.XTarget}> 2 && ${Target.Distance}<30. And ;AE7=Rampage|3. And turn on/off depending on mezzing. Maybe there is a way to cond for this, i just dont know it.

Would cycle "Brace for Impact" and "End of the Line" with your other damage mitigation disc/AA's for only when you need it. ( Due to recast timer )
Yeah, end of Line is cycled to trigger when either bravery is going. Cond9=(${Me.Buff[Guardian's Bravery].ID} || ${Me.Buff[Warlord's Bravery].ID}) && !${Me.Buff[Diplomatic Immunity].ID}. Which gives it some flexibly during a fight.

And I have brace for impact in both my buff and dps screen to try to recast once it goes down. I try to have brace going at all times but you are right, there are some tweaks I could make to have it fire better when needed. Just worried that there could be times where it isn't up because the cond hasn't been met. I like it to fire as often as possible since the buff lasts so long even when not needed, so I let the ability's refresh tick down.

Added Cond31=${Target.PctHPs} < 21 to Decisive strike.

Yeah, i think i'm ok with whatever one triggering. Any suggestion on when one should go versus the other?

I haven't used 2H in a long time. Might give that a shot and add another bandolier for 2H. Tie it to when Brightfelds and Wars Shoel's goes off.

"Vigorous Defense" should always be up unless your trying to DPS or you have Stand or Fort running. I would have to run this to see if that's the case. Can't tell due to you having a lot going on here for just group content. This would have to be ran in Raid content to see how it really works.
That's exactly what happens. When there is no disc running Vigorous defense will start again. So it is up 95% of the time. I think my conditions could be a bit cleaner to prevent vigorous defense for sliding in when I stop disc to start Stand or Brightfelds.

( My main is a war and I am MT in my guild ) I realize it is difficult to automate a warrior well, but I think you are on the right path. Don't stop adjusting it just because it works. Thank you! You have noticed really what i'm trying to do, which I dont really want to advertise... make a raid capable ini. KA is quicker than I am to switch between dmg mitigation abilities once one fades and was hoping to use that to my advantage. I used a HP target of 60-70% to try and keep my abilities as spread out as possible. Meaning, if my healers are keeping up and i'm not tanking multiple raid mobs, it will hopefully save some of my abilities for when I need them. In testing that was worked some. Still a lot of tweaks to do. I'm open to any and all suggestions, so please dont hestitate.

So I know we had a discussion on this recently but the test patch is dramatically changing things for warriors because of the change to battle leap though slightly less dramatically for automation unless you want to take gambles:

1) Charge will now be replaced with fell strike disc
2) Vehement rage will now actually boost dps but at the cost/risks from its penalties.
3) Offensive disc will now actually boost dps meaningfully but at the cost of locking out stand and increasing damage taken.

4) Grp guardian (rng), grp bestial (bst) and other spa185 effects granted from other classes will now increase war dps more substantially then they did previously.

I used a HP target of 60-70% to try and keep my abilities as spread out as possible. Meaning, if my healers are keeping up and i'm not tanking multiple raid mobs, it will hopefully save some of my abilities for when I need them.
HP target of 60-70% would mean that you would be out of all of your oh shit buttons (so to speak ) when you start to get bouncy ( HP bouncing up and down ). It is common while raiding to be purple clubbed ( Almost Dead ). The difficulties in automating this process is knowing when it is actually necessary to intervene and how much to intervene ( Are Healers doing there job healing you or rezzing/ buffing other party members ).
I would spread that HP target from 20 - 90%. ( You can not expect to keep your self in that 60-70% target range ..... you would be out of disc/AA's so early on that you would have an empty basket for when you really need them. )

Determined Reprisal shares a timer(12) with Wade into Conflict.
Yeah, i think i'm ok with whatever one triggering. Any suggestion on when one should go versus the other?

In RAID environment I would never cast any Disc/AA just cause I can. I would perhaps have 2 .ini's for Role ( Tank or DPS ). Meaning you have to
decide what your intent is with AI. It cannot know the difference were as you can easily tell. I am usually focused on staying ALIVE so I am not as concerned with how My DPS looks when parsed. "Dead Tanks do 0 DPS! So to answer the question as to which one to use. I would choose "Determined Reprisal" if I know I am not going to be needed to off tank at any given moment or have to snap aggro. I would save "Wade into Conflict" timer for if I thought I would be needing it for AE aggro. But the truth about those 2 disc are that they really aren't my go to for either situation. ( Very weak for when needing to do either DPS or AE Aggro).

