Ok LS issue I am noticing. I have my ranger set to 35 range for archery, but several times mostly in water and hilly areas, he is going nuts running to melee, then ranged, then melee, then ranged...not sure if anyone else is having this issue currently.

Yeah I am aware the info wasn't enough. Sorry. Was underwater and hilly areas...working just fine everywhere else. and yes, I just moved the tank and everything was fine.
 
I have to say that I like the overall results of this plugin. DPS is really good and I expect it to get better as I get higher levels. However, it does at a cost in mana. When I have him doing Bow mode, he goes through mana like a ... well like a druid for heavens sake. I mean 2 mobs in a row and he is at half mana. I was thinking about shutting off Dots, but that's a lot of DPS left on the table. I am going to try disabling Dots just to see but I don't really want to. Any other suggestions to save some mana? Or just not use Bow right now?

Noticed my level 70 ranger doesn't use HoA. Is there a way to get him to start casting it? It's on the spell bar and whatnot.

what is HoA? Hail of Arrows?

we use your aoe abilities if useaoe is on, and your number of x targets meets or exceeds your aoecount

it is possible that we're using up the timer on focused arrows

but without you giving enough information i'm just guessing

I play without dots. Even without the plugin running I rarely use dots due to mana restrictions. Rangers have asked for years for some sort of mana preservation, but nobody on the dev team likes rangers, so we get nothing and like it.
 
I'm not sure if im doing something wrong or it is a bug but "Heartbreak" does not seem to be firing on animals or humanoid targets. I have the Class 3 Wood Silver Tip Arrows in my quiver but no luck.

we don't care if it is humanoid or not.
it is possible your other stuff is coming back sooner (which has priority). I can check it out
 
i have just got mq2ranger and mq2rogue and i love them but i would like to know how to dps out of group with them.
i am not the best of reading the wall of text since the stroke so any help would be great thank you.

There isn't built in out of group assisting built in

The link I'm going to give you has a "out of group assisting?" Link on different ways to do it.

Very minor issue (Imperfection?) I've noticed: When my eyes buff is higher than the Unity AA it will run the buff cycle during down time. e.g. bio break and the ranger has looped Unity/Eyes 5 times.

I didn't notice it doing it on my paladin in a similar scenario.

unfortunately, if mq says that you are missing the buff and it stacks (or overwrites) with what you have, we'll cast it.
you can block the lower level version specifically as a work around

Good rangers are always oom. It's just the nature of the class. Just let him do its thing and don't worry about the mana.
 
Maybe toggle for nukes
aka use fire ( 2 of these) / use cold ( 2 of these) / use dew 1 of these / use archery nukes (3 of these inc progression line)
fast kick disc there are aggro and non aggro versions ( maybe swap if set to tank )
fast achery nuke disc , single target and aoe versions ( maybe change as per AOE setting ? )
also self buff proc on kill shot doesnt stack with epic, and you can waste time trying to cast epic does this check ?

Is this a feature request or responding to something else I'm missing?

Generally speaking if you don't like the spell lineup use BYOS or BYOSCustom.
I doubt the 0.8s cast time during GCD is an issue. You'll have to be more specific on what "Self Buff Proc on Killshot" is. Is there a spell name? Google results in no data

it does check. We fixed this back in october

re: usenuke - set your nukemanamin to 100 or byos if you don't want to nuke.

jolting/enraging kicks? we do.

we already use aoe stuff if useaoe is on.

asking us "does this xyz" without seeing that it does or doesn't as expected is frankly, just a waste of our time.

this is the steeled effect - we already handle this.
 
/rng ShowSettings - Will output all the settings and their current values (IE: On/Off/true/false/their number value.
Does not work for me.

Do any of the CWTN Plugins react to Gift of Mana procs? If so, any plans to put that into the ranger add-on?

Vrakenor, easiest way to get around the mana consumption is to make a hotkey or two for Nukemanamin to toggle it up and down. When you're just cruising on mobs set it to 50 or 70 or whatever. When you want to ramp up DPS or go full burn, adjust it to a lower threshold such as 10, 5, or 0. Then its just watching his mana and hitting those two keys as necessary.
 
my dps on the ranger varies but dps hovers at 1.5 mill dps no burn have see over 6 mill dps on final forge from the ranger just regular killing is hard to gauge i have no shaman or bard in this group.... i am guessing the ranger could break 10 mill dps full burn with a dps
 
Not sure if this is posted elsewhere but I believe I found the reason for the ranger running in while in ranged mode (in my case). I had Kick on Auto Activate. Once I turned this off, the ranger no longer ran in on ranged mode. Hope this helps others.
 
I have a question: The ranger has a buff lvl 124 Glitterine coat, no cleric or druid in grp so could this buff be added to the auto buff group when usextargetbuffing does the grp checks? It stacks with the shammy buffs and will only not hold on the necro when running flesh to toxin. Thanks for your time.

Double check that your stick mode is "35 moveback uw" and try setting your chase distance to 35 and see if that helps. My auto-activate has always been on for kick and I don't have this issue. I suspect that if you are tailgating the tank and start the fight close enough to get a sucker punch in, then you're going to take a swipe before moving back because its better than doing nothing.
 
When using BYOS Custom. Is there a way to change the spell gem that gets swapped out for buffing? Its currently picking gem 8, curious if I can change that.

Perhaps the hyperbole wasn't clear enough, or you haven't played with enough bad or lazy players. Sic and CWTN's ranger automation will easily beat the average player who turns on autofire, but has never heard of a multi-bind key, so they only occasionally clicks stuff with their mouse and are always above 95% mana.

If you are looking at SPA modifiers and stacking discs and abilities from the ranger and additional ADPS, of course that will beat the plugin....but that also falls under what I would classify as min/max'ing.
