A feature I've been missing from back when I used ShowEQ was that it would automatically track the spawn points of mobs that have died and are about to respawn, indicating it with a blinking dot. I've looked at the spawnmaster and spawns plugins, but I don't see a feature like this. I am not looking to track a named mob specifically, just respawns of any mob that has died recently. Does mapfilter have a option to show respawns?

you can still use myseq for that

no maps doesn't track spawns
 
I’m using Goodurden’s maps in-game and with MySEQ, but with MySEQ’s dark background, I find it hard to see notations in blue.
So, I created the attached PS script to change some of the notation colors as follows:
  • Set to Red for Zone Connection and Succor locations.
  • Set to Green for any notations originally in Blue.

Any idea why i can't seem to get this thing to save spawn timers? My offsets are fine I can see all the spawns, their location, name, level, weapons they're holding, names, everything. in options > folders i do have a folder selected for Spawn Timers and that folder does exist. When i enter a zone I can see that that zone's file is touched and the "date modified" gets updated to the current date/time, so it appears it's able to do.... something? to the file... even though nothing inside the file actually changes.

things i have tried:
  • Map > Show on Map > Spawn Points is on
  • Made sure the configured timers folder and all the files inside it are not read-only
  • Made "Everyone" owner and full access to all the files in the timers folder
  • Edit > Clear Saved Timers, in case there was something messed up in the file causing it to fail
  • I know that it needs to see the mob spawn and then also the next spawn after that so it usually takes killing the mob 3 times
    • If the mob is up when i enter the zone, the tool didn't see the mob spawn so it doesn't know what point the mob actually spawned at, so that 1st mob has to be killed to allow a new spawn.
    • 2nd spawn the tool does know what point the mob came from, but now it needs to be killed to see how long it takes to respawn.
    • 3rd spawn the tool can see the mob spawn at the same point and it knows the time the previous mob spawned there, and it should now save the spawn point, timer, and names of mobs that it has seen spawn.
    • I've killed the same mob spawn point dozens of times and it's just never adding it to the spawns file.
  • Save Spawn Log is on and it has no issue writing when mobs spawn or die in the log file, but i can't get it to write anything to the spawn file.
  • Tried running as admin, tried running not as admin

ok, nevermind... i moved to killing something else and it did start tracking spawn timers. no idea why it wouldn't work for the mob i was killing but does work for others in the same zone

So I decided to dig through the source code for MySEQ and I found the problem. I thought I could save time by testing it with a fast respawning mob, but the timer was too fast. I was murdering a mob with an 8 second timer, but it will only save spawn points that have longer than 10 seconds respawn.