"Brace for Impact" ( 15 min Recast - ouch ) only use when I see that I am getting bouncy not 60-70%.
"End of the Line" ( 5 min Recast - makes it more versatile ) I still save this for @ 40-50% If its not just a one off bounce.(AI can not determine that)
"Blade Guardian" ( 10 min Recast ) only good for below 40% ( when triggered )

So the questions that will determine which and when to fire these and other Disc/AA's would be.
1. How long is the Event.
2. What is my Role going to be ( MT - Off Tank - Group - Just filling a spot ) Thus separate .ini's. or the ability to change the .ini on the fly.
(I believe somebody has made an Assist KissAssist for on the fly changes.)

I only (mostly) use "Ageless Enmity" ( 3 min Recast ) for SNAP Aggro ( meaning if I need to gank aggro from someone else or re establish aggro when plain Taunt doesn't seem to be doing the job ) Not to just cast on a Target that I am all ready in control of.

There is no need to cast your single taunt abilities during a fight unless you loose aggro. Taunt only puts you 1 up on the list!
Warriors generate hate just by hitting ( Focus stuff - Spike of Anger is built into your 1HS | Anger - built into your face (lol). )

I typically try to stay high on the hate list for If the MT goes down when I am playing back-up tank. Otherwise you will be able to keep number 1
on Targets aggro without having to cast taunt.

1. "Gut Punch" (20s recast) | Mash - If maxed, Increase hatred by 19000 and Decrease Chance to Hit by 50% with All Skills
2. "Mortimus' Roar" (30s recast) | Mash - Increase Hate by 20386, and adds additional 9518 hatred every 6 seconds for 30 secs (5 ticks).
and that's just Rk. II
3. "Warlords Grasp" (recast 45s) | Mash? - Your Choice - I usually save for re-establishing aggro
3. "Distressing Shout" (2min Recast) | Mash? - Decrease Chance to Dodge by 33% Increase Hate by 10286.

All those other single target Disc/AA's are for Snap aggro. Not just to cast cuz you can. You Save them like precious jewels to only use when and if needed.

1. "Warlord's Fury" - save for when needed
2. "Wade into Conflict" - save for when needed

Without getting into the weeds about aggro with these and other abilities and when to choose to cast which one, we have to consider the limitations of AI. Better to stay on the side of conservation than to just blow your wadd so to speak. So think of Aggro in basically 4 ways.

1. Do I all ready have aggro - no need to taunt!

2. Keeping Aggro - I just want to make sure I keep aggro - use just a couple of your fast recast keys and MASH away. Are you fighting someone for aggro? Fighting for aggro is a complete waste of resources - best to have conversation with said party before or after the fact. If they are not MT or in the MT group. They need to learn their Roll!

3. Snap Aggro - I need this mob to hate me right now. No need to throw the kitchen sink at it. Just enough to re-establish aggro or to get its attention immediately. Many times "Taunt" can be enough. "Unconditional Attention" is usually the last go-to ( 10m recast )! and usually not needed. "Ageless Enmity" is good but ( 3min Recast . So need to consider before wasting it. If You can't get aggro with taunt and other Mash keys, then sure, fire away.

"Rage of Rallos" ( 20min recast - ouch) is a great way for establishing and keeping aggro for those long fights. Can DW your 1HS to proc "spike of anger" then back to Sword and Board for survivability.

But consider that your line of aggro spells become very limited once you use the Big Boys. And even the ones with seemingly short recast timers. 20-30sec may seem like a great solution. But 20-30 seconds of not having anything to cast for aggro is a very long time in some situations!

4. Staying high on the hate list - I don't want to be Number 1 just next in line.
Use your short recast timer hate generating disc/AA's to slowly climb that ladder and use your DPS to get there ( DW or 2HS with short DPS burst )

So I would love to see the condition used to keep track of ones aggro! I think used with a short timer between cast of hate disc's/AA's would be ideal. Need time to register if you have aggro before casting next line of hate generating stuff.

In practise I find that aggro for Warriors is not a difficult thing. Meaning no need to throw everything you have at it all at once.

Did my best to include many of your ideas. I've got it working without errors and it seems to working as designed. It does switch early to the DPS abilities but when going up against a named or 3-4+ mobs, it switch to defensive quickly. Won't replace a human warrior player but any means but I think it does a lot better than my previous ini. I'll keep playing with it. Open to any and all suggestions or feedback.
