Question - MQ Pause while casting - HOW?

Hi guys. Simple question, haven't found a way.

How do I stop a kissassist macro (Pause if possible) mid-cast?

So for example, I'm spamming canni and mid cast would like to pause, so I can manually control a malo/slow.

Currently I am spamming my mqp button near end of cast and hoping it syncs. Sometimes it works, sometimes i unpause and pause it and another anni starts.

I've also run into this problem when trying to mqp for SHM punt... Never been able to figure it out, but would love to hear if someone has an idea.

eq doesn't allow us to use social hotkeys while casting

I asked brainiac if that could be forced with an mq2 thing, but he said that would be considered an active hack.

you can, however, still TYPE commands while casting a spell

/mqp on

I believe knightly's mq2mybuttons allows you to click while casting (i need to look into that)

Hmm ok looks like I'll have to be clever with a /mqp on and /stopcast to get desired effect. thank you!

Look at ducking or jumping also to interrupt.

This is the best option. Use Mq2mybuttons so you can click the hotkey while casting and use those / commands.

your hotkey could issue the /stopcast before issuing /mqp command. This also is one of those instances where MQ2React could be of use. You would have to get a bit creative, but interrupting your casting after /mqp is something I think could be done from MQ2React, What do you say @drwhomphd

In my experience, Sic is correct; the MyButtons plugin does work while casting. Having said that, I have not tried it in this scenario. I have used it to allow me to send commands to my other toons while the main toon is casting, tho. Works in combination with MQ2CustomBinds to set a key for each button.

What I ended up doing:
HotKey Net broadcasts key command to my second machine - specifically to a macro that does /bct castersname //mqpause on
When I hit it, it turns off my mqp. I just have to remember to turn it back on when done casting what I need to manually do.

You can TYPE commands while casting. or have other machines SEND you commands. but can't click an in game macro with the same.

/custombind add pause
/custombind set pause /mqpause
/bind pause e

Hit e and in instantly pauses / unpauses even while casting
