well.
the aoe threat logic is going to use aoe threat stuff even with aoe turned off, since they don't break mez - however, it does check that there are no "extra" mobs in range. it still uses your aoecount to determine when to fire this and this is designed this way intentionally.
 
I mean if you want to manage all the AoE aggro abilities you can just set the AoE count to 14 or greater. Then it can't fire because there's only 13 XTarget slots, so it'll never get to 14

Warlord's grasp is used based on AoEcount.

AoE taunt != AoE damaging abilities, which is the purpose of UseAoE. UseAoE means hit things with aoe abilities that can break mez.

Didn't realize we were explaining the purpose or use of AoE. Thought it was about when or when not to use them.

I explained why swapping targets doesn't happen in the "Shoot down" post you're referencing (Which I saw explaining instead of shooting down). If you want to swap targets....click on the target you want to get aggro with.

That's all fine and well if your playing your Tank. If I were playing my tank I wouldn't need to use a plugin or macro.

Writing me a book doesn't change the limitations of what the plugin knows.

The warrior isn't mezzing anything and has no way to know that something is resisting the mez, or that 5 zones away there is an enchanter in trouble and needs rescuing.

Not even sure were we are going with this one ...... clearly by now I realize that I should have not posted anything!

The plugin does the best it can with what is available to try and control what of the situation it can control. Short of me swinging by your house and sitting at the keyboard for you I cannot improve on that any.

Obviously this got personal with you ........... once again not my intent and sorry for posting!!

yup. when i put it in there i decided i didn't want to be whippin mobs around if there were other mobs that were near us but not on xtarget - so it checks against the aoe count
 
Clearly you somehow think this is personal. But I assure you it's not. Your condescending attitude referencing in these things doesn't change any of the limitations. So I can sit here and copy and paste my responses over and over to the same questions I suppose. If and when the information is available to the tank I'll make adjustments to allow the warrior to accommodate for those situations. Until then I'm only able to respond with what I can and cannot do. If this were something I could remedy I would. It's not a lack of desire to make things better I assure you. So while you might think I'm sat at my keyboard all day with "no" pre-programmed responses to everything someone asks me to address, it's not the case.

If the plugin doesn't suit your needs I apologize. If it's bad enough that you want a refund let me know. You've had it for roughly a month and I feel like you might be experiencing some buyers remorse for this particular plugin because the responses are "I cannot do anything about it." instead of "I can fix that right up for you."

Were it simple I'd have addressed it already. But it's not that easy I'm afraid.
 
Awesome plugin. Couple questions.

How can I make sure that all adds in camp aggro me? It seems when multiples come into camp I have to manually target them (using mode 4 and 7).

Is there any way to chill on the endurance usage? If I have good aggro and 30% endurance just needa calm down.

Sadly as a warrior, we got limited non damaging aoe aggro abilities on long refresh timer. Nest thing you can do is slot a rune proving aug. it’ll be just enough to keep adds on your until cc lock me down.

You don’t want thewarto automate target swapping because that’s a guarantee Mez break. I guess a toggle that would allow for automate target swapping Would be nice if you don’t care about men break.
 
Is there anyway to turn off Aggro and have just assist , I am trying to level up War and and it wants to taunt/aggro everything and is just dieing every other mob. Thanks in advance ..
 
for some reason when using the war now it is getting huuuuuuge amounts of lag no other toon lags at all but with last patch on this It is almost un usable
 
I have it on assist mode , bold attacks off , hate mask off , and it still taunts and use blast of anger and other stuff while Paladin is listed at MT,MA and puller .

the mq2war huntertank mode wasn't working by me last night (first time I've tried this new feature). Is their some different settings i need to establish out side of the normal pull tanks stuff?
 
Warrior still ignoring his campradius in Tank mode. While not an issue in some camps, It is a huge concern in others. Are we going to just have to manually play the warrior in those situations? I know I have brought this up earlier and got shot down for it. I am not sure how I am supposed to approach this subject without ridicule. Bottom line is I need to know my Tank is going to behave the way I have the perimeters set up for. If there is something going on outside of campradius ( And I mean way outside ). Then I will handle whatever is causing this anomaly from one of the other programs ( KA ) that is causing this in the first place. ( Like bard casting dots on NPC's that he/she is supposed to be mezzing ). Or pet classes sending swarm pets out when they shouldn't. Again KA issue. But if I have no control over my tank, that just adds to the other problems.

