yes, you would add it to blocked buffs of any person you don't want the spell cast upon. you can also byos and not have it memorized (and then handle your own buffing)

Please make sure to post in the correct location, all of the cwtn plugins have a robust discussion thread, this is where you would want to read and post about mq2shaman.


it isn't random. we are disabling it to cast the slow aoe AA if you have it enabled, and since it is enabled, we will re-enable it afterward. this prevents you from dotting mobs that you aoe slow

Q. Languid Bite?
A. If you have Languid Bite toggled on - we will momentarily toggle it off if we try and use Turgur's Virulent Swarm, and then toggle it back. Make sure that you understand that "using Languite Bite: Disabled" is enabling it and vice-versa. Many folks get confused at this spot.

Please make sure to take some time and familiarize yourself with the various FAQ and Commands and such as that will often have answers to questions like this, and even address stuff that you didn't realize or wondered.

MQ2Shaman keeps crashing on the test server. I have tried several different shaman's on several different accounts. Sometimes it crashes when first enabled, sometimes it take up to 10 seconds.

Yes, unfortunately the mq test build has a lot of issues atm. The MQ devs said it is likely another day or so before it is fixed.
Not specifically an mq2shaman issue
 
Anyway to get the shaman to caster annul magic? UP has bunch of mobs with DS and it's murder on the melee.

Nope. If there was I'd have mentioned it :)

Byos only casts things the plugins mentioned when loading up, with very few exceptions (mq2shaman having none off the top of my head)

We'll have more expanded byos functionality in the future which may include some one offs like this, but no, it currently does not.
 
Apologies, first off if this isn't the right spot to report issues. I'm having issues with mq2shamen plugin recasting buffs over and over and over. It is casting Talisman of Usurper, and then overwriting it with Unity of Vampyre, and then swift like wind, repeat over and over and over. I'm sure it is something stupid that I've done, but I can't figure it out. It seems to have started yesterday evening.

yes, there was a test issue causing that.

that is now fixed for live and for test.
 
Okay, I definitely play on the test server and I'm still seeing the issue. Do I just need to manually download the MQ2Shaman.dll and drop it in my MQ2Next plugin directory to resolve?

Anyone haven't problems with MQ2shaman not casting Sense or fort on their group?
My set up is Group one warrior pally cleric wizzy enchanter bard
Group 2 is Bard monk ranger zerker shaman cleric
Warrior is marked as MA in raid
CWTNbuffs are loaded on all toons
Shaman is in Raid mode
Xtar healing and buffing are on
He will cast all buffs on the warrior group and only cast Might Focus SoW on his group
I have tried putting the bard monk ranger zerker on xtar to see if he would buff then but he doesn't
Also tried clicking the buffs off the shaman to see if he would rebuff them but he doesn't rebuff himself either.

Not that big of a deal just have to tab to him and cast them but i'm sure he was buffing both groups before.

Any help with this would be great!

buffing requires local toons (same install directory, same pc etc) all running mq2cwtnbuffs

we would only not cast on our own group if they had it, had it blocked, or it didn't stack

Put a toon on ET and see if they buff.

Is pact of the wolf casting when you click it off?

They are all on the same computer they are all connected to EQBC he is casting some buffs on his group but not foresight or sense

He is not buffing if i put someone from the group on Xtarget and click off buffs.
He only level 70 i'm on a TLP so he doesn't have pact of the wolfs but he does cast billy on the group just not foresight or sense

I am thinking it might have something to do with there not being a tank in the group it's a all DPS group so he just casting Might on them for the dmg Bonus %
I tried setting my bard as the group tank last night and he still didn't buff with Sense or Foresight

We don't cast everything on everyone. Wizzies aren't going to get low lvl dex, for example

Eqbc or Dannet means zero in this context, we don't use them for buffing at this time at all.

I get that they don't cast all buffs on wizzies and stuff. But fort adds 40 to sta cap giving more hps and sense adds 7% evasion.
Might adds 5% dmg to all melee types and he cast that just fine

I just don't get why he cast on the one group but not his own group.
 
I have also been having troubles with the Shmy plugin buffing outside of the group with xtargets on and setup (toons are added in xtargets window as well as plugin has this set as on). My Cleric and Enchanter plugins seem to be running this for toons out of group wonderfully, just not the Shmy. Any suggestions?

Phenomenal plugins btw!! These have completely changed my EQ life for the extreme better. I am actually learning how to play the classes better by observing the plugin actions. And thank you for all of the fantastic step by step vids and forums. I am honestly in awe of the Herculean efforts that have gone into making, maintenance and continual support of these products. Best money I have ever spent! Thank you!

Be specific, I can't read your mind.

I talk to A LOT of people about the plugins, and outside of you two, haven't heard any issues, nor experienced it. Doesn't mean it isn't a problem, just means I need more information, but I'm not going to beat it out of you.

