Question - Needful things for more DPS

I am looking for 2 things and open to advice and help.

1st - Proc/pre crit dmg augs - Where to find/get/buy. This is for my Wiz, I know they nerfed procs but it can still add a ton of dmg.

Note: I do not have CoV and ToV Challenger Achievements completed.

2nd - Trophy - one for wiz and tanks

Other - Any other suggestions would be grateful.

Currently running WAR, SHM, CLR, BRD, WIZ and RNG (will be developing and nurturing a zerker on the clr account this summer.)

Proc augs are in short supply after TDS, if you’re on CT I can help with ToV challenger.

that's fairly wide open ...and a lot of gray area ... are your hero's achievements done i.e.- hero's fortitude, hero's resolution , hero's vitality ? Artisans's prize prize ( +200 spell dmg maxed out ) , Forgotten gemstone ( +100 spell dmg when finished ) ... 22 aniversary copper flecked gemestone of brilliance has +85 spell dmg all that frontside pre crit spell dmg will go far ... trophies ... you get several from progression ( these are the ones you want look at your main list of achieve's by expansion , most are from collections a few from other stuff ) , a few from achievements , and some from raids for the last two ..fanra site has a list of those they are old and prolly not that useful compared to the others but the ones you want are tied to progressions/collections.

Also, if you're a wizzy and not too squishy, you should ALSO be meleeing alongside your melee dps counterparts. In that case, hDex, hDex, hDex also applies, since the other heroics are very underwhelming for casters.

I'm hoping for poor wizzie's sake they do fix that (spell dmg and things like hint not really giving the same that melee gets) - hopefully that will be part of the overall wizzie fixes

If you have gear with 18/19 slots, highly suggest spending some time in GMM and farming names who will on occasion drop some awesome procing augs for both melee and caster types. The other item that stands out right now is the 19th Ann trophy for the Wayfarers Tent. Not always available and is still a super good addition to the shelf.

Going to make a push for the anniversary stuff this weekend. Also ran across this site - seems dated, but relevant. Raiding Wizard - PrimalBrood in Everquest on Test Server (gamerlaunch.com)

It suggested the following augs: Bone Shards of Frozen Marrow, Ancient Diamond Spellcharm, and Exotic Gem and Splinter of Potency.

If rogues could port, I would take sum1's advice and hdex, hdex, hdex in a cloth wearing rogue backstabbing enemies and friends alike.

The thing is, he’s right about meleeing, especially in group content. It’s essentially free added damage and new weapons have both melee and cast procs. The unfortunate truth, Spell Dmg as a stat and hInt are either flat out bad or scale terribly.

A lot of the stuff from PB are still relevant with tweaks. I’ll dig up Kazint’s wizard tool too, it can help you figure out spell lineups for your toon.

Newb question -> What do you mean by PB?

That Kazints wizard tool is pretty cool. Funny doing missions the other day a guild mate said to start melee as well. I remember back in 2000, nuking early risked an untimely death, like one of them rangers. Now I feel like I am just waving a fan at mobs.

You know, I've always melee'd anyway, but has anyone parsed out the impact that going full hdex type 5s would be for a wizard?. If none exists maybe I should start farming tov missions again so I can buy a full set of Hdex augs and try it lol

Yea...so i'm going to raise ya'll one...what about same question as above but for free-to-play (Non-prestige)? I've recently discovered how much these builds can be, specially since you can't force your way through with just gear...you gotta know your class...so what about ftp configuration? How would you do this with non-prestige?

Terse mode: Procs procs procs procs procs. RZ earring augs, TBL type 18/19 slot gear chase loot. + spell dmg, clairvoyance, sta. Mix and match. Procs.

You have a raid weapon right ? Or if not accessible a chase weapon. They have a second slot for another proc aug. proc piñata baby

If you want to open up DPS with a team like that then I'd highly suggest farming CoP IV clickies for all toons in Plane of War. Once you're flagged for field of strife, go down into the tunnels and farm Rolf (named Kobold) until your entire army has the clickies! This is a great way to boost dps for short duration fights (approx 40 seconds per clickie).
