MQ2AFNuke

Release MQ2AFNuke

There is no "of many" line of spells configured for the Mage... I am definitely open to suggestions though. :) Also, on the wizard lineup, just un-memorizing vortex is enough to get it casting in the old spell order.... Vortex has its place, but I don't believe it's enough to change the rotation. One of these days, I am going to set this up so it can run against a combat dummy, and see how it does w/o burns.

Basically, if you have the "of Many" memorized, I'm pretty sure you have it for a reason. It's pointless and expensive if you don't use it with a lot of pets. I always make that my top priority, and together with Ancient Hedgewizard Brew, go figure. ;)
You could probably just make a trigger to make it top prio or not for a mage. It's a very good spell if you know what you're doing, and at best a very mediocre one if you don't.

I added the "of Many" spells to the list. I just need to know where it should go in the spell rotation... :)

- - - Updated - - -

Well, I can make the mage cast as many pets as necessary. I have a mage, but all I used him for was a pet tank. My wizard was my sole source of DPS.

- - - Updated - - -

I got it set up where you can test it on a combat dummy now... :)

Observations on Druid AFNuke:

-The druid will just chain cast Skin to Seedlings on the mob the entire time due to its fast cast and near instant refresh. I had to remove it from my bar to be able to use ANY other spell. Should probably be removed or use some type of check to see if the debuff is on the mob. I also have a feeling if the mob is immune (undead for example) it might also cause the plugin to hang - guessing there.

-It is not using Fire Storm/Storm Strike AA nuke during global cooldown at all.

-Nature's Fiery Wrath either needs 1) priority changed to cast first at the start of a fight or 2) flat out replaced with Winter's Wildflame. Thinking the latter would be easiest or 3) Have Wrath cast once at the start of the fight AND add Wildflame.

-Dichotomic Winds is functioning properly with firing with GoM. However, my Druid is still sitting 90%+ mana almost always. I'd consider removing the GOM limit and just let it fire when ready.

Mage stuff:

-Still would like to see Meteoric Bolt enabled to replace the other bolt due to the better damage increase.

ps. Huge thanks for even considering adding Druid stuff. The DPS is much better than what I saw with KA. However, I do still use KA on my druid for backup heals so it compliments nicely.

Edit: If anyone is curious and wants to know my joint setup using AFNuke + KA for Druid as a backup healer let me know and I'm happy to post it. Even with some stuff that needs to be tweaked in AFNuke... her DPS definitely jumped considerably compared to using KA alone to handle Druid DPS.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definitely work out some of the druid issues, and update the mage DPS line. You could use MQ2Heals for your druid backup healing instead of KA... :) I could always use more feedback there too. I'll be sure to let you know when I've made the changes.

I know originally you said there may be some conflicts trying to use AFNuke and MQ2Heals (on a druid). Is this not the case? The reason I didn't want to use it on the druid is because my main healer is a Cleric so the Druid is support and backup heal only. I guess maybe I can try it out but I think I would rather nail out the AFNuke portion before adding another variable :)

I think if you set the heal points low enough, say 50% or so, they might just work together. I may just merge the plugins. They have the same basic design.

Tried using MQ2AFNUke this evening and it crashed every time I resumed it.

There was a patch on the 22 and the primary post says last update was for 21st. Maybe that was the issue?

Yeah. If there was a ninja patch, that would certainly cause issues. I will upload a new .dll soon.

- - - Updated - - -

Updated for ninja patch. Please give it a try again tomo. :)

- - - Updated - - -

Changes requested by Kknights have been implemented, and a new .dll has been posted. I hope they work as intended. :)

Darn, just saw your update now! I'll try it out soon! Thanks for considering the feedback.

Saw your original post update -

After a few hours of playing it looks like it's still not using Winter's Wildflame for Druid or Fire Storm AA during global cooldown. I'll watch it some more tomorrow to be sure.

01/11:Added Druid Nukes requested by Kknights.

