MQ version 6.0?

If it were up, you would see it.

This is a MAJOR patch. Expansion changed a lot of structs, and added some fun new toys (and bugs). My advice? Go look at the MQ2 website. When you see a new source there, you'll see a compile here soon.
 
Expansion patches are always the most fun. Because of course, I am a sadomasochist that likes to cut himself in his spare time to ease the pain.
 
Man I sit at home and just watch my vendor .. EQ doesnt seem fun if you don't have MQ2 to run around and warp with :P All I can do is smoke the magic pipe and stair at the vendor till its LIVE
 
what doesn't every done that ? ^) Doh, I was talking about TP's post, though the last one sounds interesting.
 
Wow total degradation of a post in 5 posts .... think thats a record..... hardest thing I know is to wait for the new MQ2 source code after a major patch like this one... then to log on and find your toon is out in bum fuck someplace with no gate potion and no invis (indoor zones) and even think of running back and finally just ranja gate it.
 
but as an avid MQ2 user I don't think I even seen that button before :P How soon I forget the real game.
 
man i am soo bored with out eq but no mq no eq for me i been usein mq for so long i dont even know how to get to zones i been too thousands of times. well im just hopein its out soonish. anyone with a rough estimate of when mq will be up could ya post it i been to site um ill just say alot checking to see if it was out yet

Thats what is fun for me playing EQ. Without Idont even care to log on one toon :(
 
I have been taking the opportunity to check out the new zones..
so far ive seen blue mobs to 75 who dont seem to summon in instanced zones who give 5 pct per kill aa at level 75..

Could be prime GKing grounds..

O macroquest how i miss thee lol come on i went to the mq2 site and they dont got no source up but lookin from whats there looks like there has not been a new one for a long time years even so i dont even know if thats were you are talkin about looking anyone know of any were can get some info on when it might be back up or where i look so i can just learn how to make it my self hold on i dont know crap about computers never mind that but yeah im bored and eq sucks without mq worst part is im a rog and i can sos were ever i wanna go and i still dont wanna i wanna warp dammit lol but nyway some info when it might be up would be nice so i dont have to come here every 2 minutes

The date on the current source download is purposely set back to 2005 or something stupid to get your attention and stop you from trying to download or use it. The last real update was 1/17 or 18/2007

That said, anyone got some gum or something? This cold turkey shit is rough. I actually turned the TV on last night. /shudder

No say it ain't so ... not "TV" omg ... quick someone hand him some BigRed to chew or something..... just rememebr it has been worse .. didn't the last patch take over a week to get sorted out then we ahd 2 roll backs ... not handing out the arsenic pills yet .....

And as far as going outside ... how do you get there again ..... without my maps am afraid I will get nabbed by a mob I couldn't see ... nope staying put ...

I figure based on the shrinking outfit, the top will just be a pair of pasties in 4 more expansions.
 
Just wanted to throw in a few things to think about for those who are asking about ETAs for v6. SoE is adding a new slot (which will probably be bugged - remember when charms came out?), they have apparently screwed up old quests severely, and have added completely new types of encounters / events. This isn't nearly as passive as, say, LDoN, GoD, SoL, and most other expansions were.

The folks running this place are pretty dam sharp and will have it asap. Just keep an eye on the MQ2 download site (as mentioned in earlier posts). It'll be up here as soon as Lax and the crew at MQ2 are done with it. This is a good time to remind you, MQ2 works off donations....I know I work harder when I know it's appreciated BEFORE I do the work.
 
OK not advertising for them but as here these guys here work really hard and depend a lot on support from http://www.macroquest2.com/ so go over and if you like what you see knowing what happenes here is dependent a lot of time of there donate and become a VIP member....
 
They just popped up a new Message of the day on EQ stating not to do any quests in Dranik Scar as the turn-ins are causing the zone to crash. They have rquested that no one do these quests until they are able to patch it. So probably be another patch quite soon... :eek:
 
btw to all those asking for new mq , soe added alot of changes / filters now to watch ingame shit more closely , this wasnt just little changes like they normally do on patches , everything about how the server reads / interpurts was changed hehe , so it could be a while on mq2 , as for the filters watch waht u say in game , have been few reports of people talkigna bout warping in guild / group and gms popping around to say whats up hehe :#
