My level 92 bard is having some issues with mezzing mobs. At least I think it is odd behavior. My tank pulls 2-4 mobs into camp. The bard proceeds to:
1) intimidate
2)boastful bellow
3) Chant of flame
4) Pulse of Lunayn
5) Then it finally casts Mez: Lullaby of the Forlorn
This happens very, very often with slight variations, but it seems to not prioritize Mez very highly. I can understand intimidate and bellow happening first because they are instant, but why would it ever cast chant or pulse before mezing mobs? Is this behaving as intended? I was thinking that perhaps the mobs were too high for my mez, but I checked at least 10 multipulls and every mob in the pull was below the level of my memorized mez. In all of those pulls, the above behavior occurred with some slight variations (intimidate and bellow are always cast before mez, sometimes chant comes before and sometimes pulse too).
Also, I did double check to make sure I have my SK set as MA and MT. None of the mobs in question are mez immune. I must point out that this behavior does not happen every time, sometimes it mezzes first thing like a champ...but unfortunately that is far more rare than it waiting to mez and when my gear and levels are struggling with the content, mezing slowly is often very painful. Is there a setting I need to change to get him to mez more quickly?
I have attached a picture showing the order above.
Other than this, I am loving MQ2Bard!
