it doesn't change your loadout. it makes it use nukes and nuke stuff and other things that usenuke is used for your nuke spells if you have them loaded and other things (like celestial hammer, turn undead, and improved twincast),.
Is there a setting to prevent the Cleric from trying to overcast a better buff? My cleric keeps trying to chain cast "Daring" over Protection of Nature, and will run himself OOM chain casting this buff over and over.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfortunately, there are some buffs that mq2 reports back and stack and you're missing, so we'd try and cast them.
You could either use byos, and then you won't memorize spells to buff at all, so you can handle all your buffing, or you can block any spell you don't want cast upon someone.
Daring is pretty low compared to protection of nature - I'm guessing you're a lower lvl toon that got some high lvl buffs? if that is the case i'd personally probably just byos

Q. Cleric is chain casting something?
A. There are a few lower lvl / mid level buffs that eq/mq2 reports stack that do not, or will chain overwrite other buffs and you get into a buffing contest with another toon. You either have this situation or some other issues. I would suggest checking for the red error text that eq gives you to tell you WHY it didn't successfully take hold and then go from there. You can block anything you don't want cast.
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Buffs
EQ Menu -> Character -> Blocked Pet Buffs (to add to anyone's pet blocked spells)
Q. I don't want the plugin to cast xyz buff on a toon.
A. Any buff you don't want cast upon someone, you would just have that character add it to their blocked buffs.

Hey Sic, so my Cleric on a few raids has not been switching targets with my MA and keeps meleeing. I noticed SwitchWithMA is gone and I have this ticked on all my crew. Occurred in Kalndicar & Griklor so far that I noticed.
Fun thing is its not consistent as it will then behave and switch tar.

there is no switchwithma for any of the casters - they automatically do that, and there is no way to make them *not* do it.
either
a: you didn't have a group ma assigned
b: was in raidmode without a raidmode assigned in your raid window and /clr raidmode # assigned to match
c: the mob you would be assisting was out of your campradius (this is my guess)
d:
/clr usemelee off if you don't want to meleemy guess is that you're meleeing on a mob, your MA is too far away fighting a new mob outside of your campradius, and you're not in chasemode with a reasonable chase distance set.
ps. byos if you want to bring your own spell line.
now, until next patch there is an issue if you have *no* xtargets, that your ma clearing target or targeting self won't make you clear yours, but this only applies to toons WITH switchwith ma, zerk, rog, bst, etc.

Agree with C. as we are moving around.... need the Clr melee procs so prefer melee on.
So are there any other Clerics out there that feel one of the group heals should be changed to a heal over time? Maybe I'm the only one but moving around with a heal ticking over really helps keep my crew alive.
Going BYO on Cleric means I miss all the auto casts that help so much and its too fiddly to manage with BYO.

no plans on adding to memorize hots at current tier/lvl - but you can byos it and there's even the "KeepHotUp" if you want it to keep hots running while you have xtargets (would start tossing it up while puller is on the way back, for example)

I've played cleric as a raid main in the past and still occasionally break out the cleric for some raids. Our HoTs are not very good and are rarely worth the spell slot in most cases. You obviously have an edge case where it might be useful. But in the more general cases, HoTs are out and and fast casting spam heals are in.
yup, and we specifically have an option to turn off automatic Celestial Regen usage with /
clr UseCelestialRegen off - this allows you to manually toss it (or do things like MGB it) for cases specifically like this one

I do apologize if this has already been dealt with before, as I did a quick scan through the previous messages and saw no mention of it. And it might simply fall under use "BYOS" option, but I thought I would bring it up just in case anyways. I was wondering if it is possible to make an option to use Aura of Pious over Aura of Reverent, as the cap on Reverent makes it less useful than Pious in some zones.
The Reverent is newer than pious, so since its in your spell book we use it.
if you don't want reverent you might consider removing it from your book (i actually don't think you can), otherwise, we're going to use the newer spell.
Aura of the Rev does 4% absorption up to a total of 1409 (at rank 3) 100k hit absorbs 1409
Ara of the Pious does 3% with no absorption total 100k hit absorbs 3k dmg
I've looked at this the very small handful of times it has come up, and based on going through logs and seeing how many small hits versus large hits and what total absorption would take place, its always come back as mostly a wash, and not worth forcing the older spell.
if we *did* something like this it would just be not using the newer spell, and not being an option to toggle.
We don't have any plans on changing this, but do you have any logs or anything that can back up that this is actually a meaningful difference over the course of a fight/encounter?
Folks have been asking for auras (for classes that don't have it), updates, and fixes since auras were a thing
Cleric Aura Thread on DBG Forums - here's a thread from last spring saying that if mobs are hitting for 45k avg the lower aura is better, which doesn't stack with shining or vie - so its kind of a moot point at that point anyhow as they are SPA 162

