you are severely screwing yourself by doing that. but if you want you need a blank kiss ini and usemq2melee=0

it does not split out your abilities to a file - eq has that built in however /outputfile missingspells zzzz-${Me.Name} would create a file named zzzz-ToeJameSamy in your release folder with your spells/ranks that are missing.

MQ2DPSAdv is the plugin for parsing, we don't do any parsing inside the cwtn plugins.

I can't possibly stress to you how much harder you're making your life without having meshes, and using the cwtn assist/chase modes. it also becomes impossible to give you help when you start having curious behavior.

i understand, i just don't want any more than i need. I unload mq2 from my tank as soon as it starts up and only run it for banksorts fishing and tradeskills for example. I need help with the rogues, in combat. I need better reaction time than i currently have for my druid heals, so I have that running KA. My other 2 aren't running it at all, though I might run it when I need cc from my bard. I really want to still be actively playing the game, not watching it play for me, and that may change as things go along but right now i'm much more about easing into it. The fewer plugins etc that are running, the better imo. But, after extended periods of crap dps from the rogues even after level, gear, and weapon upgrades, I decided to go for this one (recent threads made it even less appetizing to try on Test, so i didn't) Also keeping in mind, my very first experience with MQ2...was a bad one...and was caused by extra plugins I didn't want running. Namely Easyfind and Nav, so I don't really want to run either until I'm confident in my own understanding of the coding, not to mention it's kinda annoying to me to have to get a mesh for every zone you go to before you can do anything in it. If mq2rogue will do all the incombat stuff on manual mode so long as i /chase and /assist with KA, that is all i need and want. I don't really want cwtn either but since it's not really doing anything as is, whatever.

I know eventually I'll be wanting to play with a lot more coding myself and break my own current rules, but for now, it is what it is.

Just click the Mesh updater from the Red Guides launcher. It opens and you click update. If you make your own meshes it will overwrite them (if you have them in the default folder of course). You do that once and you're good. You'll have to do it after new expansions and might want to check it every so often in case the meshes get improved.

I can't get the launcher, that's a different issue but I never got any response on it. I just don't need a mesh just to autofollow without running circles, I know this because I did it fine before the patch(/chase 1 seems to have broken the way *I* was using it..which was without setting up or connecting to a server, which I don't want to do either) and /Chase is all I need to do what's needed. im experimenting with stick id and /afollow to see which works better in its absence. Leaving rogue on manual and controlling the attack intition with KA seems to be working fine for me, when I can get stick or afollow to work how chase did, I'm getting 4x the DPS I was before so I'm happy. I know there are tons of features people like to use, and to some they're necessary, but they're not to me, and I'd like to keep a minimalist thing going where I can. Mq2rogue is doing what I need it to at this point, just not everything everyone else thinks it should be lol. Now I just need to get the chase/stick/afollow something working right again. Meshes weren't needed to do this 2 days ago, they're not now either. I'm running half my team 100% manually, not clicking a button and telling them all to go kill while I watch TV on the other monitor. And I'm happy with that because I enjoy playing the game.

its totally fine that you want x but not y and you want to do how you do, but you're also having issues directly related to those choices and then wanting help to resolve them.

using a setup where someone else has made all the choices as to what/where is going to happen requires a little open minded-ness on your part to do the things that are required to facilitate that happening.

since you want fine tuning adjustability/customization you might check into using mq2melee's holy/downs, mq2react, or making a macro that fires or / chases when you want it to.

I'm perfectly happy with mq2rogue now, and I already bought it, I'm not going to stop using it to use mq2melee, but maybe I do need to write a macro that will recreate what /chase was doing for me before the patch- which was basically /stick to me then assist and stick to the mobs til camp was clear then go back to sticking to me. When I have a stationary camp I have no problems once I got KA set up to work with manual mode for mq2rogue, or when I'm just travelling since stick and afollow both work fine. Now it's just for dungeoncrawl type camps. I wasn't complaining or having more issue setting up mq2 rogue once my questions about manual/KA were addressed, just explaining why I don't feel like I'm "screwing myself" not using all the features. I'm good here :-)
 
Toe, you can also launch the mesh updater by clicking it from your MQ folder. MeshUpdater should be the name. Good luck
 
If tank dies and we evac, shouldn't they clear their Target and stop trying to chase a mob on other end of zone? Mine won't drop the target and my tank IS the MA.
 
If you're using CWTN plugins in a group with more than 1 rogue (I'm working on setting up a group with 3 rogues) and the tank dies on a pull, do the rogues start fighting over which one goes to get the corpse? Is there a race between them, or maybe they draw straws? I'm literally picturing all 3 getting to the corpse, and watching the corpse bounce back and forth as they all vie for superiority and the right to bring home the prize lol.
Anyway, just had a funny thought and wanted to share.
 