Specifically what spell(s)
Specifically what settings
Specifically what classes
Specifically what is working

I don't need explained what the buffs do. I need to hear what behavior is expected and what behavior is experienced and under what circumstances

Raid checks literally everyone, it doesn't skip anyone. and trying to replicate ensuring i buff my group members while in raidmode in a raid works as expected
 
Sic I was going to ask you if there an chance we can get Raid mode to hit MGB before it casts Aid?

I have workarounds but I forget sometimes.

No, no plans on that at all.

Turn off usage of it, and hit your hotkey for it for manual usage. That is why the toggle exists

Talisman of Sense level 68​

Talisman of Fortitude level 69​

group set up shaman (him) monk ranger zerker bard cleric
He won't cast it on his group he won't cast it if you click the buffs off him he won't cast it if they are manually casted and they ware off he won't cast it if any of his group is in the Xtarget window

He will buff my second group in raid with both buffs Warrior pally cleric bard enchanter wizzy he will rebuff if i click them off or if they ware off

he will cast SoW focus haste regen champion panther line on his group and the second group. I had to turn off Xtarget buffing because he keeps trying to cast Panther on my warrior and bard that are not in his group.

Raid mode is on
Use focus on is
Xtar healing is on
Xtar buffing was on i turned it off cause of Panther
Slow is on
Malo is on
he is normally set to Hybrid or healing mode
My warrior is set as MA in raid his assist is marked as my warrior in MQ2shaman

I'm not logged in right now but if you want a SS of his MQ2shaman i can post one once I get logged in.

tried buffing in PoK while i'm in an exp spot with no mobs in camp when people die and are rezed with no mobs and not in combat and he does rebuffing Group 1 without him buffs fine group 2 with him in it does not get these spells.

what level is your shaman
what are the levels of the characters in question not getting those buffs? - do you have a large disparity? as in, are they 80+?

nah no screenie needed, i'll ask if i need something else

spell loadout means nothing for casting buffs or not - it is just the spells that are on your spell bar


re: panther - again when i say "please be specific" i mean "please be specific and tell me SPECIFICALLY what spell. Shamans have Talisman of the Panther at 71, and Spirit of the Panther at 69, spirit of the panther would fail here and spam as the targettype is "Single In Group" where Talisman of the Panther is not. just saying Panther isn't great because now i have to go hunting around when i could be specifically looking at and addressing your issue. I *suspect* it is the 69 one. This will need some messing with, but thank you for bringing it to my attention

Keep in mind, i have no idea what server you're on - so I'm guessing you're lvl capped at 70, but that doesn't mean you are, ya gotta help me out here plz and ty =) because again, i'm asking about levels in the above question because we stop buffing those "lower level" things on players after 79, but if you're on rizlona, for example, at lvl 70, then i wouldn't have to check that, or ask you, or wait for a response, i could be specifically looking at something else

you can always drop warrior in that group, buff, swap war to the regular group, click off buff, boom now both have it - but yeah that's why and that's why i mentioned about the "we don't cast everything on everyone". it is a design choice

Everyone is 70 i'm on Rizlona

Spirit of the Panther level 69​


The message that comes up in the EQ2shaman window is casting Spirit of the panther on (name) the message in EQ is your target must be in your group.
Shaman is in group 2 trying to cast panther on my warrior in Group 1
He will keep trying to cast it over and over and over till i turned off Xtar buffing and he stopped.

That's the one thing i didn't try was swapping out my warrior to that group i did try the paladin and i don't think it worked i will try again tonight and see.

Means it is because the spell line (panther) change target type which doesn't allow non group members to receive it. You'll have to block it on toons that you don't want it on until I sort that out. I don't think you'll be 71 anytime soon

So just another question for you. If the shaman is in raid mode do i need to have Xtarget buffing on for him to buff the group he not in or will he do it because he in raid mode?

And yes we don't get TSS till i think June or July so i'll be 70 for a while.

you don't need xtarget buffing on for raid in raid-mode - that would just mean it would check those extra. raidmode and xtarget buffing does give you flexability if you want shm1 to only buff bill, bob, and beans, but not buff everyone else because shm2 buffs them etc

My Shaman is at level 105. I have UseSlow on but she seem to only using the Turgur's Swarm AA and never cast the Counterbias line. She don't even have the Counterbias line in her spell gem. Is there a way to force her to cast slow?

we dont use counterbias, it is terrible by this point in the game - we stop memorizing it entirely once you have 3 reckless heals

turgurs virulent is your aoe slow slow which we use with useslowaoe turned on
turgur's swarm is your slow, which we use with useslow turned on - this is your slow - wasting a gem on something you have an aa for is a huge waste.

if you want to counterbias you would byos --- it would be using it as a heal and not a slow

Thanks for the clarification. I finally noticed I didn't buy the Turgur Insect spell, that's why I didn't get the slow from the aa...
