Plugin - MQ2War (5 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Is there some trick to renewing this CWTN Plugin? I just hit the purchase button and it gives me some error message about already owning it or buying it for a friend! What am I missing this time?

no. it was simply not designed by that, and does not have that functionality, and as designed, can't/won't/doesn't/will not

and unfortunately, no, there isn't a command to do that because of the above.

if/when a future redesign happened, that might be something, but not currently something on the schedule

it is pretty uncommon to be needing to change all your settings around so much that using a slash command is just so overwhelming you want to die, and in that case, make your self a little lua script (some folks do this for raid vs group stuff)

when folks ask why mq2whatever isn't released i'll let them know because an_image is bumping stuff from a month ago that was answered which makes me look at the thread to make sure folks are getting support =p
 
Hey Sic

Just a couple of noob questions for ya.

1. Been doing some Gribbles missions lately and noticed that occasionally my WAR seems to be getting snared. I mean he literally slows down to walking speed. Normally has FOE on and 6/7 innate run speed. I know it has to be a debuff but I can't figure out where it's coming from. I looked in my "short term buff" window and well, on all my buffs and can't seem to locate it. Any ideas? Is it one of my AA's ?

2. I use MA for my Druid and Ranger so I am used to tank chase mode. Where I can run around and attack a mob and all the other toons chase me and assist. So, I thought Sic Tank mode 7 would emulate that. It sorta does but not completely. It will not self target/attack mezzed mobs after finishing off the one he is fighting. When I pull using a bow I have to manually hit my "Melee" button to engage. Those are the 2 behaviors that I see that are different. What WAR mode comes closest to emulating Chase mode from KA or MA? BTW I drive my group with my WAR.

I looked up Stonewall and sure enough it has a 70% snare. And yes I have it memmed in my Combat abilities. Now how can I disable it. I hate being snared lol. I looked in the MQ2WAR commands but didn't see anything about it.

No. Mode 2 is chase assist, it is not a tank mode - watch the vid i mentioned

re: stonewall - if you are in a puller mode we will automatically click it off of you - if you're not, you'll want to click it off yourself - there is not an option to use your "Bread and butter" defensive. Eventually eq takes away the snare portion, but there will not be an option to not use it.

Unless I'm missing something very obvious, Glyph update doesn't seem to be working entirely.

Toggle on "Burn Always" with "UseGlyph", Resolute Stand starts as usual and runs its course, the plugin then continues through everything else without firing glyph at all

So it's not overlapping with Stand anymore (which is good) but it's not firing glyph at all now

Oh, I run in Manual mode almost always... could that be a factor?

not as long as you are assigned as main tank - there is a flow chart in the overview of when you do tanking stuff

Ive been using the plug in for a while, and works quite well.

However i fail to see it using any kind of "Flash of Anger" in timer 11 even in dire situations.

Is that intended or there are specific conditions for it?

howdy alvavoid, thanks for the kind words

yep we do use flash of anger - it i used as an emergency when your health gets too low (with different value for named or not) - you can't be using a 2hander as flash of anger does not work while under 2 hand stance
 
Loving all the plugins, but wondering if there was a way to set the warrior so that he moves so all mobs are in front of him instead of 1 in front and all the rest behind him hitting him in the back?

No there isn't, but you're not stuck, just adjust yourself if you need to.

You'd likely end up backing up all the way across the zone with how mobs get behind you trying to automate that without bumbling into other mobs

Can anyone recommend a way to deal with this issue? I am in Umbral Plains at the Fyrthek camp. I put my WAR (MQ2WAR) on puller tank and disabled pull ability so he uses his bow to pull. The challenge is that he runs out to the mob to tag it with melee and sometimes shoots it on the way to the mob, but it doesn't stop or turn around, he completes going all the way to the mob and then come back to camp. I thought it was a LOS issue so I put him on sic tank mode and put my necro as puller assist. Necro doesn't move from camp but just casts on mobs as far as he can reach and pulls no problem.

It's because there's a delay from when the plugin fires the arrow to the time that the arrow hits the mob.

Get a stuff of flux for pulling. Eq has a "flight time" couple that with your servers lag, and we end up not knowing that we pulled a mob.
 
for warriors, i recommend getting the staff of viral flux --- or even more, use huntertank with everyone else in chase. pulling to a static camp can often time end up being more downtime (differs when you need casters medding, but you get the idea)
 
This maybe 'nothing' but thought I'd post it as a just in case. My MQ2War is expired right at the moment, and I did a Win 11 update, so upon reboot when I launched from profiles, I got the following for my 6 instances:

No war in this group, so none loaded..it crashed my MQ icon, so I could not load group 2, etc.. I rebooted and MQ icon stayed this time, but the error message above still showed up. The two groups I'm running are all CWTN classes, but no War. Just started showing today, even though War plugin has been expired for a short bit. You guys know I love it and will get it again when I can. Since I see no other posts about it, I'm guessing its a me thing.

I got the staff for my 2 warriors; however I am not able to get it to work. I added it as a pull clicky and took off my bow and arrows. I have tried with both, DisablePullAbility ON and OFF. Both cases the WAR either runs to the mob or spams me with You do not have a valid range weapon equipped

you just need to add it as a pull clicky. you don't need to disable pull ability - mq2war doesn't have a pull ability, so that option doesn't do anything in this case

if you have a pull ability we will try and use that thing.

I would check you did it correctly and understand that we will still end up running to a mob if we don't have LoS, but we don't try and use your bow, and we won't try and use your bow if it isn't equipped.
 
I see now what was going on. I had everything set up correctly, and it is working fine unless I am using MQ2Grind. I am guessing that it has it's own pulling code and not using what CWTN has determined as a pulling method. I don't know, I am ust guessing here.
