MQ2War

Plugin - MQ2War (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

if you have everything setup as you have said you have, then there really isn't anything to "start over" with. I'm really at a loss.

I have a few minutes available now - if you wanted me to remote in and see if i can figure it out - shoot me a PM
Have this exact same issue, was any resolution found? Working on all the other MQ2 Class plugins on the same comp, just not on War atm.

yes,

double check your macroquest2.ini that you don't have an entry for mq2nav=1 and /mq2nav=1
if you have the /mq2nav=1 delete that, and restart/launch everyone.

we don't know *what* is issuing a /plugin /mq2nav load - but something (unrelated to the cwtn stuff) is and it is causing all sorts of fuckery.

Thanks Sic, solved the issue!

I don't have arrows. What else can I pull with? The plugin doesn't pull with melee in the water, because it doesn't understand Z-axis to mobs I guess. I'm 25-35 away from my target and swimming there not doing anything.
I'm using the clicky rabbit every few minutes via the /war addclicky pullitem command, but it seems AAs (like throat jab and bazu roar work great) can't be configured to pull mobs.

Any other ideas?

I have my pull item set to the disease resistance pull stick thingy cant think of the name of it lol, but it is and instant cast 0 damage item that has a decent range on it.

So lemme go spent the next several days obtaining an item I can pull with. Either that or the arrow summoner, and a bow.
Why can't AAs be configured?

because there aren't really any viable abilities for warriors to pull with for several and various reasons.

arrows are pretty cheap - go buy some

or can get summon arrow quiver

Is there a way to get my warrior to stop shooting arrows at things when in hunter mode? Im just harvesting trash, i don't need quite that big of a commitment of time

If there are 5 Wars in a raid..all using MQ2War - how would they behave?

Would they all fight over agro and blow their discs? Or would they say "Ohh Tank X is currently tanking..I will wait here and just assist until he dies horribly and then I will try to get agro" and then blow their discs once they were tanking.

Or should I set Tank 1 in Tank mode, and set Tanks 2,3,4,5 to Assist mode and have some hotkey to switch mode mid fight when required?

It's this. The plug-in does not know that it should yield to another warrior unless you configure it that way. The plug-in keys off mode or group role.

100% on what @Many_Whelps said

Here is a handy chart

If you are Main Tank of group, but in assist mode, you will still taunt an do other defensive stuff? That chart makes it seem you would. Tagged as tank in group overrides every setting according to that chart, right?

and, circling back to a question i had earlier. There is no way to stop my warrior from using the disc Furious on cool down, correct? This would be an extremely nice change if we can NOT do this on cooldown, or have my warrior not use any disc's at all, except when I say so. For example, if there is 1 trash mob before a big named, then my warrior will burn said Fortitude, losing 10 sec invulv for the big boss, which I would like to useFurious on to build aggro, get slowed, etc. or, tank swap, 10 sec invuln is fantastic to have. But, my other warrior burned it already, and he is not even tanking.

yes, as indicated by the chart - if you are in a tank role or assigned as group main tank. yes, that is correct - you will do tanking stuff if you have placed the character in a position that he is designated to tank - assinged as group main tank or in a tanking mode.

if you are tanking and engaged in combat you're going to be using your discs.

I had a note to see how it played out for lower lvl with using FDisc because it is a long recast - its intended to be a fall back if you don't have anything else available, but I'm going to change this to be used while in burn conditions (which would be named or xtarget burn count etc) for lower lvl usage

Perfect Sic! That is great! using the disc with conditions like you just said (AE count) is perfect!.
well specifically it would be burncount or your target is named.

fortunately, i figured out how to make this not change behavior for modern game where we use it as a "fall back" last hope kind of thing.

I have a feeling that this is a question for a different plugin, I just don't know which one.

Is there a guide I can read, or a video that would help me understand how to modify the path when set to "puller"? I am sure I am not the only on encountering these annoyances, but I find that I am continuously getting stuck on the dragon nests, which have these branch like structures that stick out all around and snag on my toon, causing me to get stuck.

How do I alter the path in order to avoid these?

you are correct - it is a mesh issue

> HERE < is a post where i spoke about editing your mesh to "avoid" areas

@cannonballdex posted his WW mesh > HERE < i believe he edited out those nests you're talking about

Is there a max size to the ignore list? I'm trying to use my warrior to kill random stuff in the buried sea for trade skills in hunter tank mode, and it refused to ignore anymore things. This zone has a ton of different npcs. Ignore list is huge and it doesn't care, it attacks them anyhow.

Edit: I now crash to desktop when i hit /war ignore

Im sure Cystallos isnt exactly your target zone, but with the settings below, my warrior just sat down and wouldnt do anything in hunter tank. normally he'll run around and murder everything.

yes, there sure is - it is a large size. I don't think the intent of ignore is to ignore that many mobs.

If someone has 99 problems , don’t create the filter for them, target the 1 bish.

Use a different tool. MQ2FarmTest or Pocketfarm mac are great alternatives

Yeah, i had issues getting them to work. I havent been back yet. /war ignore generally works well, except in zones with huge amounts of spawn

I am fairly new to Redguides, and I am getting familiar with all of the options, so I apologize for my learning curve.

I understand that the plugins are designed for boxing, and they are amazing to have for that purpose. I do box, and I love these products.

I also raid as a Warrior. So my general question for everyone using MQ2War is, when raiding, where you need to be versatile and play MT, off-tank, dps, pickup loose adds, etc... on a whim.... and most importantly may not be assigned as a MT or MA (because I'm usually in an all tank group with healers)...... are you running MQ2War? Are you unplugging it completely and going all-natural? Or, are you using something like /melee?

I'm just curious what others are doing in a raiding scenario.

I talk with several folks who use mq2war in raids. you can quickly go from threat/tanking to assist by switching your mode and group role

@Hylander you use a war for raidy type stuff right?

Correct, when I am not tanking in raid I go /war mode 0 and make sure I am not assigned the Main Tank Role (you can still be the MA or not - that doesn't matter for threat role). You can easily toggle the the group role on and off.
INI:
/grouproles set "tank's name here" 1 - Turns on MT Role

/grouproles unset "tank's name here" 1 - Turns off MT Role

If you're going to off tank a high powered add and you can't assign yourself the tank role b/c the MT is in your group, Then I would suggest a simple spam key for Aggravate and Shield Splinter at a minimum. If you are not the group leader then you'll have to as the group leader to make that hot key. One other thing to keep in mind is if you're in a tank group then whoever is the MA will get special heal and buff treatment from shaman and clerics running plugins in the group. One more thing...If you have room, make a window that only shows taunt messages so see if you or someone else is taunting when they shouldn't be.

So I was using /war missing to check which tomes i needed still and it is showing I need Dissident Shield multiple times. I do have the ability already. Using VVtest and it was just updated.

I just explained this to you in discord.

we do a tier'd progressive spell check against all 3 of the progressive spells to see which rank you have and which is better than others. you will spit out if you're missing
