MQ2Cleric

Plugin - MQ2Cleric (1 Viewer) 3.1.52471.11

With LDoN on Riz our clerics now have access to the Vie line of spells. I have noticed that my lvl 65 cleric is not casting Protection of Vie on my group members. I have the box checked the box for Use Vie. I've tried unloading and loading the plugin to no avail.

Is it possible to get Shining Aegis added to UseXTargetBuffing? Not sure how to best toggle it, as you might not always want it cast to all xtargets... Perhaps to raid assist target? (Not sure what is best here.) Been having to manually re-apply shining to all my tanks when in raid.

we just apply aegis to our group's MA - We can force by type - like tanks, or melee, casters etc, but I don't have a good solution for "also just do our xtarget, but only xtarget and not the entire raid that matches those class/role types". At least for now, not going to change from just doing our group's MA. I'd imagine if you had a tank that needed aegis, they'd be in a group with a cleric

thanks Klaw, appears that spell was missing - you can tell what spells the plugin is going to use when you load it and it spits out all the spells

Request for change in logic to have the Clr and Shm Rez the Tank first and Not DPS...
My Clr and Shm both running CWTN plugins today have continuously rezzed my DPS instead of Tank several times.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist in this.

Thank you,
~TheFiddler~

they rez the closest dead body to them

not a pro at this, but why wouldnt it check for MT/MA as the rez? as @TheFiddler says and other remarks you made on the speed of checks, not saying stop cast, but *bst is dead, hes close, but MT is dead, value check to MT/MA?* I understand there is alot of logic behind the scenes, but that seems to me a useful look?

I get that Sir, and im not a code/script type, just asking why it wouldnt go distance (in range/oor), role (tank/ma/puller/healer).. so is it close enough? yes.. what do they do? (they take a axe to the face, this other one eats foods and waits for a burn),...

I will keep answering with the same answer: they currently rez the closest corpse to them.

I'm literally looking at this right now, and something cwtn and i have spoken about before. - but instead, I'm re-answering you where i already said "they currently rez the closest corpse to them.

if that changes it will be in updates notes

(this is normally where you hit me with a taco emoji, don't disappoint)
edit: thanks

sent the taco.. not a issue ive ran into, and im not down in the trenches with yall.. and the plug and play (easy mode) thats provided gives me no background... just seems to be something that would useful Sir >.> is it possible without blowing up mechanics.. no idea..

thanks @TheFiddler - what you're saying makes sense 100%

I was hoping to NOT type out a super long post with screenshots and explanations because no one reads them anyhow, but since there's a back and forth with a certain taco distributor:

yes, what you're saying makes sense 100%
yes, this is something we've considered and talked about doing - we haven't yet for several reasons
no, it is not something it does now - so you're not seeing unexpected behavior
no, I don't know if/when it will be changed
yes, if/when it is changed it will be added to the update notes

@Sic @ChatWithThisName

As always, Thank you for all the work you do on these various plugins.

I honestly did not know previous to this that this is expected behavior. Knowing that I will try to die closer to my Cleric and/or Shammy :bang:
New to my overall wish-list would be an update to the Rez logic as stated vs. MQ2Bard. 😎

Regards,
~TheFiddler~

you're welcome (i see after you posted this you saw the pm i sent you too :))

So, this is awesome to use, however, i'm a bit lost, is there a way to save the "changes" you make ?
For example I use BYOS, Symbol, Vie, but everytime I log off and back on, it's back to its original state, did I miss something ?

Check out the FAQ(link at top of page)

Q. The UI Window Doesn't save my settings?
A. This is intentional. The UI acts as a "hot swap" allowing you to adjust on the fly. If you want to "save" your settings, adjust it with the slash command.
there is a video linked in the FAQ as well that will help.

Is anyone else not getting their Retort casting? I've unticked memsplash and its in the spellbar but not casting....

When claiming overseer rewards I get updates in the clr window, see image. This seems to occur on multiple ctwn plugins (only tested in mag and enc), but doesn't seem to cause any issues that I've seen. Thought I'd just mention it anyway in case there might be.

yes, we update all our stuff any time you get a "You have successfully been granted your reward for:" since some of those are rewards that update your spells/abilities - we also do this when you get the "Your Spell Book has been updated!" and "You have learned a new combat ability!" and "You have gained a level" (we congratulate you on the ding :) ) etc etc etc

this is intended

Hmmm...I understand the request but the tanks (if equipped/aa'd well) hardly ever die with the standard config...maybe more energy into gearing/aa'ing and less into changing the plugin...

This is what i normally have my cleric as
use melee on
battlemode on

if i don't want to melee, i turn off battlemode (tho not required now)

would only turn on useresponse and useconsequence if i was doing something that needed them specifically

if i was doing something i wanted to splash, i would turn on memsplash on - and if i was in a raid i would turn on usealliance and forcealliance if i wanted to be alliance bitch

is there a way i can make MQ2Cleric, sham, or the others automatically start as Paused. i tried changing the ini file for each toon to Pause=on. as it is already set to off and that worked for a while but lately that has not been working.

howdy princevoodoo - we specifically and intentionally don't let the plugins start paused, but you can have mq2 execute a command when it loads/starts to make that happen yourself if you wanted you can use a .cfg file.

> CFG Info <

MQ "Next" has a new "Ingame.cfg" you would use (probably better than autoexec.cfg

but you could use server_character.cfg for vox_bob.cfg with a /clr pause on or a /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} pause on

some folks like to pause if they enter guild hall

for example, the palatial guild hall is guildhalllrg_int.cfg (note the 3 l's)
and you would just have a /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} pause on in that cfg
and then you would execute that whenever you zoned into the guild hall.

you can find what the zone shortname is by doing a /echo ${Zone.ShortName} and then that would be the name of your [zone short name].cfg

my personal guildhalllrg_int.cfg has a

which puts my toon in mode zero, moves me forward for 1.5 seconds (so im not near a door so i can use nav without clicking outside), then i nav to my guild regen pool

/multiline ; /docommand /${Me.Class.ShortName} mode 0; /keypress FORWARD hold; /timed 15 /keypress FORWARD; /timed 30 /nav loc 15 -393 -24;

just curious, why have they been intentionally set to not be able to be started paused? only because i know the pause on option was working before and then it wasn't.. i bring that up because of the stigma of how people are with around with the use of MQ2, it's nice when you log in and the toons (particularly casters) do not go into an automatic buffing or casting of particular spells right off the bat

because if a person logged out with it paused, they might log back in with it paused and not realize it - we're of the opinion that if someone has the plugin loaded, they want the plugin to do plugin stuff. it is a design choice that we made.

but as mentioned you can handle this with the cfgs if that is something you want to force to happen.

or you could take drastic measures and unload the plugin before logging out (you'd end up having to reload your ui after loading the plugin if you did this method and i don't recommend it)

re: pause on option was working before --- they have never started paused. you can pause on and off all day long while in game, when you load back in game or start the plugin, it will be unpaused.

just like if you log out in a pulling mode, when you log in you will instead swap to the respective non-pulling mode --- huntertank -> tank; pullerassist -> assist. its a design choice we made

I can understand your needs, and the cfg is a perfect solution to that need. let me know if you need help getting it set up

ah fair enough reason lol. as far as the cfg thing, i know nothing about it. i try to keep things as basic as possible because im not quite so savvy with everything but i'll take a look in to it.

Is anyone else missing nextcleric from the plugin list in launcher? i have all my other plugs from CWTN and Sic but missing enc and cleric
