A little more info. This is happening when using grind and normal groups elsewhere so the toons are in chase mode. When the pally dies, the group continues to kill until all mobs are dead. Once they are all dead grind pauses. The shaman is waiting to be completely out of combat. Once that happens he begins to cycle the target untarget issue. The shaman plugin is in CHASE mode, and is set to HEAL.

If I use my tank (SK) to manually target the corpse, the targeting / untargeting stops, and the shaman stays focused on the corpse, but will NOT cast the rez unless I manually do it.

During the time that the untargeting of the corpse is happening there are not any messages showing in the plugin output, which leads me to believe its MQ related, but im not very well versed in these ins and outs of MQ yet.

All toons have the mimic button, however none of them appear to be using it when this is happening.

The paladin has died 3 times this evening so far. 2 of them have had the targeting / untargeting issue. The other time, the shaman rezed him correctly.

It appears to be spamming

We have Found a corpse XXXXXXX corpse0

I just added the XXXs to replace his name.

The first message number changed to 3455 but still spamming the debug messages and not Rezing Targeting and Un-targeting the corpse

I went ahead and targeted the corpse with my tank, and the shaman no longer does the target / un target thing, but he keep spamming the above message with 3455 and not rezing.

and please send me more - please let me see it say the numbers and not you just typing it out. - I need to see as much of the output as possible. (like a screen's worth)

also - are you getting any eq messages? it appears you may (some how) not have consent to drag the corpse and it is more than 10 distance from you. is that what is happening? if so, you should correct your eqclient

Anyone else run into the problem where the Shaman won't buff the group with Stamina/Agi? My 82 shaman won't use talisman of foresight and vehemance on my group for whatever reason. Any thoughts?
 
While in DPS mode, is there anyway to change the cast order? my shammy nukes, malos and then slows. By the time the slow lands the mob is more than half dead. I would like to Malo, slow then nuke. Thanks!

dps is not a mode. it is a loadout.

we check malo and slow before anything else.

no there isn't a way to change order around.

we only cast it on people 79 and lower
 
Having an issue where my shaman spams Ghost of Renewal (70 group hot) every 18 seconds in combat. I don't see any option for group hots. It's not really too much of a problem, just popping on BYOS alleviates it, but yeah. Not sure if he was doing it prior to 70, but I don't believe he was.


Edit: Didn't think about blocking it until just now, but that works as well.

if you're in heal or hybrid loadout you'll keep up group hot if you're in combat, so we check your MA and yourself to see if either one of you are missing the buff, and then cast it. it should last longer than 18 seconds, unless you have something else overwriting it?

That makes sense. Yeah, my cleric was overwriting it with single hot.
 
I noticed the Shaman (120) doesn't meditate at all, is that possible to turn on or is there a reason why it doesn't?

Currently on FTP and my gear is atrocious, it's not casting the Canni AA because it would put the shaman into too low health. So he ends up getting low mana and not even meditating during downtime.

I did turn back on use canni spell in the meantime to mitigate this, and ya going to spend like 10 minutes in the bazaar getting some better non prestige stuff, but I thought it was worth asking.

Edit: upon further inspection, it appears not to happen in chase, but will med in assist mode. Well that solves that I guess.

It means you're not in assist mode. Meaning you don't sit between pulls.

Make sure to check the sticky.

Given the following party composition all running CWTN plugins except the bard who is using kissassist
85 SK
85 Shm
85 Brd
85 Ber
85 Dru
66 Bst
I have an odd bug around AA Pact of the Wolf spam. I saw that you said that you disabled it for characters over 5 levels lower than the shaman but my shaman starts chain casting it only when the beastlord is in group. If I have the bst leave the group the shaman stops spamming immediately. There is no red text in chat windows, it just shows "Your pet's Group Pact of the Wolf III spell has worn off" immediately and then the shaman recasts, it takes hold on and then the icon disappears from aura window (but not song) and then shaman will cast again. There are no other auras in the aura window. Repeat this forever.

In combat or when other buffs expire the shaman does stop spamming and cast other things but it continues to do pact of the wolf spam in any downtime or spell GCDs.

Things I have tried:
Blocking the Form and Buff spell on the bst.
Blocking the Form and Buff spell on the pet (since the spell window kept showing it wearing off the pet only)
Unsummon the pet (harder to check since the shaman tried to resummon the pet right away, but it did try to cast pact of the wolf while the summon gem was on CD after memming, so did not fix)
Clicking all buffs from all sources off the beastlord so it was completely unbuffed to rule out buff stacking issues (even though there was no red blocked messages)
Removing the beastlord from the group (this stops the spam but is not an ideal solution)
Replacing with another box (an 85 mage also running cwtn plugin) - this also doesn't spam, seems to be an issue with the beastlord specifically
I patched yesterday and today so should have the latest version (says Latest Version: 2023-10-27-20:20:26)

I am confused why this would happen since it shouldn't be trying at all since the bst is 19 levels lower. The message in spell window is just the effect wearing off on pet but getting rid of the pet or blocking on it did not fix. I am out of ideas of things to try so posting here for help.

