Hello everyone

Thought I'd share this fantastic exp spot with you that I found.

It's located in Loping Plains which you can get to this way:
PoK -> Steamfont Mountains -> Loping Plains

Once there you wanna head to this area of the map:

More specific:

The red crosses are the camps of 3-4 mobs each
The lille red circle is a single tree located in a safe spot (excluding roamers) where I set up my toons.

I gotta tell/warn you. This spot has a lot of mobs connected to it; 3 camps + roamers so you won't run out of mobs unless you're really quick :)
I only run out once in a while - for like 10-20 secs or so - having a high level dps in the group.

I've been running it with my 85 heroic berserker, 75 bard and 75 shaman. Mercs: Dps (L85, silver, A5), Healer (L75 Gold, J5), Tank (L75 Gold, J5)

A messer can be handy; as pulling each of the camps results in 3-4 mobs. I deal without and my J5 L75 merc tank does just fine.

I have never died - with the mentioned lineup - due to not being able to handle a pull from this location.

Hope any of you can use this. It has been very nice to me at least :)

Good luck!

The Goblin Fort out there is great as well, again three to 4 mob pulls at times. Loot can be platinum to spells which sell for a few hundred plat. Also ores and gems that drop a lot here, fine steel weapons too if I remember right. The fort is located near the Steamfont Mountains entrance near the quest NPCs. I will try out your spot though!

Just built a new heroic team and looking for places to hunt, as I have had my 100th level team for ages now and can't remember where I camped at those levels. Hopefully this zone is quiet and I can safely AFK if needed.

I was just out there on Test for a couple days. Works good. I would go to Tosk after this camp. I believe there is a guide for that as well.

I just used this for 81-85 and after 84 the vast majority of mobs are light blue with some turning green at 85 so you cannot do this camp to 88 (or at least it would be insanely slow.)

Necro posting on this one just because I was trying different things and I went to this spot with my team. I'm over level for "good" exp but I figured I'd try a few hours of farming to see how it yeilds. I stepped away and yes, I basically afk'd it for about 4 hours. When I came back, the entire team is all just sitting there with like 9 mobs surrounding them mezzed. (team has both a bard and a chanter in it) I have no idea how long they'd been like this but the chanter was around 30% of their mana while everyone around them was full sitting there picking their noses. I pulled up the tank window to see why he wasnt' doing anything. The silly bastard was up against the tree face one of the mobs on the OTHER side of the tree. The tree is barely wide enough to block the enemy mobs head, you could see him on either side of the trunk but evidently the LOS between the tank and the mob was perfect that he couldn't initiate his agro spell etc and just stood there. Since the mob was mezzed, it wasn't moving. I just started laughing as if I hadn't just barely stepped the tank aside so he could attacked this mob arms length away, they could of been stuck for days like that! LOL Just felt like sharing the stupid things that can happen when afk.

I ended up turning OFF autoduck on all my toons, so many times I find them crouched under an imaginary ledge or whatnot.... also it is funny how a step to the left or right and restarting kiss can do for your team! There is a magic sweet spot and /loc is your friend

Just giving some feed back. I used a Pal/Cleric/Ench/Dru/Monk combo here from 75-85. Exp was doing great until about 84, most things went light blue at that point. No complaints, still a really good spot and I found it a very quiet place to afk grind.

Wonder, did this place get buffed? I went there tonight with 81 Warrior/80 CLR/ENC/WIZ/DRU/MNK and couldn't keep up the pace. I was killing them fast, but couldn't keep up mana and had to evac out several times. My guys are pretty much full Defiant Elegant armor, probably the issue. I need better gear I suppose.

Not sure about that. I used this place to 6 box through those levels didn't have too much trouble. Then again I was mostly camping crocs along the shore easy to single pull and have minimal aggro.

Necroing this - with a Heroic 86 Pally I'm PLing a meme team of 5 other level 75 necros at this spot and averaging 1% XP per pull, along with great vendor loot. Mobs die within 14 seconds or so (need to do tweaking). This place is Fantastic if your tank can easily handle adds, which an 85+ heroic pally can. Not the fastest, but definitely out of the way.

Quick update. I've been taking my team of SK, SHM, Ench, Bard, Mage and Ber to Loping Plains to try a few of the suggested places.

1) Initially the good ol' Alligators on the beach in the south-east is great for a 75-80 group. Easy to set up with a nice pull area and single pulls almost guaranteed, making it a nice simple spot.
2) Tried the Ops spot by the tree with the 3 Orc camps and roaming mobs, but at low 80s and lower dps (I'm assuming his team was extremely high dps) I just got swamped with the numbers!
3) Moved north and up the cliff to the right of the Shades Hill tunnel/zone. Nice high-blue undead, easy to set up and control how many to engage and could easily ramp up numbers as team levelled.
4) Aiming to move back to Ops tree spot when my group can handle the volume as it does look a lovely spot for continuous action and xp:)

I just tried out the spot in Lopping planes and it was a real nice place for Auto pulls. Continuous action and fast leveling for toons needing a Power level. I used a Level 100 SK and 75 bard and 75 shaman with 3 mercenaries , was destroying everything in sight.

Great Experience till level 86

The restless gators on the far south by the shore are excellent. They are spread out so you should never get double agro. Plus, collect the clay samples from them for a quest.

You say, 'Hail, Ryveron'

Ryveron says 'Hello, my name is Ryveron and I'm Firstlight Alcove's builder. I have a couple of tasks that I could use [assistance] with if you are interested.'

You say, 'I'll give you some assistance'

Ryveron says 'As you can see, we have started rebuilding this are into our new home here in the Loping Plains. If you wish, you could help us by acquiring some materials for me.

You have been assigned the task 'Rebuilding - Clay'.

Loot 10 Mound of Clay from restless alligators 0/10 (Loping Plains)

Deliver 10 Mound of Clay to Ryveron 0/10 (Loping Plains)

I am 9 months late to this party but would like to offer the following suggestion.

Use the original spot by the tree, mentioned in the first post, as a reference. From there move a bit west up the hill over looking the camp. By moving to the top of the hill to the west before getting to the path, you can avoid the roamers. From this vantage point you can pull the single roamers are go towards the camp and pull the groups. I believe the distance from the camp to the "hilltop perch" is between 300-400 distance units. The pull range on my SK's terror line is 200 units so it was only a small advance forward then a quick /shd ReturnToCamp. With my beastie buffing SoW, there was no problem out running the mobs as I headed back to camp.

Be well. Happy gaming.
