Crew is about to hit lvl 69/70 and was looking for a nice and easy spot to grind to 80. Read a few guides on LP and DSH but wanted to see if there might be any other suggestions. Not looking to go way out to somewhere, if I don't have to, just a few ports for POK would be sweetness. No PL spots as I'm leveling an entire group.

thanks thanks

Prior to that camp, I did this one: https://www.redguides.com/community/threads/from-character-creation-to-yes-another-guide.58722/

Lvl 65-75:
At this level, PoFire C2 is the way to go, you won't run out of mobs. The castle is full of them. You'll get too some nice cash loot and tradeskills loot. Keep the TS ones, you'll have an use for them. Especially the ones for Smithing.
Set up a camp where there are a good amount of mobs and run the macro :) You can have a nice cup of tea or coffee in the meantime while looking at your xp bar. The XP rate there is still very good. You'll lvl pretty fast there.
A few hours and you'll be 70.. and a few more and then you'll be 75.

Just set up camp near the zone in (not C2) and pull mobs to you. Like it says above a never ending stream of mobs that can carry you into the 70s. I moved to the castle (c2) and camped the first floor rooms in the middle as well. Both were empty of other players for the most part.

what is grp make up, do you hit hot zones, how much are you actually wanting to be involved in camp
what server, expansion do you have access to?
Hatchery mission in pok (people use it to PL but....)
the benefit of that mission is that you can knock it out, zone out and redo it as often as u want, when u zone out u keep your lesson going
no waiting for spawns, and mobs will increase with you every 5 lvls
I used to also get a lower toon to request mission and then have a higher toon PL OR massacre the zone
rinse repeat move on (that place used to let me make lvl 80s years ago in an afternoon w out too much effort

@Agland thanks, I'll give that a look, both of them

@dealings Group is war, clr, brd, chanter, ranger, berserker - test server - all expansions are enabled I think there. I'll check out the HOT zone also thanks for that

@wymranar Nice, I'll check that out too, thanks

jewel of atiki is a fantastic zone to level in. especially when its the hotzone. easy single pulls around the pyramids (just make sure to cancel magic on the buffed efreetis because they will eat your face at the lower levels). you can also pick up the daily hotzone quest.

i think its level 75, so potentially a little bit much at 69, but i would definitely head there at 71+ when its the hotzone. when you get to even con it becomes a real exp pinata. i used to grind my lesson there up to about level 80 where i would pretty much clear the entire zone minus the mobs inside the pyramids.

Just wrapping up 75 at the C1/C2 location in POFire and wanted to give some quick feedback. As @Agland pointed out, camping the ZI is great from 69 to 70/71 Mobs turn light blue after that and things slow down. Pulls are super easy on a group and I was able to kill with relative ease even when multiples came in. After that I floated over to the C1 camp. Just lev'd up and hug the right wall until you see the wall and lev'd over. Make sure your invis. I camped right in the middle of the courtyard and again was able to pull with pretty much ease. A few multiples but nothing to bad. At 73 I rolled over to C2. Lev'd and invis'd up and again hugged the right wall aaaaallllll the way around the zone to the back side of C2. Mobs here DO see invis so have your macro's on chase and ready to engage if you agro. As you approach the cast just run north in front of it and as the front gate comes over your right shoulder, run directly down the middle of it I was able to run right down the middle of the front gate without getting agro, just had to wait for the roamers to path past. I camped right in the middle of the three buildings that had no mobs around them. Again easy pickings. I did get a few quads from pulls in the buildings but with your chanter setup right, this is no issue. AE mez and burn them down one at a time. After dinging 74, things slowed down. I'm gonna stick it out to 75 then move on to one of the other suggested spots. .. more to come..

So quick update, I did the Jewel of Atiki zone and didn't really like it. Hung out their for about half a level. Tried the Efeeti's but they were just to far apart. Went up the hill and did the gorilla and the other flying dudes, can't remember their names. This is a terrible spot as the flying dudes gate. I havn't quite figured out how to deal with that. I guess I could have the enchanter mana drain on dps but after a few wipes I said forget it. gonna move over to DWC and see how that fairs for a bit.

Yah DWC is nice and easy, its a few zones over by foot but once you get there, huge the left wall all the way around. Mobs do see invis here. Set camp where suggested, set rant for like 800 and your off to the races. I start here at 76. Mobs do hit for a ton so make sure your current level of defiant or equal/better gear. You will have to addignore the carrian piles to your INI also. Set your campfire in case of a bad pull. Easy. I should be able to start here for a few levels I believe.

I think I always went to Dragonscale Hill ( mino caves ftw ) and then onto Fort Mech in Faydwer.

You can use the interactive Zone Guide button on your map to filter all sorts of things... by XPAC , by Level, etc that can help as well.

I always fall back on Franklin Teek's daily hot zone. Although it doesn't change daily:confused: Only when the servers go down.

But you can keep killing in the zones even after the kill 5 is done and you get bonus exp. So your group is 65/70 then you would want to get the 3 level quests above and below those levels that he will give you. Plus each task awards you some plat and one of three pieces of level appropriate armor which you can turn around and sell to NPC if you don't need or to other players. There are also "hot" augs that will drop in these zones.

If you get the tasks all at once then you can do the other ones anytime during the day. If you only get one level task at a time then that is all you can do for that day, until tomorrow.

There also used to be better experience in LDON dungeons and there are tradeskill stuff in there you could sell. Plus the Dranick's Scar "Waterhole" and the others are a nice camp since the mobs respawn unlike LDON's.

I probably should have mentioned, when I was doing the zone, I was 3 boxing without the use of MQ2. It worked well because I’d pull one or two and then move onto the next one or two while my mercs finished the first mobs off, and do circuits round the pyramids, and I’d visit all the pyramids, and a couple of other places, that had mobs along the way. At bard speed, between areas I’d be constantly killing. By the time I’d cleared the last pyramid, the first one would be respawning.

Ills of note, it’s only good when it’s a hot zone for the exp bonus. You won’t get exp per kill this good in any other zone at this level.

You could probably replicate my manual approach on MQ2 by setting a large pull area that encompasses the three pyramids, and setting your puller to Hunter tank with your other toons on chase.

You guys should have been going after one of the coolest Visages in the game and sorta rare since not alot of folks pay attention while you are in Jewel of Atiki :

Efreeti Death Visage

It was my first quest I did upon my return a few years back that was new and exciting while I was leveling up.