PS - Thanks so much for making these, they helped me get quick started using VV when it was kind of overwhelming at first. After watching them work I've learned more about the different classes I made for boxes. I will probably eventually have all your plugins since they are so convenient!

Prolly typo but you said blocked it on the brd and not bst
 
Yeah that was a typo, I edited. Blocked on the bst. I just closed everything and deleted the blocked spells from the ini directly and will try to reblock since someone earlier in the thread said that worked for them.
 
Just to hold over, might try blocking each level of the buff. /blockspell add me 27489, 27490, 27491, 30884, 30885, 30886, 41341, 41342, 41343, 48858, 51376, 51377, 51378, 52087, 53780

It won't let you put more than 1 on there but try putting 1 each.. My guess it is looking for a level that doesn't match. Probably whichever the shaman level expects to land but the spell casts at target level.

likely what is happening is the spell just can't land on that toon (cause so low level) so nothing is landing at all - blocking the spell would stop it, but i'll re-implement the +5/-5 range
 
Just as an update, I was grinding some AAs (the bst is leeching hoping to be a productive member one day) and it stopped happening at lvl 70 when the bst actually could receive the buff.

So, I never paid much attention, however I just accidentally started running with my shaman on hybrid, instead of healer (as the only healer in the group) and while i'm just running grind, I have noticed very little difference in his performance, he still heals great! How much difference is there between Hybrid and Healer?

it is just the loadout (and how it handles group hot)

nothing else is changed.
 
When I turn UseGrowth on, it won't mem the growth spells. Also, when I turn off useDoT and useNuke, the nuke and dot spells stay memmed. I have been using BYOS and scribing my growth spell instead of my nuke and it will cast it when my tank needs it, but with this I have to uncheck BYOS to reautomate scribing other spells so that my shaman will autobuff and stuff.... Anyone know a fix?

for usedot and usenuke it is intended not to unmemorize those spells.

you didn't mention what level you are or what gem your growth was in, so i don't know how to help you.

you also seem to be skipping the byos-custom functionality, which does buffing. I would suggest checking out the sticky.

We only memorize growth in gem 6 if you have UseGrowth turned on (in heal/hybrid loadout), otherwise we try and memorize your second giftDD, or then halyconHoT --- so if you don't have any of those (starts at 44 for halcyonhot where growth starts at 81 --- we're not memorizing it

My shaman is level 120 with Fervent Growth rk.III. Been putting the growth in gem 3, where the nuke was. I'll check out the link you posted in a bit. Thanks

gem 3 we byos-custom -> cannibalize (if usecannispell) -> direDD -> breathdot --- we don't memorize growth here.

Take an easy screen snip:
  1. Shift+Windows Key+S
  2. Select the area you wish to copy
  3. Control+V to paste it into a forum message

My bad, I think I miscommunicated. I may not understand BYOS properly, going to look at your link once I got a little time to watch the videos. I put Fervent Growth in gem 3 when I select BYOS so that my shaman will autocast it on tank.

please check the sticky and check out the "how to ask for help"

I provided the circumstances that we memorize growth automatically - are you not meeting those conditions? BYOS doesn't auto-memorize anything, but meeting the other things i laid out you would.

We only memorize growth in gem 6 if you have UseGrowth turned on (in heal/hybrid loadout), otherwise we try and memorize your second giftDD, or then halyconHoT --- so if you don't have any of those (starts at 44 for halcyonhot where growth starts at 81 --- we're not memorizing it

it doesn't look like we care about UseGrowth as a option if you manually memorized usegrowth (we probably should - but that begs the question why you manually memorized it if you didn't want to use it in the first place) ((i'm going to change that so we do honor usegrowth under these circumstances)

Is there any way to get the shaman to cast the reactive-slow buff on pets? I use a mage pet to tank for my small group and this would be helpful to be able to automate. I self cast it right now no problem, but the idea is set it and forget it sometimes right?

which buff? specifically?

is it a thing the plugin says it uses? if so what spell group it is in?

when VV builds again you'll be able to use mq2buffme to buff a pet with a specific spell by name
 
Sorry I should have used the name of the spell specifically - The spell I am referencing at my level is Sluggishness. It does use it automatically on tank classes and loads into the default hybrid spell lineup that I prefer to use.

no, we cast Ennui on our MA/RaidMA, no way to set it to cast on the pet

but when VV patches you can /buffthem ${Pet.Name} Ennui and it will
