This is a first. While I can ... I'm very curious why you were unable to get into the instance.
This is a first for me too. It was the Final Fugue mission and my team was just hanging out in "Pause" mode, but with no mission. I believe it had timed out without zoning in. They were all at the door ready to zone. I have run this hundreds of times, and it never happens, but it did this time.

Pause mode would indicate they were ready to zone in. Having no mission does reveal that they did not zone in and the mission expired.

I've added a few things to handle mod rods and other stuff on your cursor to deal with this as best as possible.

I do see the value in adding the safety check but then I'm stuck at the same question: why didn't they zone in?

I know you cannot answer that, I'm not asking you to create a reason, I wish that we knew exactly why they didn't. I'll consider a few additional safety checks.
 
Just a quick question what grind mission seems to be the best for AA grind lvl 122 plus. Currently doing RA. It is working but I am sure I could do better with a different mission.

It would be interesting to see what you see and to understand which server type you are on. For instance are you on Live / Test / TLP?

When you say it's not up to date, what's missing that you believe should be there and isn't?

I'm on live. I think there was an update that added LS missions. I didn't see them listed in the game help or a list in the FAQ.

Hey Redmarine, it appears that the toon which you pulled a list from does not have NoS nor LS expansions. If you bought those while you were logged in, I would recommend camping all the way out then logging back into the game.

Sorry for the confusion, That toon doesn't have NOS or LS, thats why they aren't seeing them.

I have a question for Mq2Grind users. I'm going to boost a Pally to level 100 to group with my 124 BST / 118 Bard / 112 Mage + 124 cleric merc. I was hoping to use Mq2Grind in GD to catch Pally up to the group or get her to the 115 range with appropriate AA as well as work the Mage up and get AA's on other toons.

However, the Pally won't be able to tank until 115 with the AA and gear, so in the mean time, I need the BST to pet tank which shouldn't be hard. Pet tanks 2 mobs at a time in LS. Is there a way to configure this in the grindui configuration? To assign Pally as basically assist dps and BST as tank? If so, how?

Question for grinding: On my new heroic characters that do not have the LS expansion, I have been PL'ing them with grind through the restless assault mission. Would one of the other missions from COV be better for Powerleveling them up? I figured since they were all level 115 rated, it wouldn't matter. Right now I have been building vitality on them, then logging them in once a day to level them with the Grind run, burning through their vitality. I have gotten them to 113 like that, and 1 that I did get the LS expansion to 119 so far.

The grind run is being done with level 125 characters mainly in the group, and the PL toon in there with them. I had tried with the level 100 SK through GMM, but they did not make it past the first pull (got 3 mobs at once, and they wiped with no CC) . Especially since i am waiting on gear until they hit 120-125.

I have been running the missions in LS pretty regularly, mainly HAF though, since I am always locked out of FF. Do you have Use Campfire turned on? I would try without that to see if that is causing the issue.
 
tried it without campfire but same issue.
Also downloaded the mesh updates from this FAQ i think it was.

Are you using a very low number for mq2autosize? If so be at least size 5

jag I'm at a real loss here on how to isolate what you're dealing with. I've run both FF and HF on 5 different groups and no issues were experienced. Also you are the only person who is saying that you are unable to get into either mission and that both are somehow at the some location. This makes me lean towards the problem is on your PC or is caused by some setting you have. Both are OK - we'll work through it and try to figure it out and get it resolved asap.

I noticed that you refer to FF and FaH; there is no FaH mission. There is an HaF or HF mission (Heroes are Forged) is that what you mean?

Here is the section of code which distinguishes between Final Fugue (FF) and Heroes are Forged (HF / HaF).

Please walk me through the steps you take, the commands you type, and or the buttons you push on the MQ2Grind interface so that I can somehow try to replicate the issue you are having.

basically I run it like I have always run the missions through grind. I have the grind ui up and I am near the quest giver so the buttons become active and I hit the start grind button
I use to run the Shei mission but now at the bar I will hit Haf or FF to start it will take a few seconds then my group will get the task my group will sit for a min then run
to the door at that time both thing happens

I used the manual commands you ask me to do
both same thing happens HaF and FF
I put in command
/doortarget id 2
response in window
Switch 2 'OBJ_SWITCHDOOR_CLICK' targeted
/nav door click
response
in green [Nav] Navigating to switch: OBJ_SWITCHDOOR_CLICK
in red [Nav} could not locate destination in navmesh: (-343.76, 1053.00, 10.49)

no matter at either door the one line starting in red with [Nav] could not locate destination in nevmesh: (-343.76, 1053.00, 10.49) that location is the same starting
either mission at the door and running /nav door click response is the same navmesh loc. showing the 2 pictures each is different mission and different door.

is something messed up with my navmesh location?

