MQ2BuffMe

Release MQ2BuffMe

VV is rebuilding now - please don't load until then.

thanks to @brainiac for helping me clean up some of my kludge code (and to make sure i'm not leaking all over everyone every frame; iykyk)
thanks to @Coldblooded for the cute mouse who just wants some buffs

Very excited about MGBs coming online! Got home and loaded this up, it's working great but I did notice that my spell gem numbers are off. 1 starts at the #2 spell gem slot and effectively ends 12 at the #13 spell gem slot. I don't remember hearing anything about this in the video posted. I noticed this because when I tried to use #13 spell gem slot my toon would just sit/stand repeatedly.
*Edit* I do understand things are being ironed out not trying to be pesky. I'm just trying to be helpful :)

Very much love this. Will it do clicky item buffs like Enchanter epic 1.0 as well in combat?
No. I could try implementing something like this if/when I do MGB.

That's cause they are off in eq->mq (0 is 1, etc), maybe I didn't account for that in setting it. I'll look

Great job!

How will this play with your combat plugins? I'm running a double computer setup, so buffing its kind of a drag because, well you know. Can I write a macro/Lua that requests buffs via MQ2BuffMe, running alongside the combat plugins?

i think you must have skipped the vid

Haha yeah sorry -- I will watch it tomorrow, unable to have any sound on because of sleeping kids next room. ;D
the CC that youtube adds isn't perfect, but probably doable

and in 2023 not having any form of earbuds or headphones is pretty unusual.

Not telling you that you should or are required to watch the video - but that information is pretty basic and fundamental to the plugin and is answered there (and the faq)

Hahaha well, I can't say that I disagree, which is why I went and looked for some earbuds in a box labeled "misc electronics" and found some. Watching it now. ;)

I'm having some issues with this. I have tell windows enabled, and when the tell is received I see the popup box for the tell window, then the character exits the game like it executed a /quit. This happens on all classes that can cast a buff, but not on classes like warrior, shadowknight, berserker. Is there some logging I can turn on or any recommended steps for troubleshooting?

I don't believe I have anything like that running, I'll be working through turning everything off and trying to narrow it down. Sounds like I'm a special case so I'll report back if I find anything!

Do you use any other overlays? Should pretty much be like any other overlay.

I would check what Durango said, we certainly dont exit you.

You said it was working the night before? The only thing that changed today is the buffgem now uses the correct indexing

I recommend turning off Tell Windows if you're going to be accepting tells from numerous individuals, or you'll break your UI!

Hi,

very nice tool, found a little glitch. In the ui you can only use 5 characters if you want to change the buff request phrase. Using the commandline works perfectly, but if you change it in the ui then you get stuck after 5 characters

Hrm, I'll take a look, shouldn't be that way

I didn't have it working, was the same behavior before and after the update. I was able to narrow it down to having the issue only when running Inner Space, without Inner space running and no other changes (same plugins loaded, same window settings, etc) buffing happened as expected.

Has anyone using Inner Space for window management used this successfully?

I use innerspace and have done for a lot of years.

almost every ounce of developing mq2druid was done on innerspace

Thanks, will continue to see what is wonky with my configuration. Have this happening on two separate computers, so at least I'm consistent.

On the beast. Buffme all just does beast hp buff but does not do beast mana regen or attack buff. Still trying to figure out the shortcut. I did notice a direct tell for the specific buffs does work, but we might benefit from a buffme all tell if those are added

Oh forgot to give you props on making an amazing plugin. Great job. This really deserves a look for ones with teams!
