I don't think you understand my original message. I have no problem issuing command to have everyone in raid mode. The problem is once they're all in raid mode, not all of them register they're in raid mode until I click over to the settings tab. Without doing anything else beside clicking on the settings tab, they start chasing the main assist away.

I follow you now....hmmm can't say I've ever seen that behavior.
 
It's fairly random on how many does it. Seems to happen when I am loading 30+.

no, that doesn't sound correct at all.

the ui is actually "after" the command usage anyhow, so clicking on the window doesn't do anything.

this sounds like an issue with your eqbc or dannet - i'd double check that commands are getting sent and executing

Basically command I am using /noparse /bca //docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} Raidmode 1.

I recorded a short clip to show the behavior. Just restarted computer and now the whole raid is doing it so I have to tab over one by one to get them going.

that's pretty strange - not sure what that is about.

would recommend you get used to using the aliases as they're setup, will save you a whole lot of hassle

for shits you can open the macro evaluator and put in ${CWTN.RaidMode} and see what it shows before you hit the tab
 
Looks like it's showing true. This was on another char that wasn't chasing until I clicked on the settings tab.

since you ihave isboxer buttons on your screen - and you don't appear to be using framelimiter, my best guess it is is an issue where your toon doesn't "update" until you click on the screen - and it just happens that clicking the settings tab is what you're doing to make that happen

show me your addclickies - last time someone had this it was an issue where someone put an addclicky in the wrong place

I am using frame limiter. It could be a number of things and is hard to track down. I've tried reloading and unloading and loading plugins, only thing seems to work is clicking on the settings tab.

Was hoping there's be a command to navigate between the menus. If not is not a big deal. Once they're chasing, they're good for the whole raid.

As Sic mentioned, the commands are what do the thing. Even clicking the button just calls the command as if you were typing /war raidmode on

The window just shows the current state of things, and allows you an easy way to alter things. But all the logic for the command is just passed through the pre-existing commands options as before.
Regarding raidmode, the logic for entering raidmode hasn't changed in quite some time. Essentially all we do is change from using the Group MA for things to the RaidMA you've selected for things. A bit over simplified, but still essentially regarding camps/following logic that's the jist of it.
 
Is there any other way to to get list of abilities the plugin is using beside unloading and reloading the plugin?
 
Is there a way to turn off certain discs I checked the faq but didn’t see it would be interested in turning off offensive in particular or all offensive discs since they interfere with defensive timers

specifically what?

because things that conflict with defensive timers we would only use when were not tanking (per the chart in overview), that obviously means not tanking uses those abilities, potentially putting stuff on cooldown

but specifically what?

cause by and large the answer is no

thanks, i figured that's what you were talking about, but a huge waste of both our times to guess.

I'll give this some thought. 4 minutes isn't very long - but sometimes shit goes sideways

if you have usefort, you'd use that before you're trying to use StandDisc anyhow and then toss defense since standdisc is down, once standdisc became avail we'd throw it.

it is sounding like a really small timeframe that this would be needed, but i'll think about it

Thanks, I just got the Warior plugin last week. I am using a 85 heroic war to level some toons. The warrior on chase mode is crashing. I have ran two SK in a group before with no issues. Can having the second warrior cause an issue?

no, should not cause crashes.

do you have a crash dmp id other than the one above?

edit: think i found the issue. building fix now

I keep getting this weird freeze up crash on my main screen playing my driver toon which is a warr using your plugin. What happens is im playing every things going fine then out of the blue my whole screen freezes but i can see my self on my other pc which runs 3 toons i can see my self moving if i use wasd. if i try to minimize / alt tab that screen which is frozen it gives me the error i posted above. Its pretty rare when this happens but its been happening for a couple weeks now ish.

Good Luck with this one. You are correct. Hope the powers that be understand how important this is in a Raid. I end up having to turn the plugin off when I Raid. It is not designed for Raid environment in any way. Waste too many of our precious Disc / Abilities when not needed. Shot gun approach when it comes to disc / Abilities. It just fires them when they are up.

I'm struggling with this a bit as well if I'm not driving the warrior. He'll fire offensive stuff when he's assisting, and when its his turn to offtank something, defensives will already be on cooldown from offensive use.

sorry you feel that way. many folks approach things differently, and while we try and approach things to be as broad as possible there are still "decisions/choices" that we make - we don't always get the right, even the second time around, but we always do take things into consideration.

this "not designed for raids" thing is pretty obnoxious hearing it thrown around as a slight or a jab because it just isn't true nor is it the whole picture. First and foremost the plugins *are* made/designed with the single boxing person doing group content in mind, that is their primary focus, and this is where the majority of mq users spend their time, so our focus for UX and fun and ease of use and such should be there. Having said that, there are countless of 1-6 irl person teams who run nothing but the cwtn plugins to do all the raids (and have cleared all content with them since CoV), and the large majority of the tweaks, adjustments, changes, additions, functions, and features comes from raid environment specifically. I mention this > here <. Some things become easy and not untimely to implement - like one of the reasons i've been going back and adding automatic usage of some things like bifold and bps and various useful items for class to class - is folks share their toon and might not have the add clickies on this pc, or that person's pc and we want to help have the smoothest experience possible "out-the-box".

Take MQ2Bst and useLowestProgression that just got added - I *knew* about the reason/issue dince they put in the second progressive ability - dbg just didn't really give the new versions of the abilities much other than the secondary effects (think like hps and ds reduction), but huge mana cost increase. We try and avoid coding around shitty dbg design as much as possible - assuming in good faith they're going to fix their game, because if it is something that drastically bad, then people will submit bug issues and it will get resolved. Unfortunately, people would rather say mq2bst sucks dogshit because it is using a spell that you were *sold* as an expansion feature instead of using one from several years ago. Folks also will get up-in-arms and call flaming sucking dogshit if you don't use the most recent ability - take the amount of PMs/DMs I've gotten about mq2shaman using an older progressive spell because we match their BP for double duration.

My best suggestion is make your case, don't toss dogshit, try to not make assumptions about how/why - because it is probably missing a lot of important context - and cwtn and I can and will do our best to accommodate what we can where we can.

Unfortunately, we very intentionally don't plan on making our plugins an unmaintainable jumble of weird bloated special 1-time things - we want something that is going to be around for as long as mq/rg/eq is around, and hopefully we can continue to add functions and features that are desired/needed.

Please feel free to PM me with any pain points you have and I'm happy to take a look at each of them - more information the better

having said that, the timer2 thing makes good sense, and is now defaulted that we won't use the offensive timer 2 unless you turn it on (and aren't tanking)

tone (and especially mine) can be hard to read online, so if this reads like im upset or anything, i'm totally not, i appreciate you adding to the conversation that this was necessary.

Im just having problems with War, he have a bow and arrows, when doing the grind he target the mob but isnt throwing.

If im not wrong i have the "DisablePullAbility" switch on, so im assuming the war should throw arrows but isnt, something more i need to check?

You said grind? Mq2grind? Mq2grind doesn't use mq2war to pull
