- The RG Launcher is unable to *delete* old files.
-- This means you will get an error box if you don't have a current plugin that matches the mq build
-- your options are:
--- a: purchase a license
--- b: delete the old .dll in your plugin folder, and/or
--- c: change your macroquest.ini to MQ2PluginName=0 under [Plugins]

Always use the launcher.

I just bought it today so the license should be ok
I deleted the shaman.dll in plugin folder
couldn't find the macroquest.ini or MQ2pluginName.....
retried to launch but got the same message....where is the macroquest.ini located...

You shouldnt have to install anything manually... the redguides launcher should take care of that for you. Make sure you check the plugins tab and "install". ALways use the launcher, it keeps the versions of MQ2 and plugins up to date and in sync. Also do not run the launcher as a windows admin, just a normal user.

Thanks all for the help happy to report I got it to work.....I had trouble getting launcher updated, once that resolved I deleted the shaman I manually copied and unzipped into pluggins folder, updated launcher again and wallah bango presto I have shaman CWTN running, or maybe it's called mq2 shaman either way ï it's loaded and ready for play time right after i mow the yard(:

when you load the plugin it tells you what spells are in what spell groupings - one of the "how to ask for help" things mentioned to let us know what spell and spell group you expect and whatnot.

imagine my LOL when I go to find "wind of malis" in MaloAE, and i don't find anything for MaloAE :p

101+ is where they really end up having the toolkit to solo heal, the 80s/90s is a struggle

Probably not quite yet. It might be, depending on DPS and with the relative safety of an ENCH on CC duty, but SHM really come into their own as primary group healers at about level 100-105.

there are 8 "modes" for all of the cwtn plugins, so try not to get confused with that nomenclature - it sounds like you're asking about loadout - this (by and large) doesn't change *priority* or even *behavior* but it does change what spells are in your loadout.

adjust your heal thresholds, and roll in dps loadout

turn on usemelee. otherwise you need a camp set.

Hello there seems to be an issue w the shaman in byos custom. Currently if in my byos custom spell load out malosinia is memed w usemalo on it refuses to cast it but if I just change the spell out for the current eras unresistable version called malos he casts it perfectly. Is there a way to get him to use malosinia if memed instead ? I don’t like the recast time and longer actual cast time of malos. Thanks

did you review the byos/byos-custom information? we don't cast spells the plugin doesn't say we cast.

What does the plugin say for your group "Malo" (not wind one, just the regular) that is the spell we will use for Malo purposes.

malosinia is the spell before malos, so no, we're not going to cast it even if you slap it in the gem slot

yeah it looks like malo/malos specifically has its own special cast/recsat and resistability that differs from the rest.

let me have a think about the best way to solve it - because there would definitely be cases where you'd want 1 vs the other

Yea also malosinia is a larger debuff as well I don’t exact values but if malos Debuffs by 40 malosinia will be like-60

i already did add in malo ae (the label just says malo, but it is the wind versions)

Well, look at the output log to determine what it is he is doing / casting and then we can try to go from there. It may end up just being that the group HoT ticking is pulling aggro, maybe make sure spell casting subtlety is running?

I'm not sure if MQ2Shaman automatically pops defensives when it detects your taking hits, maybe have a hotkey to pop off one of those ready to go.

well, the only thing we care about for purposes of puller assigned is tanking and engaging the mob in the campoverlapbuffer radius.

we're going to heal the puller.

I'd recommend using huntertank and everyone in chase vs coming back to a static camp if your puller is getting hit and causing rippling issues due to needing heals

I think it only uses the AA by default and then there is a toggle on whether to use spell canni, could be mistaken but IIRC the default is 40% and spell canni toggled off

Yes default is 60, adjustable for AA and spell.

you can delete your ini file and then load the plugin. it would generate the defaults.

Both shamans have Rank 5 ellipse and the Composite line is Rank 1 or 2, but not higher. Both Shamans are lvl 125 and they having there own accounts and with the lastes expansion. Everything I try to mem Ellipse that shaman then right away mems Composite again. Can someone give me a pointer or tell me why might this be happening. Thank you all.

Yes. So I have ToL raid BP on both Shamans. The Shamans that uses Eclipse has the ore BP. The shaman using Composite is wearing the wanning raid BP.