I looked at the jason file for door laurioninn_doors.json in that file ID 2 is the same so I am guessing that has nothing dealing with the loc in map. for target id 2 both times is not actually my problem.

I've been running it a lot during RoF just as a Hunter Tank with my crew and have had a lot of success while being pretty much hands off. It gives you a fully spawned instance of EW and does drop you back at the quest NPC when I've dropped mission in different places in mission.

Don't know what other things you consider when taking a look at future additions but something to consider! Can't say for sure how many hundreds or maybe even thousands of AAs I grinded here but thought it could possibly be a good addition for something that's a slightly earlier expansion!

Here's a little perspective on GD: Restless Assault

Tank: 118 SK, T1 CoV gear, Sword/Board, 52K AA, about 5-6 augs, epic 2.0
Mag x2 117/116
BRD 116
SHM 117
CLR 116

The rest have CoV T1 gear. This group does just fine now that the tank has the above.
 
Thank you so much for this resource -- enjoying it and also showing my RL/EQ partner how to run it.

Ran into an issue -- not sure if it is CWTN or Grind...

Group is running Goblins and Fools. SK @ 119, then Enchanter/Mage/Beastlord @ 106 with merc Healer and one DPS. Generally, everything is going well. Enchanter (probably CWTN?) will charm one goblin, and it will help. At location 23/23 (last one before getting new instance), I have Session-based configuration set to Wait for Full Mana -- charmed Goblin gets loose and kills chanter. I watched one time when this happend, and engaged with my tank, killed the goblin. No other group member engaged.

Again, not sure if this is CWTN (all toons running that), or Grind, but thought I'd let you know -- probably a very special case, but it might solve some future issues.

I understand why that happened. Using the default settings for pausing the toon in order to med would pause the cwtn plugin. I would recommend setting the enchanter pause command to be able to handle its charmed pet, like not enabling pause and staying in a mode to continue control of the pet.

You don't do it for safe & sane steady profits, you do it for the rush and excitement of playing fast and loose, and with good skills you can come out ahead. This is incompatible with the spirit and intent of automated XP grinds. The easy solution is:

I have been using MQ2Grind pretty much since LS went live, and it was my first time using it. I've never had any issues until recently, and I am not sure how to problem solve it. I use Grind when I am going to be away from the computer, so I don't actually see what takes place.

I normally have no issues, and can let it run for hours. However, recently... as in the past week... I cannot run it without ending up dead, and I'm not sure why. Each time I set up to run, and walk away, I return to my tank and sometimes other toons dead in the guild hall, with the survivors sitting outside the mission at the door. The mission I run is FF. I tried HAF, but I always get stuck on a tree, so I have been running FF for months at this point.

Below is what I see when I return. I notice its usually around these "move to locations" but not always the same one. This one is 28, other times its been 24, but almost always in the 20s.

When I afk I always load two healers, a sham and a clr, just to make sure heals are sufficient, or to cover in case one gets deaded, the other can rez and continue.

Any tips on what I can do to get back into the swing of things?

what is your group makeup? are u using selos or other speed buffs? is ur tank using aoe?

The group makeup is: War, Shm, Mag, Berz, Clr, Rog

No Selos in the group. Communion of the Cheetah is being used.

Tank AOE is off.
 
Quick follow-up to what I posted earlier -- took me a while, as RL stuff digs into my EQ time :-)

I ended up just turning off the Charm option in CWTN for the Enchanter, and after that, I have had no issues.

Still working through understanding how to best enjoy this, but I very much appreciate how this enhanced what and how we can enjoy the game! Thanks again for the effort y'all put into doing this!
 
would take cheetah off and put aoe on, I had the same issue a few months ago.

Cheetah off, and War AOE on, exact same result. 1st attempt, I started FF, walked away for about an hour (or less) came back, and once again on step 28 war was in the GL dead, with the rest of the team sitting outside the door.

I don't know changed, because like I said, I've been running FF for literally months without issue. Now, I can't run it at all without this happening. Its the exact same crew that I've been running with the exception of swapping a berz persona for a rogue.

I'm gonna sit and watch it today to get more info, but if anyone has a suggestion please let me know.
