anyone able to tell me why mind excoriation is not being cast? should i add or take away something? the spell is on the bar but the necros wont cast it. and thats over 800mana regen to the group i want and for bonus points is there a way for them to cycle, one casts, when the buff in the window is down another casts etc? the buff lasts 42sec, the spell recast is 1min, so idealy i only really need 2 of them doing it, and can save the spell slot on the third for another dot.

Is that the only spell that isn't casting? Or is it kind of skipping around the DPS list?

Since you have DpsOn=2, KA will try to follow the DPS mob health percentages exactly. You have a few things at 100 health and everything else at 99. So KA may either not make it through the whole list if the mobs are dead before it finishes, or it may jump around the 99 health ones a bit.

Try setting Mind Ex. to a different percentage like:

Then if that works, set the other necro's ini to diff percentages to stagger them.

Did this condition from the other related post work on checking for the recourse buff?

Alternatively, you could try DpsOn=1 and see if that works better. I think 2 is the right setting for you, but you may either need to add more conditions to the spells, stagger the health percentages more or move the most important spells to the top of your DPS list. More info on the DPS settings in the KA instructions.
 
i tried using that one you gave me it didnt work so i removed the dpscond you had for it, didnt work, i have been monitoring them with dps2 they go down every single spell except that one and the aa's are only being cast when off cd at the start, so i dunno what is happening mind excoriation should be the first spell that is cast in the list to make it go up and also make it be off cd quicker since 60sec, everything else is being cast its just skipping over it completely not even acknowledging it

so yes its the only one not casting

i also reversed the spell order to make the quick dots be last in line because apparantly those do not trigger the alliances, so i am killing much faster and all of the dots are on the mob so its much better overall, but that is neither here nor there just info for others playing necros out, it will make them pop instead of maybe be a wasted cast
 
When you first log in and run KA for the first time, KA does a diagnostic on your ini file and reports it in the MQ2 window. Does it list anything for DPS15? Like it can't find the spell or something?
 
i am sorry guys it is not showing errors and kisscheck is not working and mind excoriation is not being cast, it just bypasses it all together this sucks
 
no, I have to hard cast it, and it goes off, it just doesn't seem to want to cast it from the ini, so I am hard casting it, its landing and its giving us the buff....I just got the 4th necro to 110 and I wanted him and one of the others to cycle them so its up permenantly, but they simply will not cast it so I don't know what to do.

they will cast it and the buff does land on the group, otherwise it wouldn't. so I am at a loss of words here, but I am heading to work I will check redguides later if you guys have suggestions, I really want to get this up and running 800+ mana per tick is huge especially with an all caster group.

Add a health percentage to #14 Mercurial and see if that fixes it. KA might be getting stuck on 14 and it carries over to 15 due to it looking for the percentage number.
 
you not the first today that i noticed had problems, so decided to the investigation into why.

and this is probably it.

what this does is, checks if its a mana drain category spell, and if the mob is a caster, if its not a caster, it dont cast it.

you could try and comment out all these lines in your code, and that should probably make it cast.
 
ok where exactly would I have to do and put this at? or is that for the condition?
 
that spell is listed under the mana drain spell line but the target does not require mana(as far as I know no mabs have had mana since planes of power) so the recoarse still procs and is around 800 mana per tick recoarse.
 
yeah, but kiss detects its a mana drain spell and if the mob is not designated caster, it makes it not cast.

i commented it out in this one, try that and see if it works.

what this does is, checks if its a mana drain category spell, and if the mob is a caster, if its not a caster, it dont cast it.

you could try and comment out all these lines in your code, and that should probably make it cast.

This worked for me. It started casting Mind Excoriation correctly after I commented those lines out. Thanks! Cents given. :)
 
Nice, I had the same problem and ended up putting Mind Excoriation in my heal line up to make it work:

Heals12=Mind Excoriation|100|Tap|cond23

Cond23=!${Target.Buff[Malevolent Covenant].ID} && !${Me.Buff[Mind Erosion Recourse III].ID} && !${Me.Buff[Mind Excoriation Recourse III].ID} && ${Me.PctMana} < 90