Working on enchanter mez. Mez will take priority over Enchanter DPS when complete... :)

01/05:
Added option to reduce cast spam in MQ2 chat window. Updated some enchanter stuff...
Todo: Add Meistro's mage changes... :)

12/11:
Added basic support for Mages.
Added some basic Enchanter support (DPS only, no CC) - very alpha - may not work at all.
Removed early release compiles, and updated compile for Mages. I won't be able to test anything with the enchanter until later... Maybe this weekend.

12/09:Compiled for patch...

12/05:
Fixed some /assist issues.
Fixed spell range checking
Fixed harvest spell issues (I think)
Did tons of murdering with the plugin... :)

12/03:
Fixed some issues with /nuke saveini
Added option /nuke pauseonzone on|off -- to pause the plugin (or not) when you zone
Added option /nuke memorize -- to memorize level 105 wizard spells - will make it more flexible later...
Set domount to false by default, so you can change your mountitem before it tries to cast the "Verdant Hedgerow Leaf"
Added indoor/outdoor zone check for mounts -- seems to work a lot better than the old method...
Started adding option for combat dummy testing... :)

11/30: Fixed some med/harvest issues.
11/28: Fixed some issues. Nukes great. :) Need some volunteers/beta testers though.

Requires Plugins:
  • MQ2Cast
  • MQ2MoveUtils
Optional Plugins:
  • MQ2EQBC
What it does:
  • Nukes!!!
  • Meditates
  • Uses Mounts

I'll add more data/command options later. For now, it's a lot like MQ2Heals...
/nuke on|off
/nuke pause|resume
/nuke mountitem "Mount Item"
/nuke domount on|off
/nuke domed on|off

It should assist the group/raid MA, and nuke... I will try to do some testing tonight, and fix any bugs I find. :)

this isn't fixed to work in sul or decay - mana is 82 % on zone in and he spams druzzil and spell mana return over and over when they are up

Thanks for catching that. I'll see about putting something in like the healpoints in MQ2Heals...

- - - Updated - - -

It eventually goes down to like 70%, right?

- - - Updated - - -

So, right now, I have it using Harvest of Druzzil at 80%, and Quiescent or Gambit at 70%... I suppose I'll make all those the same percentage, and make it variable... So, you can just set it with a hotkey before you zone into sul, and set it back when you zone out...

- - - Updated - - -

Okay, for Sul and the like, before zoning in:
/nuke harvestat 50
or
/nuke harvestat 45

Then, before/after zoning out:
/nuke harvestat 75

- - - Updated - - -

I won't be able to test these right away... Also, I double-checked the druid. He/she should be casting the "Fire Storm" or "Storm Strike" AA between spells, and should be using the Winter's line of spells after Wrath...

Druid spell order:
Skin to ... (once) (Seedlints/Foliage/Leaves/etc...)
Dichotomic
Wrath (once) (Nature's ... Wrath)
Winter's line (Wildflame/Wildfire/etc...)
Remote line (Sunflash/Sunfire/Sunflare)
Stun line (Anabatic/Katabatic Roar / Roar of Kolos)

Skin is good to start - I'd do Dicho -> Wrath (if using DOT) -> Remote -> Roar (however many loaded, probably 2) -> Winter. I wonder if the problem was that I took Wrath completely off my spellbar lineup last night. I'll watch for the AA nukes. I may have forgotten to disable it in KA and it was conflicting.

Edit: If people want reasoning for the order I provided you want Seedlings first for the +damage for yourself and likely all other casters in group. Dicho has a 60s recast so should be early, then Wrath needs to be done if it's going to be good DPS (need at least 18s), Remote following since long recast, Roars (b/c Anabatic/Katabatic are best DPS) followed with the last good nuke Winter's Wildflame for the small windows where none of the above are available and b/c you don't want to re-cast Wrath.

