you havent been on this site long enough , you are using false threats first off . how you gona be 12 accounts w/o mq second , your paid class subscriptions are seperate from your mq subscription... piss them off and you be lucky to get to use mq , just saying lol
 
I want to say, as a developer myself, the the Redguides.com and MQ crews are doing a fantastic job. 👍

Keep up the great work, and I am sure things will get back to normal soon.

I am not threatening anything. This game simply isn't playable or enjoyable without MQ. I am simply providing my assessment of what will happen in my case. I was referring to DPG not the boys here.

Correct, it was towards DPG. Not this wonderful group who brought this game back to life for me.

I would have to concur. Personally, I find it difficult to fully enjoy playing EverQuest without MacroQuest.

I do have a main character that is not tied to MQ, which I normally use for raids or traditional group play. However, I haven’t really utilized that character, or maintained a subscription for it in over a year.

When I return to playing the game normally, it can be enjoyable for a week or so, but after that, the experience tends to become repetitive and loses its appeal.

Using MQ changes the experience for me. It turns the game into more of a strategic challenge, experimenting with different group compositions, testing new concepts, and essentially creating a “me against the world” style of gameplay. Because of that, the game becomes far more engaging and enjoyable for me.
 
Thank you Algar yes unrelated but still needed lol. now if i could just find a way to get my hands on the clean install of Rain of fear 2 i could go play the game.
I really do not understand why they brake this stuff. if it were me i would work with redguides as they help bring in more cash for the game.

Honestly, I think it falls in with it being kind of like darts at a dart board when they do ban waves as well, where they hit people who really haven't used/done anything sometimes. They don't WANT to break it fully, knowing they'd actually lose a ton of accounts, but they need to make it appear that they are doing SOMETHING for the loud naysayers.

EXACTLY! They seem to just put up a false front, like a politician. They are just showing the "lower class" that they care and are trying to fight the "bad guys" in order to keep subscriptions/votes. If they were "confident" that someone uses MQ, why not ban suspend ALL accounts associated with that email or ip address, and not just say 2 of 30 accts?
 
Does anyone know what things DPG is doing that make updating on patch day so hard now? It seems crazy to me that they would do that on purpose, but at this point nothing they do should surprise me I guess.

I see companies alienate their biggest clients all the time. Not surprising tbh. Honestly enjoying being able to camp some items on fangbreaker without the usual 20 afk bot crews.
 
They are! Even lastnight a player asked where is everyone? Its dead in PoK Gen chat numbers been 170-198 from normal 300!
I'm back old school boxing my SK-Rog with mage.

Yeah, I probably couldn't play without it long term, on TrueBox i never used it, even though there were people who knew how to crack it, and even bypass truebox code. It was a small number of people, but enough to really notice what could be done with it. Now that they removed truebox on the last few TLPs recently & the new server will hopefully not have it either (acccording to the vote) I can't go back, lol. I couldn't imagine playing live without it
 
If DPG was serious about staying around, and this is just my small opinion, they should approach the Redguides team, offer them a lucrative buyout and keep the staff to incorporate it into the game system for all. They would effectively, at bare minimum, double their paid accounts overnight and provide a different and more enjoyable game experience. It would breathe life back in to a degree.
