MQ2Cleric

Plugin - MQ2Cleric (2 Viewers) 3.1.52471.11

Another question, am I able to copy the file charname_buff.ini to the computer where the cleric is on and will it read it, then see the tank doesn't have the buff?
nah - it has a way of checking to ensure that information is up to date

currently we don't have any way of offering buffing to non local mq2 users, or across network

dang that stinks, lmk if you guys start down that path, would be happy to help test things out. It is unfortunately a deal breaker for me. The Plugins are awesome.

Long time ago, when i was using 2 computers to run one group, i shared release folder with my other computer to run MQ2 from the same folder. (Dont remember if i made a folder and shared it or if was using dropbox) But that was working. You can maybe try that.

unfortunately this can and will cause you stuttering and unexpected issues - because you're sharing a folder that is getting read/write very frequently - it could possibly not be something noticable with a couple of characters, but you could potentially run into problems if you start trying to have a bunch of groups

I run a 10Gb LAN., I could give it a quick go and see if it works. Though as you mention a little bit of lag could be the degerminator of life or death on a named. I read the other person's post who was having network issues on the ctwnbuff page so I'm thinking there might be more to it then just a folder share and a fat pipe to make it all work well.

Unfortunately didn't work. I'm assuming something may be hardcoded as I opened the .exe from a unc path defined in the launcher and the charname_buff.ini was still saving to the default VV directory locally. Ahh well, I'll be front of line when this feature is added in the future.

Was worth a try, i was using this a long time ago like i said with just one group. Launcher not existing at this time.

I am in assist mode on my cleric, its just me and my warrior. My warrior is marked tank, puller, and assist. Why does the cleric continue to stand the whole fight after casting a heal?

we return to camp and sit after you no longer have mobs on xtarget

Cleric lvl 75 and higher I have noticed that it does not fill all the spell slots after 9 slots I have 2 or 3 empty.

Is this normal?

yup if you have an empty slot that the plugin isn't loading something into - you can load w/e
you will put dissident or hand (lvl 65) in slot 10
you will put retort of seventeenth (lvl 77) in slot 11
you will put shining (lvl 89) in slot 12
etc.

Thank you was not sure if it was meant to be or not.
And thank you for the suggestions on what to put there

by "you will" i meant it to say "this is what the plugin will eventually put here" sorry for the confusion

NP those are the spells I have already put there in the mean time :)
if you are not in BYOS, those are spells you would memorize them. if you turned on BYOS that means you want to load your own spell set.

to memorize the hand lines - you would want to toggle on UseHand

Erud's retort - the first retort you get isn't until 85, so we would memorize seventeenth automatically if it wasn't already memorized (like in the case if you had it memorized in slot 7 due to other reasons) if you have seventeenth in that slot 7 and no retort, you wouldn't load anything in slot 11. I would toss in a cure to match whatever mobs you're currently fighting as you don't get your first "Cure All" specific until 94

I tried to look, but I have been unsuccessful finding it: Is there a way to avoid healing pets? I would rather not heal pets while in a raid.

nah, no way to do that currently

I'll put it on my list and take a look at if its something we can/want to do and what sort of undertaking it would be.

I don't suppose it is on the agenda? :)

at this time, no.

but i'll take a look at it

Forgive me but I am new to this and I need help. I purchased the right to use the plugin. where do i download it to? Sic mentions a video but i see no link to the video that shows how to set it up. If this is the wrong place for the post I am sorry. Again I am new to this so i ask for forgiveness in advance

the VV launcher will download it for you - you can verify by clicking the plugins tab (for live) - for test/emu it is already included with VV so you don't have to check that plugins tab

Found a little bug here. Seems if you try and use your Emperor Ganak Familiar your cleric will go into an endless loop trying to buff it with Righteousness. Only way I could stop it was to get rid of my familiars.

eq says your familiar is a pet - but if you open your inventory, and go to familiar's tab you can "auto leave"

So it is an unfixable problem. Too bad I like my little familiars.

TLP first world problems, so ok if no way to sort it! Apologies if this has been covered, I did use search function prior to posting.

A way to use leg clickies for word of health (e.g. Greaves of Forbidden Rites or Akkirus' Greaves of the Risen). Does that just go into addclicky and defensive(?), or what's the best way to sort that if there is currently a way? Thank you!

you can /clr addclicky and it will tell you all the clicky types. I plan on doing an addclicky video here soon (was waiting until after we made some updates / adjustability to some of them)

There is addclicky healthgroup and healthself, but our the values for them to fire aren't adjustable at the moment, and is set to fire if someone was at 60% health it would cast it at them (at at ourself for healthself) - which based on the item and its redonk cast time - I'm not sure if that is something you would want to rely on in that way.

We are trying to get a way to use the leg clicky heal during /mac Zrot, but of course I need to /clr pause 1 so the point is mute. (raids)
But here's a question, when my cleric is in manual and the fight is finished in group it does not sit down to med. If I am in assist mode it will, but my group likes to run around alot and change camps up and the assist fubar's that up. Would like it to sit in manual as well.

you can use vorpal or chase and they will mimic the tank's sit/stand state.
if you are in assist they will return to camp and sit
in manual mode they will not sit

Hi Sic,

just wondering are there any plans / options for your caster plugins (especially cleric) to have them sit and med during combat? Until we get horses, when cleric is OOM they just stand there looking pretty whilst rest of group pray cleric gets enough mana for quick heal

Thanks,

this is tricky and not something CWTN and i have a solution for at the moment.

For TLP specifically, we don't have xtarget aggro information - so there's no clean way for us to determine if you don't have aggro and should sit down without getting smacked around everytime we go to do so. this was something i spent a good chunk of time on when rizzle came out - and we just don't have that aggro info to utilize.

its not on our immediate short lists - but likely something we'll come back and revisit

So I loaded mq2 bst, zerker, eskay up and they all are working fine. When i did mq2cleric it makes my clerics client window poof automatically upon login....My cleric stays logged in, however I have no client window open to be able to do anything with him. Has anyone encountered this issue?

hrm - have not heard this issue, and don't have this myself.

are you sure this is mq2cleric doing this? and to confirm you're not getting a .dmp file and error popup?

When i turn off MQ2 and log my cleric in, everything runs fine...and when i was running my cleric on just KA INI no issues, i just loaded Mq2 cleric on him and now its all wonky as described. No error pop ups just the client window crashes but toon stays logged in game

hrm, not sure.

have you don't any manual editing to your mq2cleric ini file? if you tried changing your stickhow in there with a "%" it can do this, but that is the only way i know of make this happen. The ini file isn't intended to be edited directly - so if you did edit it, you might want to delete it and let the plugin re-create it.

I didnt edit anything, it happened almost instantly when i put in the /plugin mq2cleric load command. I have deleted the mq2cleric ini file and mq2 cleric plugin, will try to reload it all and hope it brings solution

Upon removing the char ini file and removing the plug in and reinstalling through redguide launcher and reloading, this issue was resolved.