You can disable it on 2 of the rogues if you like, but I suspect without doing that all three would go for the corpse.
I'm definitely going to leave it on, just for the humor value. I'm thinking of them acting like the seagulls in Finding Nemo "MINE! MINE! MINE!"

rogue3 appears to have found themselves off mesh and are now just standing there "like an idiot"

what is this?! rogue3 recieved a bump back onto the mesh, and has now stolen the corpse

This is currently the place holder for the MQ2Rogue Plugin for me to fill in screenshots of parses, user admiration, commands, comments, abilities in use list, burn methods etc. I will fill this out as I find the time.

Hi, is this plugin down atm?
Just patched VV and now mq2bst/mq2shm/mq2rog/mq2ber all not loading
it is not.

check your plugins tab of your launcher and ensure you downloaded them as it does not look like it did.

no problemo k9 - the launcher *usually* and *should* download automatically - but sometimes depending on things like server load/demand, your internet connection, direction the wind is blowing, and if the launcher feels like it or not (last 2 are a joke) sometimes it doesn't catch them, so everytime i update via the launcher, I'll just peek at the plugin tab to ensure it downloaded the paid resources

yes, this is because you are zoning with chase mode turned on - or are calling a come to me or similar

this is mq2nav clicking the door while nav is active.

you can either turn off that functionality in mq2nav, or you can not be in a chase mode when you zone
 
For TLP servers, is the Rogue DPS better while using Bandolier for backstab or not?

For example, i have Ragebringer (epic), 15/25, which is my biggest dmg piercer for backstab. I also have a Horn of Hsraga, 13/20, which is a superior weapon ratio, and normal toons would put that in their main hand. Is it worth it to put Horn in primary, Rage in secondary, and Bando for the backstab?

If so, how do I go about doing so?

if you're looking to do something to swap around your weapons you would probably want to utilize mq2react

mq2rogue doesn't care if you swap your weapons around - be it by hand, with mq2react, or you call your neighbor from down the road to stop by so you can watch them say "how the heck do you play this old ass game" while trying to figure out how to swap them for you.
 
Corpse dragging. Why does mq2rogue not use /corpsedrag? A number of times in WW i've had the rogue lose the corpse it was dragging (typically when going over the DN or TOV valleys). Also I (think?) you can drag multiple corpses with corpsedrag and that would be handy to use as well (or maybe I am on crack remembering that).

there are a few reasons for it - mainly it would end up getting in a fight with someone trying to /corpse it to rez it.

corpsedrag still has a limit and we're just intentionally going and getting 1 corpse and bringing it back to camp.

if you want to do some fancy stuff you could manually go and get your team and use a mutlidrag macro - cwtn and kaen have a few versions of this - this was, i believe kaens

but mq2rogue is going to go and pick up 1 corpse and then come back using /corpse and we re issue the /corpse if the body gets greater than 10 away from us

Twice when doing a long distance corpse recovery the rogue lost the corpse going over DoN valley/rift and didn't stop when it got the corpse too far to drag message and just kept going until it came back to camp and then went back to try again. Not usually an issue, this just happened to be a long distance recovery because i was too lazy/stupid to do it myself.

well if your corpse drops under the world or in an otherwise ungettable place it will just return to camp.

if we *can* go and get it we do a "Somehow lost track of the corpse. Going back to get it." message and go and get it again
 
I don't think I saw anything like that. It had no problem going back from camp the second time to go get it, so it wasn't under the world or anything. I'll look for more notices. It seems to happen more when going over uneven terrain long distances. The rogue probably had levitation on as well which maybe contributed.
 
levitation and nav can cause all sorts of issues you may not otherwise have. might suggest un-leving

you're going to need to provide a little more information.

why do you think it is the rogue breaking mez? what do you think the rogue is breaking mez with?

if you have useaoe on we will use rake's rampage - if you dont have useaoe we will use focused rake's rampage

Scenario: Puller (me) brings back three, Tank has full control of mob, other two are mezzed.
I see spam that says "Your rogue broke mez".
Rogue may or may not start to take damage.
Chanter mezzes again and just a short time later I see the same spam.
So it's something being used periodically by the rogue.

Watching the rogue carefully I don't see where she switched targets.
I'm watching the spam in the MQ2Rogue window, I'm checking each disc and ability that is being used.
I found one that looks like an AOE but no idea how to stop the Rogue from using it.
It was late, my eyes were shot and I shut down for the night before making a note of the offender.
UseAOE is OFF. I checked that in the beginning and even "/rog UseAOE off" to make sure.
I'll run them for a while now and see if I can find it again.