I run my Druid with Adrenaline, Resurgence, Survival, Lunasoothe, Dichotomic Winds, Remote Flash, Anabatic Roar, Katabatic Roar, Skin to seedlings, Winter's Wildflame and Frost aura. The last spot goes to Wrath (DD+DOT), Pellicle swap slot, or in the super rare chance I want to heal more, Panavida. Use a downshit for the aura and Wolf, KA for the heals, popping burn AA, and AA heals. Jimbob is slowly convincing me to move towards using his heal plugin though ;)

Jimbob, is there a way to add to the plugin to only cast a certian line of nukes when Twincast or Improved Twincast(AA) is on? Sorta like when Gift of Mana procs and the AFNuke will us Dichotomic Line. so if Twincast in on in the effects window the wizard will Ethereal Fuse, Force of Will, Ethereal Skyblaze, Force of Flame, Ethereal Rimeblast, Force of Ice, Ethereal Skyblaze, and so on.

It's sort of set up to cast like that already. The only difference really is that it will use instant nukes as well. I suppose I could make it an option exclude the instants while ITC is running. It will reduce burst DPS, but will increase sustained DPS.

That would be awesome jimbob, in order to max DPS when a wizard burns. The best setup is his ethereal spell line along with force line during cooldown.

An errata for the mage: Use all the swarm spells before Strike of Many. :D

I updated it to use the "Of Many" line after the servants (swarm pets)... I'll post a .dll after I make the changes suggested by Sinn69.

- - - Updated - - -

Compile updated and posted. :)

Does this group assist over raid assist? The reason I ask is there are events where the raid MA is assigned to taking out mobs vulnerable to melee first followed by mobs vulnerable to casters. In this setting, assisting the raid assist on the melee mob results in wasted mana as the mobs are immune to magic. If it can be set up to assist the group assist while in raid, I can easily overcome this issue. If not, can we have an option to assign a MA to follow the entire time?

It prefers the 3 raid assists in order over the group assist... I suppose I could add an option to prefer group assist first.

Not sure whats going on, but since I updated yesterday, I am unable to load this (or MQ2Heals) plugin.
C:\MQ2\Release\mq2afnuke.dll.
Get a "EverQuest: eqgame.exe - Entry Point Not Found" Error Stating The procedure entry point GetSpellNumEffects could not be located in dynamic link library C:\MQ2\Release\mq2afnuke.dll. (same for MQ2AFNuke C:\MQ2\Release\mq2heals.dll.)

It will definitely work with a 100 wiz. It works almost as good as 105. :)

- - - Updated - - -

Added a feature (requested by william12) to disable automatic assist (/nuke manualassist), and allow the player/script to manually target a mob, and start casting (/nuke start).

This does work really well, thanks! One thing I noticed is that my wizard constantly stands and sits when he should be medding, I just stuck him on a mount and it works, but if I am in an indoor zone he just constantly stands/sits.

You're welcome. I will look into the med issues. Right now, it is supposed to stand when you get a mob on xtarget window. I suppose I could have it check to see when it's in a predefined camp radius.

I was normally using the water pet om my mage, and that seemed to work just fine, but this does not seem to be setting the Fire pet to attack, not sure what was up with that....
Fire pet seem to never target mob, always seemed on "GHold mode".

Would it be possible to get a Mage Spell order/list for this plugin? Seen several spells mentioned but wanted an example of spell lineup for a raid mage or one that optimizes the plugins DPS.

I'll dig it out of the source code tonight. I don't remember the spell order off the top of my head, but it's a combination of the suggestions on here. :)

- - - Updated - - -

The way the mage casting works:
If the Target HPs < 81% and Thaumatize is ready, it will cast it...
Then, if there's a GoM, and Dichotomic Companion is ready, it will cast that...
Then, It tries the "servant" line (Relentless, remorseless, etc...)
Then it Tries the "of many" line (Storm of many/Salvo of many, etc...)
Then It goes for Spears, Bolts, Fickle Spells, and Item Clickies (In that order).

From the reviews, the DPS is pretty good, and it's always open to suggestions! :)

Just got my mage to 105, can anyone confirm if this is functioning properly after yesterday's patch?

I will have to compile a new copy when I get home from work. The current version will probably crash if you try to use it with the new compile.

Updated for patch.

Updated for MQ2 patch... Should not affect anything, but I updated it anyway.