Another problem with Mq2war is the Taunt logic. You can't wakamole your taunt buttons! If you already have aggro war still pushes every button needlessly that he has for taunt? As I am fully aware of limitations in automation - combined with the daunting task of trying to take into consideration every scenario that one may encounter. And actually understanding and having played the class to know how best to approach different scenarios. This taunt thing leaves me no room for correcting issues that may arise which require a manual takeover to correct. Warlords's Grasp should never be used as a taunt button to smash just for taunt. I need warlords grasp to bring NPC's into position as needed only. Unyielding Attention is an 18s taunt that when it is over doesn't keep you on top of the hate list. Shouldn't be used just cuz you can. And Area taunt should be fully controllable. It still fires off when i have AOE turned off ( UseAOE=false )? I know that Taunt logic in the game isn't fully understood by most people. I play war as my Raid main ( Top 10 server ). Point is to try to get higher on mobs hate list. Taunt button only puts you 1 point ahead of who ever is on top of that list. Smashing it doesn't improve anything it actually hurts. In group content warriors don't need to do much to get on top of hate list and stay there. ( designed that way ). So if there is any way to curb this excessive taunt logic it would help tremendously.

And I read ( posted by another user ) about issues with warrior letting other members in the group to get beat on while warrior is staying on his first target. He got shot down also ( not sure why ). This is also a big problem. If CC cant get CC because they are getting beat on or NPC is resisting mezz the first try ( or whatever the reason ) It is the Tanks job to grab aggro!! If healer is getting beat on because of CC toon getting beat on cant get a mezz off, or whatever the reason, then it is the Tanks job to establish control of situation! Tank needs to switch target sometimes to get control ...... not start wakamole taunt buttons. If all your taunt options have already been used when not needed then there isn't anything left to push when you need to reestablish your self on top of the hate list for all mobs in camp ( or just one pesky mob in the crowd that refuses to cooperate )! Once again switch target is always the fastest and most reliable way in some situations to gain control back.

I could go into further details of Taunt mechanics for a warrior if needed, but I guess you see the problem here. Sometimes targeting the offending mob and casting one of the warriors appropriate taunt abilities is all that is needed to re establish control of the situation ( which is aggro on all mobs ). Sometimes all you have to do is go hit the NPC on the head a few times and taunt once. I fully understand the repercussions of switching target mid fight! But still, it is the only way to get control back in a lot of situations!


I have always had trouble with certain personality types in trying to ask for things without coming across to strong in their minds. This isn't a jab. This is just me asking for help. I don't know any other way ................. sorry.

You can set your Aoe Taunting at a threashold of mob count to assist in this. Ie 50 and then have a on the demand use of your aoe's as needed. both offensive and defensives. should weed out your command of mashing issue and have the command you're requesting for to begin with on that issue.
 
Quick question please, is there a way to stop the warrior from sitting in between pulls. He gets stuck sometimes sitting and will not stand up to pull. Thank you!
 
Seems like the group watch is ignoring dead team members. My war kept pulling even when my healer was dead.

Also sometime the hp report seen on other team member seems to bug out. Like my monk is at full hp but my war is outputting the monk is at 0% and won't reset until I start combat.
 
after zoning, or when a character first zones in, there is a chance for EQ to bug out reporting they are at 0 health, endurance, or mana. That is an EQ bug, not a plugin bug. There is nothing I can do about EQ reporting incorrect health/mana/endurance values.

I will look at adding that all group members must be present in the zone in order for pulling to resume.

No. Not currently.
MQ2WAR-They are the puller and he sits and when a mob appears a arrow to the mob appears but he doesn't stand up. He sits there. Any suggestions please, i appreciate it.

How do you get the warrior options window back up? clicked it off by accident now I cannot figure out how to get it to pop up again.

I've been watching my warriors pretty closely and went through their logs for last few days. I am just not seeing these abilities being used anywhere. Aside from needing to switch between concordant expanse and precicions for st vs group, don't see why this can't be use as a buff since the ability last longer than the refresh.

Good catch!

There was a pretty heinous bug that was introduced last patch or the patch before, but due to @hytiek poking me about it, @ChatWithThisName and I were able to chase it down - it will be fixed in the next update, it actually caused issues with several of the classes with a few abilities from each so it is particularly poopy.

I'm having an issue with /war addclicky Shrinkgroup. Is there a way to also tag it for downtime, it's shrinking my zerker mid fight when he uses juggernaut surge. Thanks.