Sorry, but I don't have any logs that would be able to show any kind of meaningful difference between both auras. Mostly I only came up with the idea to ask because I was having a conversation with a few others about when to use each aura. And how the cap on Reverent was lower in-game, making the breakpoint for Pious being better at around 41k to 42k hits vs 47k hits.
But since you pointed out that it shares the SPA with shining, I think any small benefit we could squeeze out of using Pious is even further diminished. And thank you for taking the time to pull up information to support the conversation. It helps returning players such as myself relearn the mess that is the game.
And as always, thank you for the amazingly quick responses, and all the effort you put into these plugins.

I see the update on 6/13 for Merciful shield Clicky BP. However, I can not get my cleric to cast the BP on themselves or the MA. I have relogged and unloaded and reloaded the plugin. Currently have burncount set to 1 to try and get it to fire.
The BP is non prestige (snowbound), and it is currently set to my burn (see screenshot).

they will only try and target the ma and then use it when your burn conditions are in use - it won't do anyone else. the MA must be on mq2cwtnbuffs/local and merciful shield must stack with them
my cleric in melee combat, swapped to my MA
hit the breastplate
and it is now on my MA
so make sure:
a: you have your MA assigned in your group window
b: your MA is a local toon on mq2cwtnbuffs
c: merciful shield would stack with your toon (not at buff limit or wouldn't stack with another buff you have)
d: you have met your burn conditions are in a burn situation
e: your item is ready to be used

for the cwtn plugins - outside of alliance. for us to cast a buff on someone, they need to be a local toon running mq2cwtnbuffs, because we checked for buffcount, and blocking, and stacking
from the FAQ: (i go over it in the video too - the buffing/local thing not the merciful shield as that is new, actually i think the cleric video is right when we redid mq2kissbuffs over the mq2cwtnbuffs)
Q. Why does my cleric not buff the group?
A. You will need to run /plugin mq2cwtnbuffs load on all of your characters that you would like mq2cleric to buff. You also need to NOT be in /clr byos on mode. As "Bring Your Own Spells" assumes you want to handle your spells and your buffs. MQ2CWTNBuffs requires characters to be local characters (same PC, not across network or space/time).

so that image doesn't actually show me really anything.
mq2cwtnbuffs writes a file for your toonnamae_buffs.ini and this is what we read to check for their current buffs, blocked buffs, pets buffs, buff count, etc. if bilbo doesn't have a Bilbo_Buffs.ini in your release folder then he doesn't have the buff file for us to check, and we won't cast upon him.
this would be the same file for other buffs, so if you click off aegolism and it casts aegolism on bilbo, then it is working and there is something else amiss

nah the STAc thing is something we added (so you see it spit out in the plugin loadup) but it doesn't use it. it is because of shitty stacking reporting issues later on. I'll take a look at using it but limiting it to just lower levels

What sort of raid? Are you in a guild where everyone plays their main character or are you trying to automate 20-30 characters by yourself? The plugin-ins are extremely easy to get working right out of the box, but customization is limited by design.

It does extremely well as a bot healer if you just want something to stand back and spam heals. It doesn't necessarily do all the "extras" that you would expect from someone playing their main. Buffs are right out since the plugins will only buff character that are local to the same PC that the cleric is being run on. You will also need to actively manage the group MA role inside the EQ client if you want the cleric to focus on 1 tank above all others. That's fine if you're the group leader in the raid tool, but problematic if you have to ask someone else to do it for you. Xtarget buffing is enabled through the plugin UI, so you can put all the raid tanks on your xtarget window and the plugin will use them all as valid heal targets. Rezzing is very efficient, but it can get gummed up if someone refuses to take the rez as you will get locked into a cycle of rezzing the same corpse over and over.
its a cleric bot, it does cleric bot stuff.
I regularly get people in end game guilds send me healing parses where they're clearing content and cwtn healers are topping parses.
but you should check it out yourself so you can be happy with your choice
with your lvl 2 VV sub, you can use any of the CWTN plugins on the test server and try them out for yourself without commiting to a 12 month license.
just /testcopy your toons and give them a try.
