MQ2Ghost

is there a way to do this without other people seeing the ghosted toon appear to be running in place or twitchy?

Rich (BB code):
typedef struct _MovePacket {
/*0000*/ unsigned short SpawnID;
/*0002*/ unsigned short TimeStamp;
/*0004*/ int Heading:16;
/*0006*/ int unknown1:16;     //??
/*0008*/ float DeltaZ;        // ?? not sure
/*0012*/ int Animation:16;
/*0014*/ int padding014:16;   //??
/*0016*/ int DeltaHeading:16; //?? not sure
/*0018*/ int Animation2:16; // something else to do with animation
/*0020*/ float Y;
/*0024*/ float DeltaY; //?? not sure
/*0028*/ float DeltaX; //?? not sure
/*0032*/ float Z;
/*0036*/ float X;
} MovePacket, *PMovePacket; // 40

Is the correct movement packet..

Both Animation and Animation2 - need to be set to 0 in the OnSendPacket call or else it will show as the if the character is moving in place..

How safe is this plugin anyway? I have read alot of articles about this being a bad one. What is the truth?

Know a few people that were banned today. Only thing they ever used other than warp was ghostkill.

Then they're stupid killing mobs that they shouldn't be able to solo, of course SoE is going to figure that out.. Im sure they keep an eye on every zone/what mobs are present in the zone/how many people are in the zone/what gets killed.....

this is regular ghost, and IMO it's just a little less safe than rwarp, since ( I THINK, it turns you into an NPC? )

Aye, Probly so....
I heard from a friend that it <does> but I highly doubt it :)

BTW- It was for using an *undetectable warp* as the GM's told me in the live chat crap. Weren't banned, but over 160 were suspended on Povar yesterday during a *LogSweep* Watch yur back!

And to let you know, I didn't kill any mobs that couldn't have been killable normally. So they didnt *catch me* for using GhostKill, it was for the warp included with it I'm guessing, but will prolly never know =)

So, MDARG;
Could this possibly mean they're going to do it to ALL servers? ( logsweep )
and also, were the people that got suspended ever been banned before?
( wondering if they were banned if they were going to get banned again )

and btw, Abyss's MQ2Moveplayer FTW! :)

No idea. We had around (8) accounts suspended in my group. About 4 of them had used the GhostKill plugin, but others just used the other warp "moveplayer?". Not saying it was that, but kinda makes me wonder if that could have possibly caused it.

I got Suspended just a second ago. haven't used the Moveplayer yet. I been warping around today killing foragers in an empty zone though. Second account bites the dust.

Learningcurse, for how long are you suspended?....
and for Suspenstion you will eventually get your account back, IMO don't send anymore emails and just wait till its unsuspended.. :)

You don't always get your account back. Sometimes SoE just suspends you until they decide whether or not to ban you. That's what happened to me.

Yeah, that's why i said " don't send anymore emails ".. cause from what i read before it could just trigger them into searching for more stuff to BAN you with

*wink
:)

Wel I don't know for how long its suspended just said it was suspended. Last time I had a account suspended it turned to banned and they have told me that bannings are non negotiable. Actually no one told me shit, that was the canned answer I got from them.

Well, that isnt all exactly true....
I was banned for about 3 months and then one day i just started spamming there inbox with emails about releasing my account and eventually they let me have it back..

eh, well they refused to unban me months ago, back when my druid account was banned for warping and farming the 69.1 mission (lost notebook)

Greetings,

Thank you for contacting Sony Online Entertainment. As you requested we
reviewed the status of your account and the offense that caused Sony
Online Entertainment to close your account. Due to the excessive use of
third party programs to cheat at completing various missions, we decided
not to release your account. We do appreciate your understanding as to
why we had to make such a strong decision about your account. We are
sorry we could not be of more assistance and we wish you luck in your

i just got done messing around with it for about a hour, pretty cool toy, but is there any other options you can use it for besides walking aroun no agro and looting mobs?

No it wouldnt
we have a brilliant one boys!
i was more thinking of it for the looting abilities of this... would help you loot what you've ghosted...

No he does not provide or sell loot from anywhere.

So this is good for that.

Except this plugin breaks or screws with Abyss's plugins.
Edit: Break and/or screws with depending on the plugin in question.

RG_01, Red cent for you when i get caught up with my red cent dues :)

I know that other players simply see you standing at the point where you 'ghosted on'. But do other MQ'ers see you moving around the map? And what about non Mq'ers in your group with this new group map feature? Do they see you moving on it, or just stationery?

It looks very odd to other players in game. Basically, they see your character standing in one spot and when you run ghosted, you run forward a few feet and then appear to be leashed back to the point you started ghosting.

Information displayed on other peoples maps comes from the SOE servers sending you data. This basically means that MQers and Non-MQers won't see you moving on the map (except for the moving a few feet forward and leashing.) They will see you show up in a different area of the map when you /ghost off. People may think you're warping so it's best not to do this in front of people you don't know or people who don't know you MQ.

Best idea is to just not use this infront of people, period.

Anyone try this with advtaskwarp2? Just wondering what the results would be. I might try it later. Thanks for the update I love this plug in.

Well, I thought this was the case, (although I have watched myself on another PC and it just looks like I twitch a bit, rather than moving forwards and back).
The reason I asked this question in the first instance, is that I was somewhat freaked out this weekend by it. I had parked myself in a little cubby by Illsallin zin. Ghosted on and then proceeded to check out the zone for some routes. Travelling thru the zone, I passed various groups, as you'd expect. Then I received a tell from one of the players: 'You know this area is camped, right'? I responded 'Sure, just checking some areas out', or something. Then I ghost/returned to my parked spot. Another tell: 'nice warpage'. So, wtf? There must be some method that MQ2'ers (and I assume he was) must have been able to see me wandering around the map, and then 'warp' back to my start point. Because I used ghost/return rather than ghost/off, surely he shouldn't have seen me move from the start point at all otherwise?
